@@steveg1725 I think the point of the defence is for someone so mentally ill they do not even understand what they are doing is wrong. Like, they wouldn’t plan it or hide the evidence and would be in a psychotic state etc. Not just that someone is technically mentally ill but committed a crime. I think legal insanity would make sense if someone was very psychotic and truly having such strong delusions they had zero idea what was even happening in reality, and it wouldn’t make sense or really be fair for them to be prosecuted. Whereas a serial killer understands they are doing something wrong and is present and aware.

@@galaxychar Yeah. I just watched a mini docu about a woman who kept killing elderly people with insulin because inner voices told her to. Despite being diagnosed with some mental disabilities, they found she was able to recognise her actions as wrong (maybe aided by the fact she felt the need to report her actions to many different kinds of authorities, none of which told this to the police). And thus, she was judged like any other person to multiple life sentences.

@@Nightknight1992 i mean how do u think that, humans since the beginning have killed each other, wether for food survival or personal gains, death in old times were normal and we were wired to see death as not something that bad as it was inevitable and people had short lives, people were also hypocrites just like right now where they didnt allow murder of their "own people" but would enslave and murder others, just like how people hate murderers now, when in reality people are dying all over the world from things such as hunger etc, and dying over their country, but people choose not to see it unless its shown to them being hypocrites, when for example they have the opportunity to save people dying from hunger with a few dollars but not choosing to do so, cause "it doesnt affect them" when in reality no murder does unless it directly affects them

Actually I work at a psych ER, there are all kinds of schizophrenics. It can be really difficult to tell sometimes, but they'd likely be hesitant to admit to these voices that quickly if a bunch of cops show up, they're usally very paranoid (espcially if they're young and new to these symptoms). I've seen 19 year olds with schizophrenia, it's not as unusual as you'd think, sadly (it happens in those even younger sometimes as well). I've heard patients talk about demons and angels alot as well. It's also common to think authoritative figures are out to kill them. They often will appear very detached, but obviously this guy gave that away looking into the camera lol.

When I was in the psych ward, I was certain everyone was an actor, and they were all trying to catch me slipping up. I kept my head in my lad because I was afraid to look at anybody. I didn’t even change my clothes almost the whole time. Honestly I was half right, that place was a terrible terrible place with a poor reputation. They somehow got me to take lithium (something I’d never normally agree to) and had me taking benzos. I was kept there for 9 days. The moment I got home, my anxiety stopped, and I returned to normal a few days later.

Its good to know that Destiny knows absolutely everything about everything, is there a video online where he reacts and he actually learns something ? I've watched about 100 videos with him in and I've never seen him acknowledge not knowing something or learning something from someone... Its incredibly frustrating... How do you get so "smart" when you never learn anything ?

he said before that if didn't know something of find something interesting he would just read the wikipedia and if you have read wikis you would know that 1 page of wiki takes you to at least 5 other pages .... and so eventually you get more noticeably knowledgeable.

He has just read a crap ton, had access to academics & professionals, and has built his life around that since his late Starcraft 2 days. Most videos go over surface-level stuff. The type of content people react to on KZbin is either kyrgzat (however it is spelled) or some 101 college level topic with language meant for high school kids. In this case Destiny has done debate prep for criminal justice debates regarding: Racism in the criminal justice system, recommended alterations to the system & global counterparts, the protocol officers were supposed to follow for whatever high-profile killing of the month happened, and he especially has come to understand psychology amazingly well for a layman.

Not sure how common it is, but someone close to me basically did flip a switch and had a massive psychotic breakdown. Over about a 3 day period he went from perfectly sane, capable of holding down a job, with no sign of psychosis, to having many, many delusions, to the extent he was no longer able to take care of himself, and was a legitimate danger to himself and others

The Toy-Box Killer’s audio tapes are pretty disturbing too. There’s actual audio available to the public for that. I used to seek out these kinds of disturbing things as a kid because it made me feel tough to brag about watching. Kinda sad looking back at that me. I still have a morbid curiosity at times, but I’ve seen too many disturbing things on the internet at this point that I don’t want to see any more.
