At the beginning of the MV while the members are being introduced in the background you can hear the lines "We are bulletproof. We are, we are bulletproof". That's actually their pre-debut song 'We Are Bulletproof. Part 1'.

I found their vlog purely by KZbin algorithm a month before their debut, i thought they were underground rappers when i first listened to school of tears. The vlogs don't even have subtitles yet but watching them talking kinda soothing during my hectic student life. Their debut really surprised me, this song came out at the prime time for theme like this in kpop world. Cliché but i gave them a chance anyway. Their songs are meaningful, and being an asian student pressured by the school system, i really look up to them. They weren't popular but such a gem hidden away from the mass media. I continue supporting them, grow up with them, watch them grow up and the efforts were paid in a way i never imagined. Please continue watching and take your time understanding their old stuffs, even if some of their songs' genre isn't your cup of tea, you can look past through it and digest the meanings.

Great reaction Bryan. You should definetly give the Armypedia 2019 performance of No More Dream a watch on your own. As I mentioned previously it's a 'live band version of the song' (no band visible but the instrumental is live band.) And it's done similar to their BTS live room performance - casual with no choreo - vocals are really clear

This song was their debut. You can feel the power of their music and message since the beginning! Personally, I love a classroom, I'm extremely curious, so the more I learn, the more I want to know. But I had to stop my studies because I became a single mother, no regrets about it. Now I'm 65yo ( pensionated but still working as a languages teacher), laurated for the first time in 2018 and keep stuying. But I know and respect that anyone has their own time. The main thing I tried to teach to my son is: find what makes to heart beat faster and what you would hate to do, then go after the first and avoid everything that can put you on the second. Thanks for one more excellent reaction! 💜💜💜

Back then, everyone would have been opposed to RM driving ... Yoongi would be yelling "the bus might explode." 😳(after all he did voice how he was afraid of the stage collapsing irl) and Bang PD would be thinking that they don't have the budget for possible accidents that RM could cause! Only time RM can be behind the wheel is in the game world (In the Seom). 😅 I would go down their discography chronologically, because their early work have a similar message to their age group. N.O. goes more into Korean school system/parental pressure, which Rise of Bangtan Ep 3 mentioned it briefly. My father's side have gone to Seoul and Yonsei University. I was over 10 years younger than my cousins who were already on their way. I started at age 5 (January born, so I started with the older kids, IYKYK), private tutoring and other lessons (piano, math, speech, Chinese calligraphy, painting, ceramics room from 8am to 8pm. Once elementary school ended, the pressure grew higher and I thought if I didn't get into SKY, I would be bringing shame to the family and thought I had to kill myself to hide the disgrace. I was an avid writer and kept a daily journal where I would repeatedly write "I am worthless." "I can't do anything right." since age of 13 whenever I didn't get the highest score, or gotten the best remark - it was always be the best or it's all for nothing. My saving grace when my family moved to America. But the need to having "achieved" something never went away and kept me so guarded and anxious. Then in college, my mentor told me that anytime in the world, there'll always be someone who's better than me and someone who's worse off than me. That made me change my view and attitude toward things. Catastrophic thinking, pettiness and jealousy started to dissipate and I learned to accept that in the light of bigger picture, life goes on, things always change and I am only a small part this universe for a short while.

OK. You definitely have to doing a reaction to Baepsae. I know you gonna love it. It's until now one of my favorite songs and the lyrics were so good and always accurate in our days. It's a criticism about Korean society (and more about capitalist system). I think a explaining video exist. The lyrics are really good, the music is amazing. It don't exist a official video but they release a dance practice who became a masterpiece : they made a bet and Suga lost it so he has to doing an unexpected break dance, it's priceless. They made a wonderful live in the same show at the No More Dream performance you just watch. Anyway, Baepsae is a great song with deep lyrics and the beat is amazing. A great great song. And for next time : Spine Breaker. They made themself the MV in a hotel room during a tour. And next they made the most funny performance in stage I watch. And, cherry on the cake, the song is very good and the lyrics are more deep you can imagine the first time you listen to it. And, maybe I miss it, but it seem to me you haven't did a react to Fire. I'm glad I jointed you in your journey few month ago. You have so much good songs to still listen 😊

Great reaction, Bryon! They really came out swinging with this as their debut song. The way the lyrics go back and forth talking to the students and challenging the hypocrisy of the parents - I think that makes it more relatable to older generations. The students have everything in front of them, but we’ve made our choices- sometimes at the expense of our dreams. It’s a wake up call. Speaking of, and very relevant thematically - have you seen Everything Everywhere All At Once?? If not, it’s a must see. I don’t know if younger people relate to it the same way, but as an adult in mid life with the usual regrets, it was overwhelmingly mind blowing and the end was cathartic.

When this was released I was in 10th grade and was very scared to go to college since my parents wants me to pursue Medicine which is very far from my interest. (there's a joke in asian community "Asian parents: be a doctor or lawyer if you failed you'll be disowned" something like that😂) Ngl this song hits hard that time, I didn't go to college right away but instead got to work and wander around for a bit to discover what I really want to do in life and fell inlove in architecture. I was disowned and later on needed to make a living for myself and now also for my siblings while going to university. It's really stressful for youths to be oppressed by others and take a specific path even it's not what you want.

Loved this. Love this song. I think the sound quality on the live was pretty poor because the production wasn't under Big Hit's control but the programme producers', and BTS, we hear, was often given the short end of the stick by programmes because Big Hit had no influence (did not pay them). I believe that everything BTS has done since has grown from this song and the philosophy it conveys. The tone of their message is much softer, but it is just as, if not more, revolutionary. This - along with all their sheer artistry - is why I love them. They have stayed true to themselves, despite all the evolution. I really like the structure of this reaction, with a visit to the translation and the live performance. There are few if any BTS songs which don't actually merit and repay this kind of consideration. Thank you.

This one is a hit. am glad u feel the same. =0] Dude what u mean they not sweating. Their hair is wet af. Pls rewatch and look at their hair from the start. This was an amazing stage. They performed a few songs. They were wild. Love the fits and makeup. They all slayed! They all trained for 3 years except Jimin. Jimin trained 6-8 months. Than they practice for this stage for 3 months. 12-16 hrs daily. They run on treadmills while singing. They had passion. They had drive and yeah they were angry. But they worked so hard and true army noticed. They grew slow and steadily but they always had more ppl then they predicted show up to concerts and other stuff. They truly are a gem of a group. With Jimin showing his abs, there's a cute behind the scenes they shared somewhere along the journey. It was decided that all the members will show the abs at this part. And everyone was shy... Dying of embarrassment.... And Jimin himself was narrating this story... Then he says "one day Pd-nim (Bang Si Hyuk) called them and said only Jimin needs to show his abs" 😂😂 Jimin used to be shy at that time, and also a lotttttt under confident. That boy was so hard on himself, just because he didn't have that sharp jawline like other members of the group..... But but but.... When he started performing it live, and got the cheers for flashing his abs... He grew confident about it, amd started feeling confident in his own skin ❤️ Jimin is the greatest example for someone who is under-confident about their appearance.... Because now when we see Jimin, that boy has everything anyone can ask for, he just needed to believe in himself, be a little easy with himself, and needed to LOVE HIMSELF a lot 💜 I got inspired by Jimin's glow up. Now I love myself, and preach about it to my siblings and my friends. This was the beautiful present Jimin gave me 💕 and this is the reason I love him so much 👉🏻👈🏻
