I don't hate Beyonce. But I think she was being dishonest in those interviews. Stevie Wonder could look at the group and tell that DC was set up as a resume builder for Beyonce's solo career. That was always the goal from Day 1 and for her to pretend like she didn't know what her father was up to just doesn't sit well with me. Even as kids watching music videos and interviews, we were able to see with clarity that certain DC group members had more privileges than others. I'm not saying that everything that Latoya and Latavia said was 100% true, but any person with common sense can see that there was no equality amongst the group members. I felt like Beyonce knew she was being treated with favoritism, but at the time she was probably so hurt and immature where she couldn't own up to it. You could tell she was spiteful after they claimed she was responsible so she started being shady by knocking their work ethic and personality - it was to save face. Was she wrong? Of course, I hope she's actually apologized and compensated them for what they were cheated out of because she sat back and let this happen when she had the privilege to stand up for them instead of gaslighting. But all these were choices Matthew made, so he gets karma and judgement more than anyone else can. Beyonce can do her part to mend the broken relationship, and Matthew can starve.
