Chris Fritz Lunas howl makes sense for his handcannon with Luna since it goes hand to hand with them being partners. Also with how each time the handcannon fires Luna would bark. Then after luna’s death shaxx uses his own components (he’s the crucible so he has more crucible oriented powerful gear) and the gun is then named not forgotten. Because Josef never forgot Luna and is now stronger, channeling his rage to avenge Luna

I use to hate Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten.. and I rejoiced at the nerf.. but after reviewing it and seeing how things have played out in the months after the nerf. I really feel like they nerfed it way way too much. It's basically strictly worse in most situations (PvE and PvP) than many other much easier to get (and use) hand cannons.

Luna's Howl: When I got that weapon, I was so proud of myself for managing it and I loved it so much that it's still one of my favorite weapons even after the nerf and the story makes me like this gun more because every Hive I shoot with this thing is avenging one damn good doggo.

It's still a pretty damn good weapon. I actually have been enjoying more than even my Not Forgotten. I feel like Luna's Howl is far better for pairing with a sniper rifle than Not Forgotten so I have been doing just that and pairing my Luna's with my Revoker. Man, it's such a solid combination. Luna's also feels much better for handcannon duels than Not Forgotten because of the higher stability and handling.

I wouldn't say it's bad but it isn't as good as the other top contenders like Spare Rations or Sunshot. Not Forgotten is the one I struggle with, sadly enough. The flinch when getting hit throws off your shots so much and makes it difficult to land the three tap sometimes. I did just watch bakengansta's video about Not Forgotten though and I noticed that he was doing constant flick shooting and mimicking the recoil from other handcannons while doing it. That might actually be the way to go as expecting your reticle to reset on the target's head, is a bad idea while getting flinched with these two guns.

We put our dog down yesterday. We got him when I was in elementary school and he made it to me graduating high school and he was the greatest chiller I’ll ever know. His og canon was likely the Not Forgotten, dame type of canon as Luna’s. The canons name suggest it aswell, Luna is “Not forgotten”

Josef prob named his original gun the Lunas Howl. The name works whether the dog is alive or dead. It makes better sense that Shaxx makes Not Forgotten because at this point the dog is most likely dead.

My dog, Lucy, passed away from a brain tumor a few weeks before Destiny 2 launched. It was a bad time in my life, and Destiny 2 was a source of comfort. I played all through year 1 as a way to try and heal and escape from life. When Forsaken launched and I discovered this lore I worked endlessly to get Luna's and then Not Forgotten.
