Nah. He enjoys acting. I watched a show years ago called Fringe that he played a large part in and different personalities in the show for the handful of years it aired. You can tell he loves acting. Honestly, Caiatl is currently one of the VERY few enemies that I hold respect for. She sees us as worthy allies, and recognizes that we will prove our worth as warriors who are her equals. The only other enemies that I have come to respect are Ghaul and Oryx, for obvious reasons. I'm very interested and excited to see how this season plays out.

I don’t think Ghoul respected us in the slightest he threw us off a building after pretty much making you powerless and even after you killed him he still seen himself as a stonger opponent than you just to be killed by the traveler oryx he again seen himself more powerful which is correct but we pretty much fight him as he’s crippled and he’s still a hard opponent showing how strong he actually was caiatl on the other hand respects us probably due to the amount of shit we killed and knows not to be overconfident like her old leader was (ghoul)

I wouldn't say it's irrlevant. She put one of the few Guardians that could rival us out of commission. And it wasn't even her directly. It's just a taste of what's to come. We've stepped into another war with the Cabal and all we are doing is fueling her. S15 is the momen't she's gonna come knocking, just in time for Witch Queen, where, I'm assuming, she'll be the raid boss, and Savathun will "join" us. Not to mention, Caiatl's history is tied directly to Xivu and Savathun too.

Yeah ghoul was leader of the red legion up till his death by us at the end of the red war campaign and caiatl being the second highest ranked in the red legion took over it

The remaining high ranking officers within the Legion (those in the Solar system at least) eventually died and it was Val Ca'our that took over the Red Legion after Ghaul died. Of course, he too died in Spire of Stars and the Legion was leaderless until the Flayers...and then they died so Caiatl had literally no opposition to assume leadership.

Every Guardian had an obsession, that was the lesson that Savos Uthrien learned in the bowels of the Leviathan. When the Darkness arrived and he sought greater power, he did not gain power but instead understanding. And that alone changed him. Every Guardian's obsession defined them. Eris had the Darkness, Asher had the Vex, Osiris had his visions and the corridors of time, Saint had his faith, and Cayde had his past. "With nothing but our Light when we are reborn, we cling to anything to give us purpose. Identity." Savos had discovered this and understood it better than ever now that the Cabal came to Sol. What did Savos obsess over? He had once thought it was the Light, but that was instead a support not an obsession, then he thought it was Oryx but he was dealt with soon enough. It was only when his Light was stripped from him did he learn what his true obsession was. Cabal. And what they were and could have been. He saw in the Cabal a future humanity narrowly escaped. He saw what mankind could have become in a world without the Traveler at their side. Had the roles been reverse, would he have gone to Torobatl with the intent of caging the Traveler, as Ghaul did? He saw this in the Eliksni as well, but to a lesser extent. In The Red War he gained strength, in the Leviathan he gained understanding, in the Sundial he gained new allies and a new future, and in the Almighty he gained patience. What would Caiatl bring? Would this be his final confrontation with the Cabal? If so, what was their final lesson to him, and could he save them? Was it possible to save the Cabal? He never respected any Cabal leader before Caiatl, he feared Ghaul, he was suspicious of Calus, but he never respected them. And yet here she was, a Cabal he could imagine fighting beside in another life. It was for that same reason, that same respect, that he would put every last ounce of his Light in bringing the Cabal to their knees one last time. And then, he would face the future.

And what did Elizabeth say about the Darkness? It’s cause if corruption is obsession. The Darkness preys on obsession until it can possess someone, or if they’ve served their use as it’s pawn, is disposed of. Many characters in the dark future died due to their own obsessions that the Darkness preyed on. Eris became corrupted by the darkness searching for understanding of it. Ana, when she sought the power of stasis for a new sense of identity after losing her light. Mara died due to her arrogance, even with overwhelming odds, she didn’t know how to lose, only outlast until the inevitable finally happened. The Drifter died due to his obsession of surviving the second collapse, which he didn’t, even going so far as to sacrifice his humanity to become an Exo. Many other Guardians were corrupted by the darkness due to their obsession, and the cause of that? They’re will may have been too weak. It makes since that Elsie, Eris and Drifter were the few first to wield stasis, as they’re will has been hardened that is to Elsie and due to the three of them experiencing centuries of grief and hardship. The three of them, in this timeline, have a strong enough will to resist obsession and temptation, to wield stasis without being corrupted. Hopefully, the Vanguard will learn to accept wielding the balance of light and dark, it may be the only way to survive Lightfall, and the Final Shape.

Psions are probably one if the most advanced races in the galaxy. They made the OXA, and they made the new bow, which canonically never missed becuase it literally bends time and space to summon arrows from an alternate time line whether they have already hit their target. Like wtf.

I really really like Caiatl, and with the way the lore is going this season, it’s looking like she may become another mainstay character who is neutral toward us rather that directly against us, like Calus or Mara. Caiatl only proposed a half alliance because her councillors would judge her as weak if she went for a full alliance, and I think by the end of this season once we’ve killed enough of their warriors, the rest of Caiatl’s consort will come to also realise that a mutual alliance is much more beneficial to them than a war.

Okay so when is Bungie gonna make Byf a character in game? Like seriously, make Byf a guardian on the tower in like a library type room and call him "The Historian" or "Lore Keeper" and have us run bounties for him to collect odd and random pieces of lore that he then tells us about in game. Obviously he wouldn't be a major character but at the very least should exist. My friends and I gave up on trying to follow Destiny lore until Byf came around and in our head cannon he is our lore keeper for our guardians.

So the darkness or the hive destroyed the cabal homeworld. That is horrifying considering they have a interstellar empire meaning their world would have be a fortress for it to fall so quickly speaks fulum of how strong the enemy we face is. Am so excited 😁

Heir Apparent, was the exotic ya earned last years guardian games. As of right now ya can't earn it, but I would not be surprised ya get a new chance to earn it this year's guardian games.
