@@theSixPathsOfTrains killed Riven twice, the first time was with Glacial Quakes. Honestly REALLY not needed, it just lets you skip shooting eyes/doing blister damage because she gets brought down to final stand really quickly (she conveniently spawns a Taken Ogre and two Goblins right as damage starts). The second time we did it normally with an assortment of weapons (I had Cataclysmic, couple others had Cataphracts etc) and it worked out extremely easily as well. Most of her HP bar can be done just with blisters, so as long as you can navigate the mechanics it's smooth sailing.

Never done Riven legit and thought she was gonna be dreadful but Riven turned out to be one of the easier encounters during Pantheon and it was actually pretty fun

Great video and great review. My teams favourite encounters were Nezarec and Riven (we'd never done the latter legit before). I'd have liked to do Rhulk properly, but due to the time of night it was when we got there, we cheesed him both times just to get it done. Least favourite was Planets, it felt like there was a step we didn't understand properly about DPS, or at least it feeling very hard compared to the other encounters to do sufficient damage for the 2 phase. That being said, I've now been a Godslayer for a couple of hours and I'm very grateful to my friends for bringing me into the team.

Oryx is quite frustrating because the bombs attack is so lethal compared to the thunderdome attack. His bombs attack now only ends when the knights are killed. The knights are tanky, and they need to be killed on the move. Makes the fight feel more like a 50/50

absolutely loved it, would class myself as a "casual" hardcore player, always come back to the game in the month(s) before the main expansion, but don't play all the seasons, haven't done any solo flawless dungeons or anything but have loved raiding over the years since VOG (but i only have single digit clears of most raids) and have always LFG'd, the last few weeks had its painful slogs but this is been some of the best experiences i've had with destiny over the years while LFGing is a roll of the dice with the people you get, if you roll enough you get a team that can do it, and i think going for godslayer was the ultimate test of not just getting a good team together, but also YOU, the lowest common denominator, being actually good at the game and good at DPS rotations. It wouldn't be possible to get plat on all runs if one team member wasn't pulling their own weight (unless you had some real beast mode PVE carrying players, even then i think not) I think harsh take but anybody whining and blaming the bad teammates from LFG not being able to clear it needs to take cold hard look in the mirror, were you actively trying to lead the team with strategies? were you helping people with mistakes? were you consistently top DPS? Can you role swap to any of the roles in all the encounters? if you couldn't answer yes to all of those questions then you don't have a right to blame any teammates Grinding these encounters, learning the mechanics inside and out, the raw excitement with random people i met online on each kill is the palpable magic you can't get in any other game

So when I went into pantheon, the ONLY raid encounter I had no idea on was riven legit, as nobody ever wanted to teach legit so I was never able to learn it untill week 4 of pantheon dropped, and MAN am I both glad they fixed the cheese so I HAD to do it legit, but also am so sad they didn't do it sooner, not to mention that it was legitimately one of the easiest encounters in pantheon, either way though, it's definitely cemented itself as one of my favorite raid encounters of all time, right under rhulk and aksis

I really hope they incorporate the damage resist for Riven in the normal version of the raid. I think that it could have used a bit more additions, but it's definitely a challenging encounter by itself. The warts being the main source of damage felt really rewarding, though.

My small clan and I got Godslayer. Not for the average group or LFG. After knocking out the first few encounters on the first try, Riven & Nez took us TWELVE hours to finish with platinum scores. Don’t even try unless you’re prepared for that

Love the Fantano bit. My thoughts following the LFG roulette each week to godslayer the biggest hurdles were planets, rhulk, and nezi as LFG groups really struggle to stay alive during these encounters. Eli test take it is disappointing how many groups I joined required cheeses to get through some of these bosses (rhulk and nezi spots) as these fights are so much more fun and rewarding to legit. I give this experience a 9/10 and hope Bungie does something like this again in the future

Rulk week was so frustrating smdh. Whoever decided to put in shadow rulk or those fire tornadoes that just so "happen" to spawn right on top of players and launching darkness so you can't do dmg to nezarack on plates. I hope they all got laid off and are disappointed

@@theSixPathsOfTrains Except you never needed the plates to do DPS to Nezarec, and the fire tornadoes are extremely easy to avoid. You're coping out of your mind because the fights aren't brain off simple anymore, and the copium of "I can't stand on one plate to dps nezarec and avoid everything he does!" is peak brain damage - Nezarec needed improvements to his abysmal fight, and this is a massive step in the right direction for making the boss an actual boss. It should be come standard, and the ideas for improving planets, rhulk, and nezarec should become standard for Master.

There is zero reason you should miss a planet dunk because of the tornado unless you're taking forever to kill a collosus, in which case your loadouts need to be improved significantly. The tornado is not hard to deal with at all.

I enjoyed Pantheon, and I'm happy and proud that me and my clan managed to complete it all and get Godslayer. My main issue is with Nezarec and just what a buggy mess that fight is. Nezarec will just sometimes jump off the map, teleporting back... somewhere.. totally disrupting the damage phase. Sometimes the beam that signifies the start of damage would just not appear, and his constant teleporting and suppressing just made it an annoying mess.

