what's left now are just bitter/sweet memories16, 17 years back when I came across Sex, Drogen Und Industrie EP. that was something totally new! nobody before Andy has ever done anything like that. I could compare it only with my first meet with 242 "Headhunter" as a 15 years old boy... Andy was a true pioneer. I was particularly happy bcs he finally neutralized that technoid bastard IoC ... :) and then one gem after another, Shut Up And Swallow, Electrohead, What the F**Is Wrong With You People?, F** That Shit, Blut Royal, Sent To Destroy, Get Your Body Beat, All Pain Is Gone etc. and then Making Monsters came... seriously, I thought it was kind of an experiment, just a phase in a life of extra-talented musician, singing escapades with riffs, a self-assessment test, whatnot... I barely played the CD 3,4 times. Then I realized that Andywasn't joking when I got We Love You album... I've played that one even less than MM. however, some religious non-belief made me not to throw that bs to the bin, hoping maybe the guy will come to his senses one day... alas. not gonna happen. Andy had a legions of fans, true electro-industrial fans who were adoring his sounds, voice, energy never seen before, name it... but he decided to s** on that, and, from an extraordinary talented pioneer with balls bigger than Al Jourgensen's, he became a mediocre mishmash heavy metal/quasi industrial, whatever it is that you're calling ... THIS. now he sounds like thousands and thousands other guitar bands, tasteless and boring, that cannot move a single cell in my body (and I've ended up once with twisted angles and bruisers on my hips when heard Electrohead for the first time)… he's got himself an army of long hair headbangers, good for him, respect. a mediocre, maybe too harsh. an opportunist is much better. so be it. there are a lot of bills to be paid... rip, dear Andy.
