Fat shaming a PREGNANT woman is the dumbest thing. Putting on some weight during pregnancy is healthy and normal. The early-mid 2000s media really had nothing better to report about.
@Incrementium Жыл бұрын
Yeah that always made zero sense, like as a guy when someone *doesn't* gain weight during a pregnancy that's when I think possible concern may be valid, but that is also something that just happens sometimes from what I understand. Like it's the kind of thing that is for the woman herself to consider and get checked out to ensure the pregnancy is progressing normally and healthily. But that's personal, the kind of stuff regular doctors check ups you should be getting during pregnancy would cover usually, and not what a normal person or magazine should be focused on. Edit: Sorry meant to say doesn't gain weight xD

I remember a popular men’s magazine had a countdown until Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen turned 18 which is also inappropriate as hell. Avril Leavine got more attention than Jessica but that was only for a brief moment in time before everybody lost interest in Avril. Also Hilary Duff vs Lindsay Lohan started in the early 2000s but I would estimate they got only maybe 15% as much attention as B vs C. JLo and Bennifer got tons of attention until they broke up and the new “it girl” became Paris Hilton. Regardless, the media was awful about all of them.

It shapes not only how they perceive the world, it lends itself to a very naive kind of thinking. It says chicken not only right on the label, it's part of the brand's name. Expecting progressive, "worldy" thinking from a young woman is going to lead to severe disappointment. Maybe she's neurodivergent, who knows? She asked an innocent question, and then so many people tormented her. She had the misfortune of not only marrying a misogynistic a-hole who bullied his own wife (bc that's how her father treated her, so she was brought up believing that was normal), he did it in all manner of public outlets, furthering her suffering. It looks like she's found her slice of happiness, and good for her. We should all be so lucky.

The media and front pages being covered in “Jessica Simpson letting herself go” I think one synapses said she was 130ibs and a size 4 and they were calling her fat. This destroyed me! It was The only time (besides Jon benay stuff because that was scary) that a tabloid had really affected me. I was 18 and already weighed 120ibs and it made me feel giant and fat and unattractive at 18 years old, and I was a size 7 and she was a size 4 and they were tearing her apart. It broke my heart for her and for myself. I literally broke up with a boy because people in school said I was the prettiest girl he dated because he usually dated fat girls and that made me feel fat. I’m 33 now and way more than 130 and I feel like I was so stupid because I was stunning and i’m still very pretty. If you ever do a video about Nick Lachey and his family, you should look into the fact that, between 2008 and 2010, Nick's parents sent his younger sister to a residential treatment facility in Gettysburg Pennsylvania where she was abused and witnessed a riot. She and I were at this residential treatment facility at the same time, and everyone knew that her family was rich and that her brother was a popstar, and none of us understood why they sent her to a hole-in-the-wall where children were abused constantly whenever they could actually access better treatment for her depression and other issues. I'm not saying that he had anything to do with it but he was famous and everyone knew that he was off living his best life while she was there with the rest of us. I'm pretty sure she was either in Zion or Emmanuel House, which were both known to be the "violent girl's house" and the "gross girl's house", respectively. If you dig enough into most of these celebrities pass you will find that they're all involved in some really fucked up shit or their parents were involved in really fucked up shit.
