IRL golf is a game designed for people who don't hate themselves enough in their daily lives. Lewis Black did a hilarious bit on exactly that. This game reminds me of Lewis' description

i love the idea of this game. i might get it just so i can think of my dad. he was really into golf and i think he would have got a kick out of this.

I found that idol upgrade, gold idol break, and hand reshuffle (per shot) was the best combo. Try to get those bonus shot cards and use them on the first turn with this combo and you never have to worry about running out of turns. :) Bosses can be a pain tho, especially cuz the second boss will sometimes bug and use the water to teleport her ball to the end of the map whenever she spins it

Yeah I found that really annoying, especially since it still isn’t fixed yet, and your comment was from 5 months ago. I was doing well until she just hit the water and glitched and her ball teleported

@@WereWolfNights and my checkpoint thing was glitchy too. All of the holes I played after using it didn’t update the par count, and the screen didn’t follow the ball making it near impossible to utilize spin

The game started out fun, but didn’t take long before I started hating it. It’s more like miniature golf than actual golf. At least, in the sense of all of the obstacles. However, some of the levels were insanely long. I remember one of them took me almost 40 shots to finish. The biggest downside is the fact that once you beat it, you don’t really want to go back and play it again.

I was thinking the same thing. Clearly the line is showing exactly where the ball is going to go, so it's no surprise when it misses. I'm still torn on whether or not I want to spend a little time and give it a try. Will watch at least 1 more video review.

Yeah it was hard to communicate in a clip. Essentially the timing minigame for aiming can often put you within like a quarter of a second or less of hitting a shot that doesn't hit the ceiling or hitting the ceiling and failing. And at times, if you have no good cards, it's like, the only shot you can make. So you sit there, you aim, and if you time it right, great! Or you miss and get sent back to the exact same place.

I did end up playing it yesterday and found that you can back up before both the trajectory and the power level if you hit cancel before hitting the button on the trajectory. Seeing where the trajectory could take the ball and then cancelling to try different power levels or clubs was extremely useful for me. Wanted to point that out since I haven't been hearing any of the reviews mention that. I didn't have much trouble timing the button press right where I wanted it in the trajectory, but I was playing on PC with pretty low latency and low input lag. If someone was playing on anything with higher latency or input lag I can see how that would make it a lot more frustrating.

That's not what he said. He said that you can't see hazards when you're AIMING, because they're too far away (and that's why you need free cam to see them).

Still not sure whether I want to spend a little time and give it a try. I'll watch at least 1 more video review because it seems like the type of game some people will love and others will have a rough time with. The fact that the game becomes more forgiving after you make progress and get abilities is actually a big positive for me. The fact it's a rogue like and my impression is that it will be procedurally generated instead of expertly crafted levels is a big negative though. Hmm, I might just have more fun going back to Rogue Legacy 2 if I want a rogue-like or rogue-lite since it's out of early access now.

I actually never worked out if it was procedural or not. Many levels seem to repeat themselves verbatim, but I also experienced a major bug where it failed to generate a new run at all and just gave me the same run twice, so I may be confused.

I hate this Game but i Love the Designs music and everything but the concept that the holes are in a Dungeon Labyrinth is so fk Boring you Just Hit it many times until u reached the flag.
