The Earth really went through unimaginable 'shocks,' from asteroid impacts to massive volcanic eruptions. Dinosaurs like T-Rex and Allosaurus weren't just symbols of strength but also proof of nature's ferocity. And let's not forget, 'Tight Man' in his snug suit, though not a dinosaur, still leaves us 'shocked!

Not to mention how things could’ve turned out very different Like a lot of our ancestors used to be the minority; imagine if they didn’t make it or never evolved in the first place

@@LethalMartialArtistYeah just like at dinosaurs. Extremely diverse and had such a long lasting reign, but then the vast majority disappeared practically overnight Imagine if something like that happened to mammals at some point. Sure they seem unstoppable but so did dinos and so many other wildly successful lineages!

We could definitely breathe 35% oxygen.
@vickanid1862
@vickanid1862 12 сағат бұрын
Indeed. A much bigger hazard is the flammability of a 35% O2 atmosphere. A lightening strike would be devastating! Oddly, the climate change caused by the lightening strikes etc. would bring the level down to "normal" of 21%. Go climate change! Of course, the huge arthropods etc. wouldn't like it.....

All things are poisonous when you have too much of it, water will kill you if you drink too much and oxygen will kill you if you breathe too much of it. You can survive in a high oxygen environment for a while and how long depends not only on the oxygen level but also on the barometric pressure (the pressure determines how much of the oxygen can be absorbed by the lungs). At sea level with 35% O2 you will likely last about 24hours before you start showing the signs of dying, but at high altitude it is possible for a human to survive indefinitely at 35% O2

In a hospital setting, an oxygen mask at 35% is on the lower side. However, there are too many patient situations to discuss here. 35% is about 3.5 lpm. My mother is on 3 lpm at home.

They may have found insect fossils in Antarctica because it was lush and forested before it froze up millions of years ago. That is why there are actual coal deposits from that era in Antarctica today.

Right at the beginning, one fact wrong, it was a CO2 RICH ENVIRONMENT, AND THE CO2gave the invertebrates and ferns and bushes their big size, and then progressively the ambient air, and then the environment and living beings changes over millennia

The first animals lived under water because there was no oxygen. The land was completely barron. Not even dirt just rock. Creatures called stromatalites then evolved. They derived energy through photosynthesis so after a very long time they created the oxygen needed for animals to survive on land. Once the atmosphere was OK animals started to move onto shore. Evolution went wild and all these guys showed up...basically.
@harrietharlow9929
@harrietharlow9929 18 сағат бұрын
@@1AvrgJoe Well cooksonia was around during the Silurian--not sure how they worked because they didn't use photosynthesis. They weren't the first, though, Those were likely mosses. But until the Devonian all animals were indeed confined to water as were many plants, During the Cambrian I doubt anything in the way of plants had evolved to live on land.
