I just think using the gun is cowardly. It used to be you stood for your shit with your fists like a man, but nowadays the first sign of confrontation and the kids run home to get a gun. Midget with a bag isn't life threatening and its not like 4doorsmorewhores was randomly jumped walking home from church.. He traveled to provoke, broke laws to do it, and was recorded fantasizing about shooting rioters with his AR 2wks prior to shooting rioters with his AR

You should have asked him why they took no issue with all the rioters with firearms flagging random people, threatening random people and discharging their firearms recklessly. They never bothered to disarm Joshua Zaminsky or the idiot who kept racking his pistol flagging everyone at the gas station. Yet we are suppose to believe that these people all of a sudden turned “righteous” and took issue with 1 guy who wasn’t even the first or last to fire and who was running away? That is beyond absurd.

Anthony Hubers girlfriend said in an interview 6 hours ago that he was just trying to stop an active shooter. But we've all seen the video footage & we all know they knew he was no active shooter, he was literally DESPERATELY trying to run towards the police to turn himself in & be under their protection. That's not what an "active shooter" does, he was not shooting anybody random at all. Anthony hubers friend here seems very reasonable & he seems like the only one piercing their echo chambers with some reason. Yes there is the heat of the moment but it does not make it right. I think it was an excuse to attack someone who they were at odds with all night & I with tensions of his friends yelling to do something about them (who they considered to be "the bugaloo boys" didnt help. Theyd score some street cred for doing it too He said he was running to the police. They SEE him running to the police? Why not run with him & get him arrested in their minds? It doesn't really matter because there was a video of Kyle taken at the exact moment that AI manipulated picture was taken by the drone and it clearly shows that Kyle WAS NOT pointing a gun at anyone. Not only that but in the states AI manipulated video still - the image portrays Kyle as "pointing" the AR-15 with his left arm, when the whole night he had his gun slung on his right side, because he's right-handed.... So that drone video still image was garbage from the get-go, it should have never been allowed as evidence, not only because it was an AI digitally manipulated image (essentially hearsay via artificial intelligence) but because that exact image/JPEG wasn't produced in discovery.... Look, had that trial not ended in an acquittal - it would have ended in a mistrial after the verdict. I mean there were several points in that trial that the judge could have called a mistrial with prejudice or simple mistrial... Also, I live in the Antioch/Kenosha area, and I was in Kenosha on the first night of riots and it was absolute anarchy, just utter chaos. I went to Kenosha just to see what was going on out of curiosity - I mean I saw a few live streams on youtube and facebook and it looked pretty wild, so I decided to have a look for myself and boy......Peaceful protest my ass - there were fires everywhere, people were looting, people were destroying property, there were rocks flying everywhere - there was NOT ONE "peaceful protester" to be seen, anywhere - it was pure chaos, pure evil - just absolute madness...... And I would say a good 30% of those involved - be it just observing or participating in the riots were open-carrying. I mean I had my pistol concealed and I'm sure I wasn't the only one... So look, I've had it with those whom try to portray riots - like what went down in Kenosha - as "peaceful".. I watched a grown man with tears running down his face with an absolute look of despair as he watched his store get destroyed, and there was nothing anyone could do, as a matter of fact quite a few thought it was funny as this poor guy's livelihood and life's work was totally destroyed in one moment, "but it's only property" right?? NO, it's NOT only property - it's peoples lives, it's their hard work, it's their pride - it's how they pay the bills, it's how they put food on their table and feed their family..... And what did this guy do to anyone? what did he do to deserve that? and these BLM "woke" clowns thought it was funny.. Man the sight of that poor man breaks my heart, even a year+ later -- yet the media portrays these rioting scumbag criminal degenerates as "heroes" and their riots as "peaceful protests"....

These weren't millionaires businesses or government facilities. It was working class and on the poorer part of town. These people had to put signs on their doors...children live here. There's no rationale or empathy. So if communities don't get exempt from BLM why should anyone care about their cause and why not take up arms run them out of town by force. These people came by bus from far out just to destroy. If there was any sense left in that crowd they would have sided with Kyle. It's media like CNN, TYT, MSNBC and ABC that are responsible. The whole “he used FMJ bullets” is a dumb argument, because when you say this, you obviously don’t know anything about 5.56/.223. 5.56 FMJ bullets act a lot like hollow points in that they will yaw and fragment in the body, and are not likely to penetrate past a soft body. In fact, you can see that the round shot into Huber never penetrated his body, which pretty much disproved this “FMJ is evil” point.
@marzmarch
@marzmarch 2 жыл бұрын
The round fired at Huber was weak/underpowered. That can be heard in the video. And reinforced with the need to use the forward assist afterward. Otherwise a skinny body like Huber’s isn’t much of an obstacle for the caliber. Could have been bad reloads or gun show ammo.
@mrspeigle1

Let's be honest here the FMJ argument is grasping at straws On the part of the prosecution, If they had been hollow pointsThey would have argued that they were picked so they would be better at killing if they'd been frangibles they would have argued that they were picked so he could hide evidence et cetera. Especially when you consider how 5.56/.223 performs out of a 16" barrel at point blank range. FMJ will reliably fragment in a body at that range and will not overpenetrate. If you have followed the trial 2 of the 4 rounds that were fired at Rosenbaum didnt exit his body, and the Huber shot didnt exit his body. Rifle rounds =/= pistol rounds and hollow point vs FMJ in terms of a .223/5.56 round at point blank range is fairly irrelevant.

