Thank you. My opponents around 2k rating usually stop and think on move 2 vs Nc3. This is a great option.

11:47 I reached this position with 10.c3 in a classical tournament game last weekend. Instead of taking, he found the best defence 10...d5. After spending some time, I played 11.cxd4. If he would have found 11...Bb8, he would have reached a reasonable position. Instead, I should have played 11.exd5 and after 11...exd5 simply 12.O-O and white seems to reach a nice advantage.

Allo Molton, thank you for your video, very well done. What is your line if your opponent do not play Nc6 ?
@MoltonChess

I usually play an Open Sicilian and maybe choose a simple setup such as g3 or another. Or you could transpose to another Anti Sicilian

Around min 12:45 after Black plays ...a6 then Bb3 is just crushing, the idea is to keep the Knight there, then play Be3 and sac on d6 with Bc5 pinning the Queen. Black just does not have anything to do , and if Rb7 then Na7 - the White advantage seems very large to me
@MoltonChess
@MoltonChess 2 жыл бұрын
Yep I believe you are right this Nxd6 and Bc5 idea I actually had happen once in a real game

Please provide more explanation. Why 5. Ne2 is your favorite move after 4...e6 instead of 5. Nf3?
@MoltonChess
@MoltonChess 3 жыл бұрын
It might transpose but some people might take your knight. In which case the queen on e2 is better placed since you can easily follow up with f4 plan next.

@@pranithsepuri3862 I don't think it matters too much just choose something you like and learn it well. Ruy Lopez, Italian, Scotch, Scotch Gambit, among others. It's more important you know whichever one you choose well.

Might be easiest to go back into a open Sicilian and learn a simple system like g3 or f4 to play against everything there. Otherwise could play a closed Sicilian or something else. Unfortunately we cant get in Bb5 there

What is the best way for white to respond if black chooses to protect the knight on c6 with either Qc7 or Qb6. I have encountered quite a few players who play this but none of te videos I have seen cover this move.
@MoltonChess
@MoltonChess 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Wendy, I think I cover this at the start of the video @ 3...Qb6 - 00:56 since Qc7 will be very similar and most likely transpose
