The main thing I liked about this DLC is that unlike the rest of the game where you are clearly seen as the good guy. In this it's sort of a grey area, because guardians are supposed to be seen as protectors, but you go off and pretty much murder the Barons and Uldren out of revenge, which to Zavala isn't the Guardian way.

Zavala is both a great leader but a huge idiot at the same time his motivations in staying to keep the last city safe is good but just staying in the last city forever won’t get humanity anywhere eventually it’ll just grow stagnant or perish under another ghaul. I fail to see how this is a gray area. The criminals locked up here sought to create as much destruction as possible. Uldren would burn the universe if it meant getting back his sister. We just put down several threats to both The Last City as well as to The Reef. If Uldren was spared, that would lead to another attempt of destruction on these places for another Oryx wannabe, but he’d work harder to make it harder to reach him. This was the best course of action. I’m afraid we should probably kill him off later since Bungie mistakenly made him a guardian. I feel bad for Uldren’s ghost, but nobody is perfect.

I would've preferred fighting Uldren over that glorified meatball any day. It could've been awesome! Round 1: Fighting Uldren 1v1 and we smack the bastard. Round 2: The 'Queen' channels her power into him making stronger. Gravity shifts in the room, minions begin to spawn, explosions! Round 3: The Voice of Riven merges with Uldren and battle ensues. And still... after all that crap, we still come out on top.

William Beck it wasn’t an Ahamkara. It was a Chimera. If you opened your ghost it said something along the lines of “kill the chimera in between you and Uldren”

you see David, the Ahamkara ARE Chimeras. They're shapeshifters, some of the triumph lore talks of Riven changing form to help construct the ascendant plane for Mara. They appear as Dragons to the Guardians because it makes us easier to manipulate and control. While that wasn't Riven herself, we'll be killing her in the raid, it was essentially an Echo of her similar to what Oryx did.

The story isn't a joke... the voice of riven is a taken servitor. Riven is Mara Sov's Ahamkara, which are essentially dragons in destiny and are incredibly powerful. We killed most of them off, and now one is presumably taken. The one controlling the taken is probably Savathuun, Oryx's sister whos been teased for a long ass time. We getting good shit now

Not to be rude or anything but what did expect the ending to be? The trailers showed Caydes death so no surprise there, he took the Ace of Spades which we all knew we would eventually get and the Bungie was trying to make Caydes death personal and we all know how "Now it's personal" stories normally pan out. I mean unless you kept away from any destiny news you should've seen the ending comin.
