The iron lords sacrificed themselves to contain the SIVA (said on stream) and Saladin didn't so that if SIVA ever got out he would be there to help guardians and train them. So I think the final boss could be SIVA itself, maybe having a puzzle part implemented to control it (kind of like in Echo Chamber where you have to take the orb to the other thing and then his shield goes down) It could be that our role as guardians could be to just control the SIVA because maybe it can't be destroyed completely.

I've tried LFG however I don't return home (I live at school) until late after destiny expansions so no one wants to play with an inexperienced player. I wish they had some way or making matchmaking in the game. Even if they ranked you by how well you do in raids or made an option setting where only people with headsets are allowed, that'd help out me and those who don't have friends on destiny