I agree the prosecution was flailing wildly and hoping something would stick. This "hunter" and "gun owner" saying Kyle doesn't know anything about guns is hilarious. Full Metal Jacket is not a piercing ammunition. It is standard cheapest ammo you can get. It is range ammo. "Self Defense Ammo" is not designed to stop in your target. It is designed to expand inside the target for a more deadly wound. It is literally designed to kill. Hollow points or soft tips fired out of a rifle will almost always go through a human target. Open cup hollow points also have a tendency to clog with fabric from clothing. Full metal jacket are absolutely self defense rounds if used in self defense. FMJ is not Light Armor Piercing (LAP). Military Codes M-193(Full metal Jacket) this is the militarys main ammunition. Rittenhouse used the nearly identical 223 cartridge and exactly identical bullet. If you ask for 556/223 at a gun store, this is what you are getting. M-855(Light Armor Piercing)- Designed with a green steel tip. You can still find this at most gun stores. Even though this "piercing" ammo the military has found it to be highly effective against human targets as the bullet tends to tumble after making contact and transfers more energy on target and it is more accurate at distance. This is basically a FMJ with a steel tip. M955-( Armor Piercing)-This is absolutely a piercing round that will do go straight through every soft target. FMJ and LAP rounds are lead core. Lead is soft. M995 bullets have a tungsten core instead of lead. This is designed to go thru hard targets and will absolutely go though many soft targets. Hollow Point ammo is literally banned under the Geneva conventions......... And this gun expert wants to send a kid to prison for defending himself with the exact same ammo the military uses under the Geneva convention......... All ammunition designed to expand is banned. FMJ is range ammunition. FMJ is self defense ammunition. FMJ is military ammunition. FMJ is hunting ammunition. FMJ is 90% of the ammo at any gun store. If you are triggered that I said FMJ is hunting ammunition........ You are just a bad shot. Some people don't need expanding ammunition to bring down a deer by blowing a hole into it's rear quarter and dig copper and lead out of perfectly good meat. A shot straight thru the heart or lungs will bring a deer down quicker and I don't have to worry about swallowing a piece of that "hunting ammo" that broke apart into chunks of copper and smashed lead.

A rape case never has the possibility of a self defense justification. Ever. A rapist, caught on video raping someone, is not able to get away with it by saying, "But it was self defense!" No, dude. A rape case is ENTIRELY different. Not comparable at all. If the defense is making the case that a murder was committed out of self defense, then yes, the term "victim" is in dispute. The entire trial is to determine if the one who was shot was a victim or an aggressor.

Yeah, that's what the word "alleged" is for genius. Eliminating the ability to use the word victim is just as prejudicial as mandating it. Furthermore, even if you _are_ the aggressor and the shooting _is_ justified, you are still the "victim" of a shooting because the bullets ended up inside you. That's how English works. For example "Stan violently grabbed her attempting to forcibly have his way with her, unwittingly falling victim to her deadly martial arts." "Victim" does not automatically ascribe moral or legal culpability. It simply describes a factual condition of injured vs injuring party. If the judge was genuinely concerned about prejudice he should have either instructed counsel to use the term "alleged", instructed the jury not to take the word "victim" as ascribing legal or moral culpability, or just shut his mouth like every other judge would do because they know this argument is nonsense. Sure, we can literally refer to the victims as "criminals" (rioters/looters) without them even having a trial but we must not even suggest the possibility they might be alleged victims despite the fact that they are literally definitionally shooting victims. Imbecile.
@Lady_de_Lis
@Lady_de_Lis 2 жыл бұрын
@@yessum15 First of all, it is very common to disallow the use of the word victim in criminal trials. It's been done long before this trial ever came along. No one ever cared until now because people have let their politics cloud their thinking. No other reason. Using the term victim basically admits that a crime has been committed from the get go. And most trials are for the purpose of a jury determining whether a crime was or was not committed. So the use of that term defeats the purpose of the trial. Secondly, the use of the words "looter" and "rioter" etc was only allowed if the defense could back it up with significant evidence. They couldn't just use those terms without substantiating them. Furthermore, unlike Kyle Rittenhouse, the people being accused of being looters or rioters etc were not on trial. That jury had no say at all in those people's guilt or innocence under the law. So they were not at any risk being put in prison or facing any other legal punishment just because of the type of language the lawyers use. Therefore, calling them "looters" or "rioters" etc does not have any real effect except to provide context in Kyle's case. That's it. If any of those people ever are put on trial for their crimes, then their own jury likely would not be hearing any words like "looter" or "rioter" or "arsonist" etc. For the reason that those labels would be exclusively for the jury to decide at the end of the trial, not the lawyers or the judge. And any victims of the riots/lootings/arson/etc would likely not be called victims during the trial either for the same reason.

