Don’t know if you noticed. But the area they used for the second part of the fight is the spring maiden vault from Rwby. You know, where Raven and Cinder fought. No idea why they used it again but it’s a great location for a fight.

Okay, let me list a few things. -Custom track is called Fight like a Devil -I don't agree with the result, but it's because Death Battle gave different numbers for one of the characters in a different episode -I think some of the effects are custom, since it's not seen in any fighting game that I've seen -If a character has too big of an arsenal or selection of transformations, Death Battle tries to show the signatures and most powerful -This is the last fight directed by Torrian, the lead 3-D animator up to this point, before he went to other projects. Finished it off with a bang in my opinion. Though he does come back for some future vids.

The later Akuma episode may have had better Calcs but I stand by it being inaccurate for Shao Kahn. The Shun Goku Satsu is a spiritual attack, not a physical, and Shao Kahn is as susceptible to soul magic as any normal person and he definitely has enough sins to be instantly destroyed by the move. Plus he never survived that planet laser (It’s a fatality) and he hasn’t shown any real speed advantage on the level of lightning. That being said, even with the different calcs, this would still be an accurate fight for Ryu and Jinn, at least for the period these two were in. It might have changed since SFVI and Tekken VIII

The version of Ryu that was used in this episode was more powerful then the version that was used in Ryu VS Scorpion. The reason why is become when Ryu VS Scorpion was made they try to only use feats from the main games, but when they made this episode they have changed the rule and are now using every feat for the characters unless the feat contradicts what is canon. The Akuma meteor feat comes from a game called Capcom's Fighting Evolution, the game its non canon but it doesn't contradict with any feat in canon so that why it was accepted in the episode but not in Ryu VS Scorpion. And there also is one form that they include this time, they didn't have it in the animation or talk about, but they had it listed. The form comes from a comic book series called Street Fighter Unlimited. It is when Ryu combines Satsui No Hado (Evil Ryu) with the Mu No Ken (The Power Of Nothingness), half evil & half pure energy, just like the Jing & Jang. Also this version of Ryu is possible planet to star level, as he scales to Oni. And Oni is superior when Akuma is in his Shin form that he used to destroy the meteor. The thing is that Shin Akuma most likely created a energy ball comparable to the size of the earth, which makes Shin Akuma planet level & Oni star level. I already explained what Shin Ryu is. Where Shin Akuma is Akuma using the Satui No Hado, it sorta similar to Ryu's evil form, the difference is that Akuma has control over it because he wants to use it where Ryu loses control of himself because he doesn't want to use it. Oni is Akuma fully embracing the full power of the Satui No Hado, but he gains so much power he also starts to lose more control off himself. Ps. Keep making these great videos, this probably my favorite Death Battle reaction so far

Some are asking for a Samurai Jack reaction? Yeah, I agree with that. It's an amazing series at any age. Fun fact, tv censors will let you get away with pretty much any form of violence as long as there's no red blood. Samurai Jack takes full advantage of this, especially in the early episodes. Also, the pilot is its own tv movie, so just reacting to that would be an event in itself.

8:16 - Heihachi throwing his son of the cliff, makes little sense, when you know the context. Heihachi had wife and son (Kazuya), but than it turns out she's a Demon that wants to kill him, but Heihachi killed her instead. Than Heihachi realised that Kazuya might be half-demon (11:21), and here were throwing from cliff came from. It was in a way test, if Kazuya died from fall, than he was just a Human, if he survied, he's a Demon (but because Jin exist, we know which option happened). 9:15 - The same goes for Jin, Heihachi shot him, becouse of his Part-Demon heritage. But that does not make Heihachi a good guy. This family simply has lots of issues. Hoo boy, as a lover of fighting games and fighting game lore, I absolutely love this battle. Street Fighter in particular is a big inspiration for the fighting game I’m working on right now. :) If they had approached research the way they did in this episode back in the early days when they did Ryu vs Scorpion, I feel that fight would have had a VERY different outcome. This episode is in my top 5 favorites (alongside Dante vs Bayonetta, Voltron vs Power Rangers, and the upcoming Gundam vs Optimus Prime) because of its unmatched and amazing choreography. If it weren’t for the rather weak ending, this could be the best of all time. Seriously that ending was quite flat. Ryu just goes mu no ken then blasts Jin with a shinku hadouken, fast and anticlimactic. But mu no ken isn’t *just* a raw power up, it’s a state of mind. Much like ultra instinct in Dragon Ball, it clears the user’s mind to react to battle instantly, it’s a state of enlightenment. So instead of the ending we got, imagine this: Ryu enters mu no ken and knocks Jin’s fist aside as already in the battle. Then instead of instantly going into the finisher, Jin tries to punch Ryu in the face, but the World Warrior dodges by a hair’s breadth. Jin, enraged, attempts his patented 10 hit combo, but Ryu expertly blocks or evades every move with perfect calm and precision, sending devil Jin into an even greater anger. Then Ryu grabs Jin’s wings, crippling them and throwing Jin up into the air. Helpless, Jin can only struggle as Ryu powers up his ultimate move, the shinku hadouken, and blows the devil away. KO! The Mishima family drama is pretty much the center of the Tekken storyline and yeah, they’re pretty much all horrible people. XD Grandpa Heihachi had a Death Battle in the current season against my all time favorite fighting game villain, Geese Howard. Tekken is a series which can swing from deadly serious to wacky nonsense at the drop of a hat. For instance, Heihachi owns a pet bear who he taught Kung fu. XD Also in the latest Tekken game, Akuma (as well as Geese!) is a canon character! It’s not technically the same Akuma from Street Fighter, so they don’t share the same universe, but it’s a legitimate crossover!

