I remember the original release, I felt that the graphics were somehow a downgrade form the first game at the time. The humour is certainly aimed at a younger audience, but I'll still never forget the Japanese radio guy declaring "super happy fun defence!" when your wanted level went down.

It’s sad but also relieving that at this day in age of gaming I’m excited by any release that’s just a simple, chaotic, dumb fun video game. No bullshit attached, you see the price tag and description and are happily paying a fixed amount for some goofy fun.

Spoilers: He'd be talking about how Crypto clones Natalya but overwrites her personality to be his sex slave. Even as a kid I hated that ending and the implications of how he essentially erased her free will to serve as his cum dump.

My friend and I have been losing our minds over this remake because of how well it's done and there's absolutely no tethering this time around. I legitimately had to put the controller down once we split up and watched the map expand due to our distance from one another. I'm biased af cause I played both the original games, but this remake is stellar.

I recall playing the first one on xbox, but frankly I find the most noteworthy part about the games is that they were sarcastically conceived by the guy who would decide, instead of working on the game, to quit and go on to bring us the "Where is Matt" videos.
