The friends and memories I've made along the way are irreplaceable. I started my journey as a Guardian on day 1 of Destiny 1 at gamestop as an 11-year-old, when my mom bought me the game for my Xbox 360 and an expensive storage card so I could even play the game. I loved seeing the story grow, move and develop forward as my life did as well and Destiny is an integral part of my enjoyment of fiction and my appreciation of good story telling. Thank you all, for everything. It’s been an honor to share this journey with you all.

I feel you bro, I can’t believe how a moment’s notice of looking at the game a decade ago would turn out to impact my enjoyment of fiction and fps alot. I was only seven when I was forced to only pick one game for my birthday. Out of all the selection, Destiny, a game unheard of at that time caught my attention. Man… I just couldnt fathom that 10 years later i finally see to the conclusion of the light and darkness saga. Brought tears to my eyes when I saw Cayde died the second time

I came to Destiny through a Pokémon meme comp video, of all things, with The Trickster back in 2020. I yt searched it, found the Forsaken content, and I spiraled down into getting obcessed with wanting to play the game despite my conditions. Cayde-6 especially impacted me a lot, so much so I modeled my sona after him. I felt a lot of fomo about it until 2022, where my sister got me a ps3. I played all through the Destiny 1 main campaign as a Hunter and started with a Warlock a while after, but dropped a few months in. After that, I jailbroke my ps3 and got to experience so many other games that Destiny kinda fell out of it. Until recently where I tried to play it again, but the console lost internet access, so I can't play it anymore. I wish I could have been there from the beginning and experienced everything, because if the little I saw of the game managed to get me obcessed to a point of modeling my sona after one of the main cast, the rest would have absolutely cemented it all in me. But alas, we're at the tailend where I missed everything thus far, only keeping up through cutscenes, MyNameIsByf's lore videos and your content up until I fell off. Regardless, I'm still glad I came to know this game extists, even if it was too little too late for me to join in, and I'm happy so many people got impacted by it as well. Cherish those memories, mate, cuz I know I'd give anything to have something even close to that. And thank you as well, for keeping me up to date when I was out of the loop, and for posting the cutscenes for me to watch. And finally, I respect a fellow blue exo hunter, and admit that I always thought your Guardian looked cool, with the light horns and all. Godspeed, Guardians.

So bittersweet to hear Nathan Fillion voice Cayde one last time. Before this came out, I had a feeling Cayde wouldn't be here to stay, but the ending still hit me hard. But this time, it feels like a proper farewell. Cayde chose to sacrifice himself to save the Ghost and return to the Light, and to Sundance. And Crow now officially succeeds him as Hunter Vanguard. So long, Cayde. It's been quite the journey.

I had the game in library for years, with shadowkeep and forsaken expansions. colleagues telling me it is one of the best game ever made, but me never played it because FPS is not really my cup of tea ... but eventually i gave it a try, after beyond light released. the game blew my mind and almost killed me. I played like absolute madman for like 6 months, unable to sleep because i was thinking about the game all the time. for majority of almost 3000 hours i spent in game (solo or with friends) i was sure this is the best game i ever played (and that is something, i play games for 40+ years). however, in the middle of lightfall, many factors changed my opinion about the game and the status changed, from best game i ever played/always installed, to deleted from library in may 2023, doubting i will ever play the game again. and yet here i am, watching the videos, crying and goosebumping again, remembering all those incredible moments i will never forget, desperately wanting to close the saga... either i buy the expansion, or blacklist D2 from youtube :)

Man what a performance from Brett Dalton, the witness when they are mad sounds so terrifying

I know! He did such a phenomenal job. I’ll be making a video covering The Witness’s entire story in Final Shape soon. Stay tuned for that, it’ll definitely be a video worth watching. I’m excited to make it!

Goodbye Cayde-6! We are all going to miss you! At least we still have his chicken, “Colonel” to look after.

Play Destiny when I was 10 years old I remember getting scared of the hive when my first encountered them and now seeing every single one of those races come together to fight the witness as the final stand is really a true destiny Moment In A fitting way to end a franchise it was a hell of a journey to us to my fellow Guardians thank you for helping in the war

Our character barely ever talks and then gives this heartbreaking scene

I thought TFS would be the end of my journey, not because i was mad at Bungie or anything, but because it felt right. Not anymore, now I look towards the future with anticipation. It starts with a single step.

here you are, at worlds end. the witness is dead, yet new forces threaten humanity. delve into the heart of Nessus, fight back the vex, and retrieve the echo. defend our home, one more time. eyes up, guardian.

Well that marks the end of the light and dark saga, it had its ups and downs but in the end most of us came back to finish the fight It was a fun decade and here’s to another one

I like the implication that when killing the Witness it transitions from "we" to "I" to signify the many consciousnesses it was built up upon were fading away in that single moment and all that was left was one (of many) singular consciousness left. In it's final moments, the Witness was alone.

Its a shame i never got a chance to see this through to the end but destiny 1 was major hoot. Its amazong to see this incredible pair of games come to such a thrilling conclusion
