Why do you get a reshoot cause of a personal malfunction?

Yup. It’s way different over in the US. Whatever trouble you run into (mag problems, primer issues, wrong target) the clock still counts down. And you have to figure it out. The only time the RO stops the string of fire is if an animal is in the way. Otherwise your run better be on point.

Hang fires do not warrant a reshoot. If this was a PRS match in the USA it would not be allowed whatsoever. Equipment malfunctions do not grant a reshoot!!!!

Yeap, we have challenging rules that are range specific we have to work with around hang fire procedures with many requiring a mandatory 30second delay. Ruins a stage pretty quick. Rules are being updated in 2023 to try and find the best solution.

@@Slate264 In the video one of the ROs mentioned that a lot of CCI primer shooters were having issues. If the 30 second hang fire rule didn't exist, then restriking the same round or just running the action should have been the correction for the issue. But Range rules are often set by the local authorities or range governing bodies.

Were you shooting factory new or reloads?? If it was factory new were you able to contact the manufacturer for a resolution.

If you are one of the very few that can participate, let alone enjoy it or win, more power to you. Guys using firearms and calibers that I have never heard of, and I've been handling firearms for 50 years. More money tied up in a rifle, scope, bipod, and ammo than I have in my automobile. YMMV.
