Heres a little known fact, Destiny’s Child were hanging out at the back of a venue in LA waiting for their limo back in 1985. They performed this song for the first time in order to attract a record label to hopefully sign them. Beyonce, disillusioned with their performance that night, stumbled whilst changing her shoes and fell into a wall only to disappear in front of her two band mates. When they touched the wall where she fell the wall was solid, but cold as ice. Beyonce awoke to find the sun now shining on her face in the very same car park, only the year was now 2002. Beyonce spent the year tracking down her remaining family, finding two new band mates and reinventing her act. She released this song with a new sound in 2003 and it placed in the top 100 hits of that year for the United States. It also helped establish her name to go on to become who she is today. How do I know? Well, I’m the guy who left the portal open after seeing her concert back in 85 🤦‍♂️ I always forget to bloody close’em. This is one time travel mistake I can’t fix now for sure. Jay Z would kill me!
