Destiny 2 OOB: The Unused Tomb Ship and Fake Oryx Arena (Portico Box Break)

I've been having a lot of fun with King's Fall out of map. ‪@A2TC‬ showed me a nice box break for Portico. There's some intersting stuff out there, including an unused section that looks a lot like the ships jumping puzzle, and a copy of the Oryx boss arena.
It's a bit of a long trek. I recommend bringing along a friend or two to make the stasis climbing faster. You'll also need to do some Z-Climbing • Destiny 2: Z-Climbing

Very similar to d1, the barriers have changed quite a bit and it’s much darker. Although that tombship behind the elevator definitely isn’t present in d1, even if you could only touch it for a second it could maybe cause other ships to spawn which would’ve been intresting. Some extra things I would like to see if you revisit this area: -Under the elevator teleport location (the area past the low poly oryx room) down to the right in d1 was a gun solid that was very similar to - the turrets used in halo, I wonder if it’s still there… -In Balisica (totems loadzone) out of bounds, back past where you come up the elevator, in d1 there was a weird animated object with green and yellow spiralling lights which with our limited d1. -After completing relics, there is another auto res when all players past through the portal (or when all players that have not gone through the portal die), could you have a teammate stay at relics and go thru the portal when you say to trigger the auto res? (This would involve completing relics but would likely be faster with more players). -And lastly in D1 Balisica, you could actually go down the unloaded golg maze and the chest would be floating in the air (allowing you to skip the plate puzzle) I think the made it so the chest only spawns when completing the puzzle in d2 but maybe worth checking. Nice video, I always like the longer exploration videos.

Next one should show a good deal more of the differences, although I sure don't know what they are... I did spot a swirly thing in the distance that could be the thing you're talking about. I hear the cannon isn't there, but haven't redone the climb a third time to check ;)

@@Froggy618157725 Coolio, would love to see what happens when you touch the unused ship (although I doubt it has any code that will make it move) One other thing is if you can figure a way oob of oryx’s boss room, being able to see the shade from the outside would be really cool, in d1 it was pretty sick but the d2 shade has blue walls so I bet it would look even cooler.

Also I think the extra area in portico is so the view from threshold has something to look at from the top. I had always suspected that was the tomb ship area but something looked off about it.

really neat video! i always love your raid OOB showcases since they allow me to see areas i'm very familiar with in an entirely different way. it'd be cool if you guys were able to find where oryx's model is stored out of bounds for the boss encounter (if it even is to begin with). jb3 posted a video a couple of years back showing the riven model's location out of map (kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6XXmGWhZbiUZ7c), which is why i suspect oryx might be treated the same.

I don't think it is, certainly not close by when the encounter isn't there. We could probably see him spawn in if we glitch out of map before sisters and stay there though.

YESSSS I WAS TRYING TO DO THIS A FEW DAYS AGO. Do you think you'd be able to get a good look at the section of portico that's behind the elevator? Where the Cannon use to be? I know it isn't there but just wanted to see that area.

is there an autores at the end of totems for the irb in totems? Would be super nice for skips and stuff

Should be an autorez after each encounter, and in most of the transitions. Totems doesn't have a joining allies, but most encounters do. Warpriest isn't very far from totems though, so that on probably doesn't help. There are also loads of "Everyone must be here" doors. They sometimes mean everyone in the load, so those can be worked around...

Yeah, D1 had a big rail gun type thing, but sadly I think it's gone in the D2 version. There's some other cool stuff though that we went to out of box in Basilica. I'll have a clip of that whenever I finish the Thunderdome video :D

Great stuff froggy! I’ve been trying to find a way out of the court of oryx area since it returned and I keep hoping to see you post a video doing so. This stuff is great tho! I’m wondering if the OOB area from D1 totems is still there as I haven’t tried it yet. Also, just wondering… what mod is giving you improved ability regen? I just can’t find it and I feel like it’s a hidden mod I’m missing. As always, keep up the great work!

I think that "fake" oryx area might be the real one thats just super unloaded. My reason for thinking so is that when you look to saturn from the soild platform there it looks the exact same as his arena. Could be wrong but it does look like it.

Destiny raids often show you the end area from the start, and that means you can generally see the start from the end, too. I'm unsure if the locations are the same. They likely are. There's no need for a high rez version though at those distances, so they have a low poly mock up of it that works just as good at that range.

Hey Froggy love the videos man, quick question, do you have any idea if the Orbital Cannon that was in the original Kings fall is still there? in the original kings fall way out of bounds (not sure where exactly) there was a Halo 3 Orbital cannon placed out there. they probably took it out but it'd be worth checking out.

Hey Froggy, I don't really OOB myself (unless I do it totally accidentally) but I like watching other people do it, such as yourself. I'm sure you're aware that you can use a sparrow to get through the gate at the end of the Preservation mission to explore a bit more of the raid, but you can't get very far before you encounter an invisible barrier in front of you, and a giant hole to your right. I was wondering if you'd had a look around there, and if there was anything worth looking at? I can't sword-fly very well at all 😅