@@fartface5172 He was describing a hypothetical situation where a woman's rape had been captured on video, and he wondered if the judge would disallow the word victim in that case, too. @@Lady_de_Lis Has it been done before? Yes. Is it common? No. There has been virtually unanimous agreement that this is a pretty rare policy, and Judge Shroeder himself has openly admitted that his stance is uncommon. Stop lying. Calling them criminals absolutely has an effect if the defendant's entire defense is claiming self defense against said "criminals." Stop being silly. "If the defense can prove it" is a meaningless statement if there is no criminal trial, no opportunity for the evidence to be challenged, and no defense afforded to the excused. You haven't "proved" anything. Yet you are fine labeling them with a term that objectively, unambiguously classifies these individuals as criminals. This influences the the jury and the course of the trial infinitely more than the comparatively benign use of the *legally neutral* term victim or alleged victims. Victim is a legally neutral term. Rioter and looter is not. Yet you're willing to accept one term without conclusive proof without the accepting the other. Despite knowing that calling the victims criminals is more likely to sway the jury than calling them "alleged victims". Stop trying to launder your own biases through the thin veneer of rational analysis while hypocritically accusing others of doing the same.

The pointing the gun sarcastic admission was about "yellow pants man" the problem with the prosecution narrative on that is they made the claim that he pointed the gun at yellow pants man which was provocation, but they offered no proof that A) he actually pointed the gun at him and B) the statement wasn't a sarcastic remark. They could have easily found yellow pants man and got him to testify that Kyle aimed his gun on him but they didn't. So the value of the statement, sarcastic or otherwise, and question of if he did point the gun, was circumstantial at best. The prosecution has burden of proving beyond a reasonable doubt that Kyle did not shot all three men in self defense. No one who actually watched the trial or even all the videos can say this wasn't self defense. The people who think it's murder haven't seen the trial and are motivated by ideology and bias. The notion that he could have kept running away from Rausenbalm between the cars is wrong. There was a large group of people with weapons smashing cars directly behind where he had to shoot Rausenbalm. The fact of the matter is, Rausenbalm caused all of this. And it's his fault the other acted. Hollow point bullets cause far more damage to a body than full metals do. Hollow points expand and essentially liquefy everything in their path. The idea that he chose his bullets with the intent to use them knowing that when he shoots someone he would be able to get multiple people when a bullet goes through someone. The ok symbol isn't racist. It was a meme on the internet meant to make the media look ridiculous and it worked, seeing as people still think it's a racist symbol. This trial was 100% political. This was the most clear cut case of self defense but because the media when to work that night to frame it as a white supremacist killing black people. The media profits off riots, and racial tensions. And they saw this as a money maker. You're fooling yourself if you think this was anything else

the Ziminskis, Josh and Kelly provocated the entire incident. Rittenhouse just got a phone call to bring a fire extinguisher to one of the three car lots owned by the Khindiri brothers. Somehow Rosenbaum spots him and ducks behind some cars. A few seconds later Josh Ziminski confronts Rittenhouse. Rittenhouse looks behind and see Rosenbaum running at him. Rittenhouse drops the fire extinguisher and runs. Josh fires his pistol and Kelly yells to the mob "get him". At this point Rittenhouse hasn't shot anybody so there is zero reason to send the protesters after him. The prosecutor didn't want to bring the Ziminskis to testify when it would make the events of that night easy to understand.

The way ada fat kraus fought to keep the gun charge in the instructions knowing the gun wasn't short barreled and at 17 rittenhouse qualified for the exception, was a perfect example of how they didn't care that it was clearly self defense, they only cared about winning. They tried to convict the kid on something they knew he wasn't guilty of. That's the definition of malicious prosecution. They lied about knowing who jump kick man was, they sent an altered version of the drone footage to the defense, and they both lied in the closing argument and their rebuttal. This is common for DAs, they know they have to campaign to keep their jobs and getting convictions in high profile cases gets votes so they cheat. Kamala Harris was one of the worst for that.