I believe they did this to gauge the appropriate difficulty for day 1 and day 2 raids. Additionally, the concept of solving all problems within an encounter is something I think will be incorporated into the next raid.

My biggest complaint about Pantheon was it was such a huge missed opportunity to put some vaulted content back into the game - a lot of people who are playing now have never done Gahlron or Callus, and it would have been cool to see bosses from all of destiny 2's history involved.

Fighting Riven in Pantheon was the first time I had ever done her legit. and it was probably my favorite encounter in the whole activity. The callouts and communications we had made it feel like we were in a competitive place in a day 1 race

2 of the 4 hours of my week 4 Pantheon was spent at Rhulk, because we refused to cheese it, and I had such a blast. And yeah, once we figured out how to not die it was an easy 2 phase. If you cheesed it this week, I highly recommend giving it a shot legit next week.

I enjoyed it. It was cool to have a victory lap, and I enjoyed getting to play harder level activities without having to do weird encounter challenges that distort the encounter and get in the way of just playing the game. I hope that something like this can become an annual event, I think it would be awesome to see new lineups and I would love to see a Dungeon Boss Pantheon or even a GM boss Pantheon for the smaller teams. Some things I hope for in the future: 1. Bungie takes a harder stance on nerfing cheeses. Riven was a great fix, why didn't we get the same for Atraks-1? 2. Champions do not belong in raids period. Their absence here was a welcome absence. 3. If they can find a way to patch some common cheeses in encounters like Templar and Atheon, I'd love to see those. I'm sure that the "everyone die" before the encounter starts cheese is why Atheon didn't make it in. 4. Remove Master mode. Replace it with permanent contest mode. Disentangle Adept weapons from encounter challenges. Just give us loot for completing enounters, and give us bonus loot for doing challenges. 5. Despite the population of raiders being a small fraction of the total, there are A LOT of us who really like this kind of challenge. Make us more stuff!!!

I've never raided so much in my entire time in Destiny 2. Im in love with Pantheon, and im really hoping they make some of these changes for master mode difficulty raids once final shape is launched. I'd love if every raid encounter got an extra layer of difficulty in master mode but know thats oretty unreasonable

My group was stuck on Planets for around 4 hours until we swapped in another star eaters golden gun, we just couldn't get enough consistent damage with GLs and honestly it was pretty frustrating. Everything else about week 4 Pantheon was pretty enjoyable though, it was also my first time through Riven legit and our whole team agreed afterwards that any time we'd run Riven, we'd do it that way because honestly it was just a lot of fun This is definitely the hardest Destiny content I've tackled, and it took us around 12 hours in total but I'm glad to have tackled it

I think above all else is that they not only cranked this out an a short timeline, but made it free to play, it drops awesome loot, and gave people and awesome pinnacle thing to do in a game that didn't REALLY have one. Pantheon has been awesome and while I don't think this should be baby's first raiding experience - I have seen tons of people who would have never touched raids hop into this activity and find that they were having a blast. This activity is a huge win even if I'm not the biggest fans of all the encounters and wish they would have cranked a few of them a bit harder - Awesome activity and all for free. +I FINALLY got 1k Voices and Eyes

Root of nightmares was the only raid that I had ran prior to Pantheon. I had to learn it all from scratch. I am now at Riven and Nazarek. More than 25 plus hours on those two fights trying to get them done and still cannot find a team that can do it. Haven't made it past the shoot the six eyes all at once part of Riven. Haven't made it to Second damaged phase on Nezzy. So aggravated and tired of rerunning over and over and not getting it done

Honestly, this is a perfect yearly event to drop before expansions. It's the mountaintop of the year, and I like that it gives you a limited time to earn a title that will actually be rare. As someone who has only recently become capable of high-level content, this has been a great challenge for me, especially because I dont have a clan right now. I dont have Plat finished yet, but I am bound and determined to be a Godslayer when I go toe to toe with the witness in the next few weeks.

Having a yearly Pantheon experience would be great. Every year, new bosses, new additions to the encounters. Even if it's reoccurring bosses year over year, a new mechanic shakes the game up again. I'm afraid I won't get the Godslayer title. Out of my raid team we had 3 UK players and 3 US/Canada players. My schedule was the odd one out 'cause two of the US players worked nights, and the UK players who go to bed when the night crew goes to work left my regular ol' 9-5 out of the mix. I was ditched, they all got their titles and I'm just like 😭 Weeks 1-3 complete. Week 4 we missed the highscore for Atraks and Rhulk. No one rejoined to help out later in the week.

I really do think they should bring this back in the future, rotating out a brand new set of encounters every now and then, maybe not reworking all of them but bumping them up to the same level as what we’ve seen here

After playing and trying to get the title. I realized that it no longer mattered of how hard the boss was or getting the mechanics. It was surviving and keeping yourself in the fight. If Bungie was really preparing us for final shape. Our main concern is staying alive and pantheon has made people realized how difficult is it going to be. I loved pantheon

What a great activity. I dont do raids much, so was a challenge to push through LFG, but finally getting godslayer, learning so much, laughing together in planets misery prison and so much more... Kudos to Bungie! Hands down one of the best things they have done in the game!

