So cool that Jimin is featured in his own Idol’s comeback song! Jimin has been a fan since he was a teenager of Taeyang from the K-pop group BigBang. Being from a different agency, from 2nd generation K-pop group, being older and absent for military service, it’s a miracle that they finally were able to collab. Taeyang and his producer Teddy waited 2 years for BTS to move into solo projects to be able to approach Jimin. I am so glad that they got to do this and I really like the Live version more that the MV. Perhaps they will be able to do another collaboration, they go together so well! Thanks for your reaction!

Oh man, I've been waiting for this!! I knew you would love the high note. Taeyang is someone that Jimin has idolized his whole career. This was a dream come true for him. In the bangtan bomb of the mv shooting, he's just fanboying the whole time. This was such an amazing collab and it was super cool that Jimin had so much time on the song. They both killed it.

It is a Vibe, no otther way to decribe it. Taeyang was verey gemerous to Jimin sharing this song. And that live perforrmancee is fire! Thiis was the colab we didn't know we needed. Jimin's smile at the end of the live is so cute. Check out Suga's interview of Taeyang also. I knew that Jimin looked up to Taeyang as a performer, I didn't realize the impact TaeYang and BigBang had on Suga also.

This song is so much fun. I love their energy and the mutual respect between them. It's wonderful that Jimin has been able to collaborate with his hero - he seems so very happy. I'd never really paid any attention to Taeyang or Big Bang, but I really like him based on the things I've seen of him since this song came out, including his guest shot on Yoongi's talk show. Jimin, meanwhile, is Jimin, which is to say exquisite and amazingly talented. I love his voice in this.

Taeyang is part of Big Bang, a legendary K-Pop group who have been together for seventeen years. He and G-Dragon. are the most prominent members. You need to look them up. Taeyang is 34 so not that much older than Jin and SUGA. Taeyang is Jimin’s pop hero. He fanboyed over him so hard. These two fit so well together. They are both good singers and dancers. Taeyang was impressed with Jimin’s work ethic. If you watch some of the old clips of BTS filmed while they’re in the waiting room they are sometimes vibing to Bigbang and miming to their songs and Taeyang’s solos. There’s a behind the scenes of this and SUGA interviewed Taeyang on Suchwita recently and was so in awe of him. You’ll have to watch that.

I am also a late 80's baby and grew up in the 90's. I do love 80's music and agree there is a total 80's feel to it, but definitely a modern mix to it? If that makes sense. I love this song. I had never heard of Taeyang before. To be honest, BTS is really the only KPop group I listen to. I am fairly new to BTS and I only get to her other K-Pop artists through them. Hearing Taeyang, I will look to listen to other songs by not only him, but his group, (BigBang?) as well. I have a lot of respect for Taeyang....I loved & appreciated the shoutout he gave to Jimin....both in intro to him & then at the end. He knows that Jimin's a fan & appears to appreciate that! I love this live so so much. I like it better than the MV version - both of these men are known for their stage presence & live performances. And I like this funky instrumentation a lot. Taeyang is possibly more famous than Jimin in Korea 😂 and everything I've seen shows that this was a genuinely delightful collaboration for both of them. Taeyang is the artist Jimin looked up to the most, his idol. This is his first release in six years, and he's an actual legend. For Jimin, working with him was a dream come true. His interview with Suga on Suchwita is a genuine pleasure, a true joy - from Suga being nervous at the top on - and Taeyang shares what it was like working with Jimin. There's one moment in that interview I'd particularly like you to see, the first time Suga hears this song (it was recorded pre-release). Plus all the rest of it... It's two legendary musicians talking about very real things. It's not a short conversation, so I completely understand if it's not something you can fit into your recording schedule, but trust me when I say you'd love it & watch it on your own time. 😁

Taeyang is my personal favorite member of BigBang. BigBang debuted in 2006 and they are considered the "Kings of Kpop"... G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, and Daesung. Originally a five-piece band, Seungri retired from the entertainment industry in March 2019. Taeyang is my favorite because of his beautiful R&B type of smooth voice and great dancing! Listen to a few of his solo songs: 1 - Wedding Dress mv 2 - Eyes, Nose, Lips - his vocal range really shines on this one. (My favorite version is the live extended one of 5+ minutes from the *MADE* seoul world tour ... I found it on "12325" KZbin channel) 3 - I Need a Girl (favorite version 4 me is the "official" MV of Taeyang featuring G-Dragon.) BigBang released a mv/song in 2022 called " STILL LIFE" which REALLY HIGHLIGHTS each of Bigbang's member's voices. Their 2 most well known songs are perhaps: 1 - Fantastic Baby 2 - Bang Bang Bang Please check their music out. You won't regret it.