Almost always the rioting charges are dropped, but they still arrest EVERYONE as soon as it gets declared a riot. 32:28 The type of ammo used thing is a pointless endeavor. Many times in many jurisdictions the prosecution will demonize whatever you used. If FMJ, it becomes "You didn't care about endangering people around you." If you use JHP "You chose these because you weren't trying to just stop them, you wanted to make sure it almost certainly killed them." As such many an attorney will recommend you learn what exact round is issued to your local police, because at least you can turn that shit around on them. Doesn't matter if you think Speer Gold Dot is over priced and over rated. As for either FMJ/JHP in an AR-15 (0.223 and 5.56) gelatin tests show more or less JHP vs FMJ in ballistic gel, has about the same penetration capabilities (barring m855 and 855a1) as eachother the bullet just doesn't stay stable or hold together that well. The m855 variants penetrate more but that's mostly because of the steel tip traveling further as the round tears itself apart. I know ballistic gel isn't a perfect analog for the human body but it's what we have.

This is something I've been curious about: if I was a gun owner because I thought guns were fun and I just wanted to shoot targets in someone's backyard (which if someone does so safely more power to them) I wouldn't care about the ammo, probably whatever's cheapest. Is it possible/likely that Rittenhouse or his friend picked that type of ammo for a valid reason or no reason (they just grabbed something off the shelf kind of thing), or if you buy that ammo type it's typically because you wanted that ammo for a purpose. I've only been shooting at a range 3 times and someone helped me pick everything, so I really don't know what's typical.

@Segphalt
@Segphalt 2 жыл бұрын
@@bigdaddyaen It is a near certainty they bought whatever was cheap. That's what people often do for range ammo (barring long range shooting as consistency between rounds matters more then) FMJ is basically always cheapest. The penetration capability I mentioned is very specifically for the .223 and 5.56 cartridge. In pistol calibers at lower speeds FMJ/JHP has a much more distinct delineation in penetration. As for backyard shooting, people in rural areas have been doing it for ages. You tend to need a pretty sizable back yard but if you have a spot where a large hill can be your backdrop. (Or in my case a little valley where you more or less shoot down into it) It's quite doable. (Check your local jurisdictions laws) One of the few things I miss about living in the sticks... No range fees and your distance to travel is out the back door.

Let’s remember that all of this discussion is all devoid of the knowledge, albeit in hindsight, that every single one of these guys who attacked Rittenhouse and ended up getting shot are repeat violent criminals. Also, on Kyle’s testimony about firearms, obviously he was coached to avoid implying that he was any kind of expert on firearms. Yes it’s a close call, because on one side you have the risk of opening the door for the prosecution to ask about prior statements previously not allowed into evidence and on the other side you have the risk that you look like an irresponsible user to the jury. My guess is the fact that he was a kid just trying help his city and defend himself, and the fact that he didn’t do anything illegal in terms of carrying the gun, was easily enough to go the way they did.

i just want to say that generally speaking FMJ is one of the cheapest rounds you can find, and is a commonly used ammo type of using at the range. For some reason he has this idea that somehow fmj is a more deadly round then other possible rounds, however thats just not true. their are far more powerful rounds you can get then fmj, though their may be less powerful ones as well such as using 223 or something along that lines, however the difference their is less then negligable. the way a 556 bullet works to kill people isnt based on penatrive power or on expansion (which is true for 9mm usually) per say but rather the force and velocity of its projectile which usually ruptures internal organs if you hit someone in the chest.
@Lukands
@Lukands 2 жыл бұрын
I think if I'm understanding what he was saying, it's not that fmj are more deadly but that they'd be more likely to penetrate through whatever/whoever you're shooting at and hit something behind them that you were not intending to shoot. Absolutely don't know much about the subject, though, so I'm not saying this is the case, just that's how I understood the argument.

I came here to say mostly this. Both the guest and Destiny (and the prosecution) do not understand how FMJ works, or how 5.56 caliber FMJ SPECIFICALLY works. It is not designed to penetrate, it is designed to tumble, and then due to its smaller size (relative to 7.62) FRAGMENT as a result of the yawing force on the bullet AFTER STRIKING A TARGET. It is designed to STAY INSIDE THE BODY and do the maximum amount of damage to internal organs as possible. The XM193 is standard ammunition for 5.56. It is not the best ammunition you can buy. It is cheap, though reliable, BULK ammunition. XM855 or M855, painted with a green tip, is a steel core "penetrator" round. The prosecution is talking out its ass trying to paint Rittenhouse as a premeditated murder , who brought "special killing" ammunition. The concept is as laughable as it is inflammatory.

I am tired of the constant bringing up of the judge not allowing them to be called "victims" as evidence of bias. It is very well established case law not to allow it in criminal trials because that is the point of the trial to determine if they were victims or not. It destroys the presumption of innocence, it would be like if the prosecutor could refer to the defendant as murderer the entire case, it biases the jury. Logic people use it.
