You know, Peter Dinklage's monotone and basic tone was *aKsHuAlLy* intentional at the time.. I enjoyed Dinklage a lot more than Nolan North tbh but there were a few lines from Dinklebot that were a little too bland I will agree. But 90% of his lines truly did fit the tone and settings of the missions and gameplay. His moon line was truly celebrated and memed by the community in a way that has not been topped by any other Destiny 1 or 2 voice lines.

The old ending is better lore wise but not story wise. Lore wise because the Dark is memory (our memory of Ghost) and the Light gives form. Actually makes way more sense than only the Light bringing him back. Especially as we spend the whole campaign making things from memory (Dark) and Light. It’d just mean Cayde would have to die some other way.

I want a refund of n D2 I paid for content taken away that’s ridiculous. I paid for the entire game. I didn’t buy a game to get content vaulted and loose access to content I paid for and want to keep enjoying. Especially when new dlcs cost so much just to not enjoy the raids I want.

I feel like a mix of the two could have worked. The guardian channeling the darkness and cayde the light. Afterall. Without our ghost we can’t use the light. So how we are using it here doesn’t make a lot of sense. It is possible this is just a section of a longer cut scene tho. Maybe cayde does sacrifice himself before this. That’s why we can use our light in this scene

Oh man, what I would give to be able to relive the D1 days... From Alpha to Beta to Release to Dark Below to The House of Wolves to The Taken king up to Rise of Iron were magical days in my life. I miss the old Dinklebot, I was happy they changed the light system, I miss my Fatebringer, Trials of Osiris with the one and only Exotic Calling Card. I miss D1 so much...

Unpopular opinion: I prefer dinklebot and find a lot of the issues people ever talk about could've been down to direction.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but if you are in the opening quest in the plague lands and are taking down the first set of shield generators, if you go back to the opposite wall and look up you will see a glowing blue light which is a dead ghost that you can collect.

I played it on PS5 and this is absolutely no hoax. If you swim down to the sunken submarine wreckage you will see the briefcase flashing. Collect it and swim up to the top and pin point that area. Run back up to the highway and steal a car and he'd for your safehouse and save it. Then head back up to your pin point and swim back down and it will re spawn over and over. This does work! Because this is the way that I play this game.