I like Big bang music, they have great songs, solo stuff is nice too, I have GD albums and Big ban "Made" is one of best album in kpop for me if we don't count BTS (😋). They were caled kings for reson. So I think you have decide for yourself what you think about them. Hmm also if all this "bad rep" is important, bc except Senguri case, and you can't do anything about that he is in their songs, so I don't really care when listening... But maybe I'm ignrant, but I'm here for music mostly. So I don't to say much but ahh... Like if we don't go in rumors only thing that have proof, facts alone, Yes they had/have a lot going on around band. And Yes, Taeyang is most clean, never had anything going except few bad senstences that blow (similar like Crush case not that long ago) and little drama with his girlfriend, now wife. But Seungri is like nightmare for kpop fans, but no metter how much I liked Big bang Seungri never passed my vibe check. (He was maknae if you don't know) And we know why, big scandal, you can look into it if you want to know, but it is filthy, all happened when members were in military, we don't know how much they did know or didn't know, but they say and didn't know what he was doing with his "Club work". Then Deasung also few scandal but more like life situation, He had car accident and if I remeber coreclly his bad it was and he didn't help or something person in second car or something like that and that person died I don't remember much it was long ago you can look to be sure if you are interested, he said he was in shook and didn't know what he was doing (after accident). I didn't follow this case so I don't remeber exaclly. And there was second something that I totally don't remember, but also like this situation, something happened. Then TOP drugs scandals and it was mostly weed in US, on some after parties, etc. It was few times, and first times he said that it was at party but he didn't smoke, then next time there were pictures, there also was time that he said someone give him and he thought it was cigartte, and a lot of different excuses, bc law in Korea is hard agnist drugs, He had cases in curt, and have to pay, every one of his cases blow big, then when he was doing his military time he was taking some pills that are illegal in Korea, but in US this are some anxious drugs. But he had hearing, pay again and have to start military servis again in new place as social worked, it means like in Police so you are in city and not like soldier in some far place, so he could be observed and have medical help, etc. TOP is also know for his controversial views and bc of this a lot of backlash. For me as long as there is no harm it is his private thing hmso I never got deep in his views. And GD he has the same situation as TOP, weed mostly. Also the last big controversy was that he had a lot of vacation days in military, and he had, but it was all official like he had some from doctor times, He also won some days and some were bc of good service. But most people say it was easier for him bc of his name and his company, and money, etc, it is true?, I don't know, but officialy all days he got were fair. And like I said this are facts, there is a lot of rumors, a lot of talking, but not really official things so all this things are more like what you want to believe, so I don't want talk about them.

@magdalena...to be more precise: the real true scandal was Seungri. TOP and GD ones, if they were Westerners, would have been totaly overlooked. Daesung was really bad luck: was driving late at night (not drunk neither speeding) and he drove on a body. Apparently the person already felt from his moto on the road (accident or seizure) can't remember if the justice stated if he was already dead or not. Daesung was traumatized by that and suffered extreme anxiety . He stopped promoting as an artist for a few years. He and Taeyang are convincted believers

♦️Ringa, Linga is another Taeyang solo song which is also upbeat, where he also dances, which I hope you also get a chance to react to, as opposed to Eyes, Nose, & Lips, which is a slower, more of a ballad. Also from BigBang, who debuted in 2006, the legendary group, 2nd generation, that were considered Kings of Kpop, he’s from, that inspired so many future Kpop idols, including all of BTS members, other songs I recommend from BigBang: Bang, Bang, Bang; Fantastic Baby; Loser; If You (preferably the Live From Bangkok vid), which really showcases their phenomenally amazing, so beautifully breathtaking vocals, are other songs to react to. Also another must to react to is Good Boy that feat both Taeyang & G-Dragon (leader of BigBang) who also composes most of their songs as well as for others, raps but also is great vocalist, just like Taeyang who also raps as well. Also composes & writes lyrics as well. I urge you to react to Good Boy live from 2014 MAMA awards, as well as BigBang performances as a whole live, also from MAMA awards. (You can even see BTS sitting in audience where idols groups sit during BigBang 2014 MAMA performance where they performed Bang Bang Bang as well as other of their songs like Loser! All members have done solos and collabed with each other. Seeing BigBang live performances are on another level. Just like BTS is now. BTS members have all looked up to this group. But especially Jimin had Taeyang as one of his role models growing up. To not only end up being invited to work with him as well as even be involved in composing the song I’m sure, meant so much to Jimin. Also performing outside of BTS allows Jimin to use more of his full registry including more mid to lower range notes that some aren’t even aware of that he executes equally well as his phenomenally amazing high notes. You can actually see BTS in the audience during one of BigBang MAMA awards performances. They back then always won most of the awards, and closed the show with each yr some of the most memorable, so hype, so energetic performances, that are all must sees that I also highly recommend, just like BTS performances have been at these award shows.but BigBang came first being 2nd generation, BTS 3rd.

