I think it depends on how big the city you live in is. What you have to do is look at the suggested friends and/or followers of your friends. Chances are that these accounts are somewhat near to you. What the guy above me is talking about is true, doesn't mean normal people can't use it for that though.

I'm much more introverted and barely leave my house anymore due to working from home, and yet I still shower. I just canNOT sleep very well without feeling clean. And I'm also not much of spender and don't need a lot of space, so my house is kinda empty. If I had a girlfriend, she'd probably be the one making it more full xD But I think that's the woman's natural tendency whereas men can live on fewer things, that's why "provider" is normally associated with a woman in the picture, otherwise why does he need to provide much else?

@@theemilyandtoddpodcast haha that's fine I quite liked the pod In case what you meant by misspoke referred more to just saying something grammatically "wrong": "videogaming yourself" usually refers to taking ones own life, stemming from people first making joke threats (like "I'm gonna blow up your house if we lose") and eventually censoring it in fear of bans by adding "in Minecraft", "in Overwatch", and eventually just "in a videogame". Then verbing it to mean most any serious violence, to eventually just be used like "I hate this so much in going to videogame myself" Thus my joking concern, because it got dark in a very not serious way and I know you didn't mean it like that

Destiny has hood points? alex grace (other podcasr guests) is a credible source of information to me. Hes been doing this a while with a wealth of scientific papers to back it up. Him i think has some under grad in psychology and his buddy matt is in a graduate program looking to go into clinical practice Destiny may have valid points, Emily maybe too. But they are anecdotal opinions. Especially destiny .. i don’t know. He has been everywhere or and had all sorts on his stream.. he is a professional streamer, intake every he says with salt. Its good to have Todd around with his clinical background to keep things factual

@@Pssst.ByTheWay when it comes to something as nuanced as nu world relationships and the way the internet has affected them you cant just autistically look at stats and come to a conclusion of "this is this, because this study said so" in my opinion anecdotal evidence from somebody who has engaged in these relationships for decades and actively seeks them out weighs a lot more than these undeveloped psychology studies

@@owo3632 i think your reply was supressed. If I go to the OPI, don’t see your comment listed underneath, but I see it in my notifications and I can click it. Interpreting statistics is an art form innovative, and often you can interpret them to fit a narrative But that said if you are an honest actor, then the anecdotal evidence should be accounted for in the general result of the statistical analysis. That said statistics is just an estimation and gives a probability And as we know with probabilities, what’s the probability of a coin, toss 50-50. But it is entirely possible to throw a coin in the air, 1 million times and get the same face pointing up. That doesn’t make the statistic of 50-50 wrong, nor would it make the anecdotal evidence that coins always land on the same face anymore, right? But that is the reality of a statistic viewed through the lens of an individual data point. 🤷‍♀️
@owo3632
@owo3632 Жыл бұрын
@@Pssst.ByTheWay yea i agree with most of that, one point i would like to make with ur coin analogy is that if ur factor is just a coin and flipping it, its very easy to interpret compared to human behavior at this level i just think too many fall into the trap of looking at a statistic (such as the tinder matches this one gets thrown around a lot) and getting trapped in the black hole of redpill rhetoric rather than taking it at face value and realizing its part of something much bigger, i believe this is what todd and pillers do to an extreme degree and it immensely harms their world view and anyone who is susceptible to these ideas also not sure whats happening to the comments

Isn’t only fans just indie porn ?? What’s their big deal..
@orenmontgomery8250
@orenmontgomery8250 Жыл бұрын
I think the big deal is that having the porn industry easily accessible and somewhat secretly available to the circle of friends/family of every 18 year old has large implications for society and gender relations. If, as in the old days, you need to run away from home and seek out some weirdo in LA to start doing porn that barrier to entry keeps the industry niche and in check. Now, hundreds or thousands of people in your home town/city are showing their privates to anyone with $10 including your friends, niece, neighbor, etc.
@connorlucas5035
@connorlucas5035 Жыл бұрын
@@orenmontgomery8250 is that such a bad thing if these people want to do it ?? Just for the record you know we all have body parts, it’s not some secret. Society making it taboo is why it’s taboo. Clearly society is changing to be more accepting with the wide spread use of only fans. Would it really be such a bad world if we didn’t stigmatize people who want to show them selves off?
@orenmontgomery8250
@orenmontgomery8250 Жыл бұрын
@connorlucas5035 Changing stigma happens much more slowly. There's a HUGE contingent of people (men and women, but men tend to make bigger deals of it) who highly value exclusivity and purity. To these people, it is more special and more magical that they've been given something unique. People commonly bring up the evolutionary psychology argument about millions of years of evolution tailoring our emotions to want this (for survival/paternity certainty) and for simple supply and demand reasons (again, if everyone has seen her, or watched her have sex, then it's less valuable than if very few have). There's also just the strangeness of having your neighbor (who is your age) watching your daughter put things inside herself. It makes all of those relationships awkward. You might say, "But wouldn't it be nice if everyone was just fine with it?" But honestly, even if that's true (which is hugely debatable), it doesn't matter because the hardware isn't wired that way for the vast majority of people. It's why most people still want an exclusive relationship and treat cheating as a hard deal breaker. Also, a lot of people make decisions they regret HUGELY when they're young. There are mountains of stories of women with regret. Women who decided to capitalize on their sexual value in their youth to become a prostitute (or prostitute lite) overwhelmingly regret it once that value has gone along with the revenue stream and they are left without their beauty, the money, and now their reputation and pool of willing romanric partners. The thinking is, if he doesn't care that you have sex with other people, he probably doesn't really care much about you. The use of Only Fans is by no means acceptance of the creators there. Brothels were very popular throughout history, too. It doesn't mean the women were valued as love interests. "Society treats it like a taboo, that's why it's a taboo" is basically a meaningless statement. The same could be said for any other taboo and the reasons still remain (cannibalism, incest, etc). Also, there's a big difference between not stigmatizing someone for stripping and wanting to be in a relationship with a stripper or wanting that for your neice.

@@ulizez89 Bro, I get around that many matches and I'm not any more attractive than Destiny. I'm just in my mid-30s, have a really, really good career, a sense of humor, and good finances. As Destiny says, women tend to value maturity/security more than anything in a man. Dating market studies show that the men who get the most attention on dating apps are in their 40s and that women consider the ideal age of a man to be late 30s/early 40s. You can honestly not be the most physically attractive guy, but if you can show that you have a career, can handle money, and have some success to your name, you will have women interested in you.

Todd is missing one important thing when talking about the type of women who are more likely to strip nowadays. A lot of the better looking strippers have started to become bartenders and bottle girls over the last six or seven years. So it isn’t that more attractive women stopped stripping because they’re having so much success on OF. There are just more avenues for women to monetise their looks nowadays, OF being one of them. Bottle girls and Startenders became popular way before OF became mainstream. OF only became mainstream during the pandemic.
