Matthew may have been the one to downsize the group, but there was a group before there was ever a Matthew managing. Other people were involved, and working hard to put these girls on. If any body "put them together" it was Andretta Tillman (who passed away); and according to one of her old business partners (who's still living), they were the ones who got the girls their initial deal (with Atlanta). I do think it was Matthew who got them the deal that stuck (with Columbia); but they had been "put together" long before that happened.

Tykel Williams, I listened closely to Jumpin Jumpin and I have been listening to Destiny's Child for a while. It just Beyonce on the regular version. Several people on the KZbin acapella version have confirmed that it is her, and Beyonce is a mezzo-soprano, she could [and still can] sing high and very low. I don't about the remix, but the regular version is her by herself. She is hitting the high and low notes, and harmonizing with herself. This is no surprise because Beyonce [and Kelly] would often sing background and their parts. Matthew Knowles (former manager, Beyonce's dad) said in an interview that basically the lineup of the group wouldn't really matter as long as Beyonce and Kelly were doing most of the singing, which I think was a little inconsiderate of the other members, but I guess that it's just business, nothing personal. Also, if you need evidence, then look up the acapella version of Jumpin Jumpin and search for the interview Matthew gave about the lineup of the group. 😊
