None of these people understand how peer review happens. I am a scientist, and i have been a peer reviewer before. I was literally randomly emailed to peer review multiple articles because i have multiple published papers in different journals. At the time i wasn't employed as a scientist for any "institution" i was working as a veterinary nurse. I was not influenced by some establishment body. Literally just a freelance scientist with no outside donors/finacial influences. Non of these mfers have even read a study intro to conclusion the whole way through. Its so annoying hearing these mouth breathers pretend like any of their opinions are based on peer reviewed science when all they do is read the abstract and act like they have read a study.

I remember destiny said there are 2 types of debaters. The autistic ones who base their points on stats and studies (he considers himself to be that type of a debater). And the ones who push a narrative. They don't even have to be statistically right. They just have to have the right demeanour and sound convincing (something like tate) and people would believe them. Pixie is debater 1 and the rest are debater 2 in this case. She "lost" by default cause they don't care about stats. She should have adapted and used their debating logic against them. In the US I don't believe there is a strict dichotomy of who can cook/clean better anymore. I think guys tend to be less concerned about if there is a mess. But also have a higher tendency to own almost nothing. Which also makes it easier for them to "clean" aka throw away the garbage. As far as cooking goes, only people who have an interest in cooking can cook worth a damn. Any moron can make some hamburger helper / box mac and cheese / cheap ramen. And even less work to warm up some frozen meal in the microwave. I know way too many people in their 30's of which that is the extent of their cooking knowledge.

I think Destiny might be a little out of touch with the modern world in some ways. It is quite true that a lot of modern men are now more accustomed to cooking and cleaning than modern women. I'm not sure how much it's more or less, but I think it's pretty solidly towing the 50/50 line. I will say as an Australian, none of the women i've known or dated, are known at all for their housekeeping skills, all roughly my age or younger, (38). The only women I do know who have a high standard of cooking and/or cleaning are older women, from an older generation, or women from more traditional backgrounds, usually imports.

As a habitue of the great land of the bonger, being a chap of a certain age, knowing other similar chaps and, indeed, lady chaps I reckon a good proportion of said chaps (maybe 80%) know their way around a kitchen. We know how to roast, bake (pies/cakes), fry, make risotto, put together a few sauces (bechamel, roux, gravy, obvs) and such like. Lady chaps, generally the same in my experience although more likely to do stuff like separate an egg yolk from the white, something I've yet to try. I guess we had Jamie Oliver and few other 'cool' or engaging tv chefs in our, how to say, formative years who made it accessible and fun; plus, it's a pretty good way of endearing one to one's significant other (or others) I would suggest.

Just started the video, but as far as the "women cook and clean better than men", I think for women below 40 they definitely keep more clean than men, but I know way more young men that can cook nowadays than women. Even men who have a wife who cooks still know how to grill, and I actually think a wife who cooks even just in the kitchen is much less common than it used to be. Since women started getting jobs, I think the "chore split" has been more: men cook/women clean, rather than men work/women cook and clean.

Yeah, if you are a single man out of your moms basement for more than a year, you dont have much choice but to learn basic "home skills" by virtue of needing them to continue being a functional memeber of society. I can attest that a lot of African men (especially those who went to boarding school) can clean, however I know that certainly in southern african culture, the women are given more responsibility as far as cleaning. Anecdotally I would also say that women have a lower tolerance than men for disorder. We also know that professionally, women are more likely to be cleaners and maids although for some reason this is not true for janitors specifically.