For Oryx, I wish the Tormentor that spawned in was already one without its shoulders, AND make it a Boss-type Tormentor. This means no CC for it, and even though it spawns while immune, you have to make the decision of whether you're partially dealing with it, or just laying into Oryx and then worrying about it. If shadow Rhulk had focused a player and then changed their focus whenever someone dunked, also doing a dash in the direction of that player, I think it would have made it more interesting. For Riven, I like that the encounter is effectively forced to be done as intended, but I wish they had made the timer longer, and not capable of one-phasing it. Nez, I can't complain, I wish this is how Day1 RoN had been. The only thing I wish they had done differently, is instead of a tormentor spawning when you finish running a side, I wish the tormentor spawned on the opposite side.

As someone who is guardian rank 11, I agree that Riven should’ve been in earlier weeks. I have no desire to sift through the hell that is LFG week 3 or 4 pantheon.

Went smooth enough for me, also helped reveal that the clan I did raids with were toxic and had egos when they couldn't even beat riven so I just dipped, grabbed some LFGs and became godslayer

In regards to the Tormentor on Atraks, my team and I had the issue of killing it but still missed out on plat by about 5000 points; yet when we ignored it we cleared it with plat just fine. Either way I loved Pantheon, but I experienced so many bugs and issues during week 4. Edit: As an addition having to do Riven legit for the first time in YEARS was so nice, even if the cheese takes prominence again I'm pushing for a legit run from now on.

Cleared everything and got my Godslayer all through fireteam finder. Came back to the game after taking a break since beyond light & i learned all of the encounters except atraks in pantheon. GGs

I don't typically clear master raids, but I loved pantheon. Going week by week with escalating difficulty was a blast. The title and emblem are so nice to show off because of what it took to earn them in a relatively short time. I did it all with LFG's too, so that was neat. Week 3 team was spotty, weeding out the more casual players that managed week 2. Week 4's team was just on point. They should do this every year IMO.

I guess the obvious piece of feedback here is that the encounters that got "just a tormentor" like Atraks should stay the same, but for the ones that got shaken up and almost redone, like Nezarec, Riven, Explicator , Rhulk...those should be incorporated into the base raids. I mean, they already coded them, it'd be a shame if we went back to cheesing Riven or Nez being a pushover...even though those of us who would appreciate the changes the most will probably never run those raids again, unless there's some new loot to chase (or a refresh).

As someone who’s entire team never done riven legit, it was really fun to do it for the first time. Felt underwhelmed though when blisters did 75% of the damage for a (surprising) one phase

Love the creativity you have been doing this past while, from this to ad-reads that I don't feel inclined to skip through to the new approaches to familiar, recurring videos like "what to farm/grind for from this activity / season". I am by no means a heavy raider, having only completed an encounter in five of the nine current raids and full completions of only three of those. I am glad that Bungie is able to cater to the less casual crowd with an activity that has a high barrier for entry and completion. That being said, I will be happy once Pantheon is gone and 90 percent of the posts in my LFG feed are no longer about Pantheon. The only real critique I have of the mode is that the tangible rewards (i.e. Raid weapons, two Raid Exotics) aside from emblems and prestige seem to be geared towards people who don't raid. I get that for high level players including yourself, there is not much left to grind for anyways from a Raid, and the Raid Exotics could equally just as much be for frequent Raiders who have been missing one or two Raid Exotics after dozens if not more runs. One of the Raid Exotic quests *was* for the lowest difficulty week, which could also serve as an easy 'treat' for players who might want to try these raids at least once to get one of those coveted Exotics; putting the other Exotic quest behind the highest difficulty completion seems to spit in the face of that idea, and perhaps teased casuals too much with the idea of two free Raid Exotics.

Ive finished it completely and have been replaying it and helping others. its also an incredibly easy spoils farm so ive gotten every raid exotic ive missed and have gotten 5 red borders finished. Thanks pantheon!

Week 4 was a SLOG but also the most fun I've had and got the title done. Crazy thing is I did it 100% lfg. Maybe I got lucky, but 90% of the lfgs were pretty chill. And my group learned riven while doing it lol. Wasn't really hard once you learn the mechanics.

By far, one of the biggest things I regret is not 2 phasing Nez. We got the platinum with 3 phases, but I don't think our sanity would still exist if we did. To be fair though, after 2 phases he was just a hair from final stand so with better ammo drops we could have done it. Edit: I should also mention. We cheesed Rhulk, but he wouldn't have been hard since we used T-Lord in week 2, which sucked, and we used the left side damage spot with a Div. If we used GLs, it wouldn't have been bad, and if we fought Rhulk with like Rockets it would not have been hard. Overall, I'm proud of this.
