Best rebuild I've ever seen. I drive a rebuilt Model 3. Had it 4 years and still as perfect as when i bought it. I know yours will be perfect, too.

Wow, tons of hours in. Not just labor, but also editing. Thank you 🙏

Really impressive. This is so far beyond what most of us / many of us / (ok, I) could do. Mesmerizing.

Very interesting series. If I could make a suggestion. When you have the music going it’s much louder than the regular audio when you are talking. Causes me to have to constantly turn the tv up and down since the music is so much louder. If there is a way during editing to even them out they would be awesome. 😁
@MartinRebuilds-fz1ep2 ай бұрын
Appreciate the feedback, I try to make sure the volume level of the music is down enough to not sound intrusive. I will take that into consideration.

Thoroughly enjoying the extensive rebuild process. But it begs the question, did you consider doing any type of mods to it besides turning the hose clamp. Especially, since you're a current owner and an engineer. I know I could think of a few dozen LOL, good luck with the rebuild.
@MartinRebuilds-fz1ep5 ай бұрын
You heard correct. The entire pack is 45k if its completely destroyed. However each module is about 4500 bucks and normally that's all that would go back is a module.

@@MartinRebuilds-fz1ep when I used the term 'mod'. i was referring to modifications.... But thanks for the breakdown on the cost of the battery pack...

Great job... I just bought a new 2023 xlt er . I love watching these type of vids to help me understand how they work. Found goonzquad that way years ago for my f250

One man show doing all the amzing work in F150 lightning, i think you sre only the person in this world know every corner of lightning, put in genuine world record year 2024 F150 lightning man.❤

Thanks for the kind comment, we certainly have had every nut and bolt apart on the lightning, I think there are others like Sandy Munro's team that know it better than I, but it is fun anyway.

Cool , class video thanks for sharing , repairability is very important , in order to sell new trucks , there has to be folks who will buy the used trucks , who wont worry if repairs need to be done , Ford ,have this down solid . If only i lived in America , id buy a used F 150 Lightning in a heart beat , for Ireland the Toyota Land cruiser is the king , excellent build quality and size that fits the roads , its about 4 feet shorter than the f 150 and still does the job ,hard to beat the Japanese for build quality , if only they did a electric truck , late to the party. Interesting to see the rugged build quality in the Lightning everything looks tough.

How in the world do you keep track of how and where everything goes back together?!?!
@MartinRebuilds-fz1ep8 ай бұрын
Very carefully, reviewing video and 30 years experience. The biggest key is don't take up much apart at once and don't let it sit very long between tearing down and putting back together.
@MartinRebuilds-fz1ep7 ай бұрын
Very carefully. Actually, I went back and watched the film a few times of the teardown.

In terms of the hose clamp potential recall issue, I hope you are going to add some additional protection at that point, and/or a clamp between the two hoses to keep them rubbing together.... Just my, two cents on it, that I'm sure you've already thought of....
@MartinRebuilds-fz1ep5 ай бұрын
Once the hose clamp was rotated there were no sharp edges rubbing on each other. Only the hoses rubbing together and trying to eliminate rubber on rubber contact would mean changing a ton of routing on other lines on the truck. Been 50k on my lightning and no issues with it.
@nc38265 ай бұрын
@@MartinRebuilds-fz1ep i realize rotating the clamp addresses the main issue.... But it did have an indentation in the hose and I'm just a belt and suspenders kind of person.... But the type of precaution, I was suggesting Is more relevant for Ford production of future Lightnings.... Since we know some of those clamps we rotated in the wrong orientation... I look forward to you completing the rebuild and hopefully you'll do some mods... Good luck.

Hmm, this makes me wonder if any of the alumi-F150 cabs and beds (Regular cab, long bed for example) would swap onto a Lightning EV frame 🤔
@pablopicaro76496 ай бұрын
Where did you find a replacement Frame? another Wreck or from OEM?
@MartinRebuilds-fz1ep6 ай бұрын
The frame was from a 23 lightning program truck that the manufacturer sold through a salvage yard. It was much cheaper than oem new.