Akuma is really cool, and I highly suggest you check out his backstory and related stuff, it's really interesting. One of my favourite things about him is that he's not evil per se, just unrestrained. In Elena's character ending in Ultra Street Fighter 4, he's taking part in a selfie with her, and it's kinda cute. EDIT: I looked the ending up again, and Akuma is taking the selfie!

Oh he's evil for sure but he's also got standards. He won't fight a weak foe (he had to basically be convinced to fight Gen, who was dying of cancer, and only gave in when he realized that Gen was basically asking for a warrior's death), he's honorable and lives up to his word (even if he has to go to a different *franchise* to do it, as seen in Tekken 7), and he also seems to enjoy freaking people out by just existing, if his background appearances in both the SF2V anime (I don't think he actually DOES anything in that whole series other than loom in background shots) and many, many pieces of official art are any indication.

This is my favorite episode period. The rundowns, the animation, I enjoyed nearly everything about this one 😊 It made me a happy Vs. debater. Although the forum I'm part of used the 700 megaton mid-end for Akuma's punch Of course, Street Fighter has even crazier feats (a 20ish teraton calc too). So crazy that it took another meteor-breaking feat for my fellow debaters to accept those crazy showings 🤣

The original plan for the animation of the battle was to have Ryu and Jin fight each other while rolling down a cliff, but I don’t think they had a background source to use, so they just asked the RWBY animators if they could use Valt from RWBY

In the bit about Jin causing a world war to fight the OG of the devil gene, Jin found out that Azazel is a monster that feeds off of negative emotions and causes current ones to amplify to dangerous levels, but Azazel at the time was a spirit and immortal, but with each negative emotion Azazel grew in strength and became more linked to the world. So Jin decided in order to stop him, he would force feed Azazel enough negative energy to grow a physical body that follows the rules of mortality. In the end, Jin the hero of the Tekken series forced himself to become the villain to save everyone by starting a world war so he can destroy this monster that would corrupt the world beyond saving

People got salty cuz they overall downplayed jin... but ryu was kinda downplayed aswell in my opinion this is probably be addressed when both return against other opponents like kazumi from doa for jin and ryu vs ryo sakazaki or ryu vs kyo kusanagi which are a lot better than ryu vs liu kang (ryu vs liu kang sucks)

Udon comic is partially canon just like tekken tag and some stuff where even brought up in the games later also the games has their own set of feats that basically back up udon comic scaling, the thing is that they should have brought that tekken comic aswell, they definitely nerfed ryu tho, they didn't brought up bison reacting to laser who base ryu is comparable to, and haggar country level explosion which base ryu is also comparable to

@@marlonfarias. that laser never hit bison the Canon version was him pretending that he did get hit so that doesn't count, that's a what-if Nash, Chun LI or birdie defeats him moment he's never been hit by it, so we're bringing crossover feats right, you might as add the TTT2 ogre ending only one can destroy a city effortless now it 7 ogre's times 7 ogre to a city busting feat and that's alot of TNT force right there if were including ridiculous non Canon crossover BS feat then don't forget SFxT Pandora box overpowered the satu no hado but couldn't overpowered the devil gene power so that means equivalent to each other then, right? It's only fair because that's what DB are doing you can't say it can't be done because there using SNK vs Capcom version of akuma going to heaven and hell why not use SFxT for better results for Jin huh? @@shenelljohnson74 yeah a feat that happened in multiple endings and all of the endings has intercoursers who leads to the continuity of the story and is including in the main game as something the devs wanted to show about the capability of the character, and ryu would still scale on the laser in his base form nonetheless, cuz it was fired from his own energy that he should be comparable cuz well... it's his energy, and bison did reacted in multiple different scenarios, he didn't pretend and they are just variant continuities of the same story, just like some endings in tekken, if we don't include that feat then we don't include gunjack hitting the meteor for the same reason, and no it's not crossover non canon, is partially canon, things that add to the story despite not being directly connected to it, tekken tag and udon comic, they add canon stuff to both stories so they are partially canon, non canon crossovers aren't included cuz sf vs tekken ad nothing to both verses neither does asura's wrath crossover, marvel vs capcom is it's own separated universe, capcom vs snk is it's own separated universe and the list goes on Non canon and partially canon are different, and we should logically use partially canons for both characters since it's an logical representation of what both are capable of, this argument commonly used to nerf street fighter doesn't holds up when literally any other fighting game just like tekken and kof would be bounded by the same logic and a lot of good feats like gunjack meteor feat would be wiped out of the discussion cuz is something that didn't really happened in the main story and only happens if you beat the game with gunjack which for me is bullshit since that feat should be included anyway, and that is nerfing the verses and making the characters look weaker than they are, i doesn't really care if jin loses or win this MU but this sf nerf is quite annoying since any other fighting game would fall for the same argument and partially canon is always acceptable as long as it doesn't directly change everything or establishes itself as its own separated thing, sf vs tekken don't add nothing to the verses neither it is relevant to both stories making it completely non canon to both verses and therefore not an usable material for vs debate
