While yes both Arc and Stasis Surge is active here this will do even more damage when Bungie makes the change to surge modifiers in the future where all surges are active. Very satisfied with the result here but there can still be some improvements like not going braindead for a split second and forgetting to activate my super as well as getting a × 10 recombination Mtop shot off in the beginning. On PC, in the keybindings menu, there is a separate slot for normal melee, powered melee, or auto melee (melee ability if you have it, normal melee if you don't). That's all I can say, sorry. Check the bindings menu?

I had changed my uncharged melee to the down button on the dpad. Change all your emotes to "hold button" and that'll free up 4 buttons to use for your liking

Also, turn off Auto Melee. That option basically allows the game to guess which type of melee you want to use based on how far away you are from an enemy, (this often messes up players who want to use an ability next to an enemy). You'll absolutely want to have a separate button for both charged, (abilities like knives, arcane needles, or frenzied blades), and uncharged melee attacks, (punches, but can be buffed by combination blow, knockout, roaring flames, and offensive bulwark to count as powered melee hits without expending ability charges).

I actually thought of this DPS method on my own and it's really strong regardless. There isn't as much super damage here, so maybe it would be better with rain of fire and Icarus Dash for free reloads instead. To take better advantage of star eaters, I'd suggest grenade, melee, then Acrius.

@@Zed-1213the buffs Song of Flame give you is worth enough to use the super as a weapon damage rotation for dps. And using the grenade uses up so much of the super energy. SoF gives you 90% damage resist (30% for teammates), Radiant, and scorch for kinetic/solar weapons for the whole fireteam (good for long ranged dps phases like Whisper of The Worm). I honestly think Song of Flame has more value as a passive buff than actually using its abilities to proc ignite and funny bird.

The important fragments used here are Facet of Dominance for weaken, Facet of Courage for 10% extra super damage, Facet of Command to get a free reload and Facet of Ruin for increased shatter damage. I do think 4.5 million solo is possible before Bungie makes the surge changes. I can see this doing 5+ after. DIM link is in the description.

When having arc surge on herald of finality I thought it made a lot of sense to use this, Tried it and did 3.5 mill without a 30% rebuff My team immediately all swapped

Some people might think the auto load from it isn't necessary since you can technically reload faster than you can fire but it helps to reduce downtime from having to reload after a melee

due to warlock melee's being to synergistic with legend of acrius we've decided to nerf titans so they can only use 1 melee per life

Because it eats at my super bar when I want to keep it up for as many melees for the boosted ignitions and trench barrel as possible

I use this exact setup to run tractor with a trench aggressive shotty. Puts out a shit ton of damage for a tractor player. I’m assuming your class item is necrotic + star eaters.

I'm planning on testing that set up today too lol. Tractor + healing auto + trench shotty. And yeah it's Necrotic/Star Eater

@@Surf272 love that. I was just doing three shots per melee until empty and then just one shot per melee and reloading a shell. Curious if there’s a better method. Only downside is that tractor procs facet of command so you can’t utilize freeze to reload your main shotgun.

@@hondo2356 I have an auto loading/trench imperial decree which should do. Start the dps phase with healing my teammate for the 10% dmg, super, tractor, dump shotty, tractor, heal teammate, dump shotty repeat till it's over. It won't do the most damage ever but providing almost ~87% more damage to the team should suffice lol. I didn't think about tractor suppressing thus proccing command.

What is the roll in your class item you are using? Is this just raw damage with legend of acrius and song of flame? Or is it with star eater? And if so does this give you weapon damage aswell?

I'm using star eater/necrotic. Star Eater doesn't give bonus weapon damage. It just enhances the grenade, melee and ignitions caused by the melee. Check out my updated version where I do nearly 5 million damage

Technically both but I believe the bleak watcher is what activates it here both times as I throw the transcendence grenade during the 11 second cooldown

Apologies but I read that wrong and thought you said Facet of Command 😅. My transcendent grenade does apply weaken and so would my vortex at the end of the super. Bleak Watcher is there for the extra shatter damage and free reload.

You think this will be the Best DPS for Warlock for the first Boss in the Salvation Edge raid? Forgot his name but the boss with the big head that throws the blights at you. We normally use swords but without surges this should put out way more DPS than any sword can.

On Warlock specifically, maybe. A caster frame Ergo Sum with Perfect Fifth boosted by wolfpack rounds, while transcendent, is the highest sword DPS in the game rn. I don't have one yet to test to see how it compares. Part of why this does so much is because of Star Eater Song of Flame and the boost it gives to ignition damage. If anyone else in the fireteam while you are in SoF is dealing solar or kinetic damage they could potentially steal some of your scorch/ignitions. Swords are definitely much easier to use and many people don't have Acrius or it's catalyst.

@@isaiahrawlinson4885 only 1 person would take advantage of the scorch/ignitions it causes but everyone could proc their own perfect fifth. Everyone else should rock a relentless/whirlwind sword except for the wolfpack user who should probably use a bns sword.

@@Surf272 Appreciate the response. We're expert raiders and have done a few Day 1 raids so all of us have Acrius and the cat. I won't tell them to switch tho I kinda wanna randomly pull it out and have the most DPS out of no where if we wipe but I just wanna max my DPS and I feel like a sword is good but if it's a better option I'd rather use that. I'd prolly take Helion out cuz I'd prefer to have devour but using the turret to reproc Facet of Command to reload Acrius is genius. I'll run it with them Wednesday so I'll see. I do need to practice with Acrius so I'll run strikes for that.

I wonder if Bastion pairs with the Song of Flame melee. If so, it would be interesting to see the difference in damage between that rotation and the one in this video (especially when paired with star eater).

I was also trying to find a damage set up that would allow one to take advantage of the 3 melees locks get with needle, for something like reload, or continue to do dmg with very limiting results. Same for demo tho. Or anything unique to lock especially with prismatic.

Apotheosis with penumbral was an insane combo I wanted to try with Facet of Command until Bungie fixed the cooldown. But yeah unless you're using demo or graverobber there aren't too many other options