I like the way the MV and the live arrangement seem to “mirror” each other. In the MV Taeyang’s verse starts with almost nothing but 808 beats with his vocals carrying the entire melody. Then when Jimin comes in he is accompanied by romantic, melodic chords. In the live it’s kind of reversed. Taeyang’s verse is full of smoothing keyboards and chimes, and then Jimin comes in with powerful percussion accents. I understand that you did not look up who Taeyang is before this, so I’m not trying to scold you. But he does not sound similar to Jimin. It’s the other way around. Jimin literally studied Taeyang’s vocals, and he is THE reason Jimin decided to pursue a career in singing and audition with music labels instead of going to a dance company.

100% agreed, I prefer these types of lives when we get their raw vocals. Festa room live, proof live, tiny desk and the BBC live lounge, Armypedia are some of my absolute favorites from BTS. No shade to autotune but sometimes it takes away that "feeling" that I'm looking for and sometimes I don't like the song until they do it live, then i become obsessed. They do have quite a few studio versions though that are minimally produced and so the live clips sounds almost the same.

Jimin study taeyang since the start of bts since he is taeyang’s fans. bigbang is legendary, bts love em alot too. you should see when yoongi interview taeyang bigbang. I love their both point of view in living a life as a human being. people seems to misunderstand bigbang, they did seem intimidating. even when bts comes to bigbang waiting room, yoongi feels like seeing ‘big boss’, but they actually pretty funny and soft. bigbang is basically the draft blueprint of bts.

Yes the live performance is amazing! Just like any BTS live performance - they're all better than the MV/studio version. Taeyang is very likeable. Not gonna lie. This song is actually more of a throw back to the 90s; I was in my 20s in the 90s and there are parts in this song that are very much like a song called ‘Poison’ by Bell Biv DeVoe. Check it out! Okay 1st of all, Taeyang is pronounced as Tae (as in Day) - Yaaang ... Tae-yang. He is a part of the kpop group Big-Bang. They were a lot of new generation groups' inspiration. BTS are a big fan of Big-Bang too. And Taeyang is The inspiration of Jimin. He has been mentioning him as his inspiration everywhere in their old content. I'm with you. BTS are so much better live. You can hear the nuances in there voices which are often edited out or lost on studio productions. I'd love to hear the guys do an acoustic concert where you can really HEAR their voices because they are all so amazing. Bryan, I'd love to see you react to Big Bang one day. Some of there MVs like "fantastic baby" are pretty out there! They were huge back in the day.

You should react to mv shooting sketch (behind the scenes from their channel BANGTANTV) and I know Jimin is very very very good and talented and many many other things, but please , can you talk about their collaborations a bit more ,like Taeyang for example, you can say is good dancer ,is very talented and live as well, you know( jin voice) ,and appreciate the other artists or groups that collaborate with bts or one of the members ,like vocals,rap, dancing, stage present ,or live performances, raw vocals etc... I hope you understand what I mean by this and you nice keep going 💜 💜

I thought the intro was so classy. IMHO the producers over process vocals of all the guys in BTS. no need. they all listen to them live, LOL. Special effcts on the rappers, or songs like Mikro, or My universe, ok, I get it. but for most of their songs, keep it still. Beautiful, clean vocals are the best.I agree, the live is much better as you can hear their real voices and WOW>

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Eyes, Nose, Lips by Taeyang(of Big Bang) i heard for the 1st time a few weeks ago. I love this song. I hear Taeyang is always naked, snorts. I like Wedding Dress by him too good song. Sad video though. Taemin(of Shinee) is Jimin's pal but he is also an idol Jimin looks up too besides Taeyang. Taemin has a lot of solo's and I recently started checking him out more. Taemin is now my bias actually. 😅Jimin got so much inspo from him but he is still a different artist. It's so fascinating to see the similarities and differences. Taeyang I don't know much about but I hope to learn more. He was gone for 6 yrs. He is married and a dad now. Jimin also looks up to him and I bet this collab is a dream come true. The song is catchy. I love it. I am going to listen to it as much as possible. Jimin's dance pulls me in and no more focus here. lol. I saw the teasers with Jimin and no shirt and i have not been well since. He got vocals and moves. Seeing these older legends and spotting little pieces of Jimin is so fun and cool. Taeyang said they WILL be doing music shows!!! So excited. Need a dance practice ASAP too! They did a dance challenge to this. Taeyang is Jimin's idol. He adores him, Taemin and Rain too. Jimin learned how to play Wedding Dress on the piano. Like he is a big fan of this guy and the group. Taeyang did sample Bruno Mars Finesse. Jimin's album out in March. So freaking excited. Taeyang's album out April -May. Hope u watch the behind the scenes. They both posted stuff. I agree with you, I normally don’t care for the collabs they do with other artists because their voices (particularly Jimin’s) are not well represented. To me, its a waste of time and I don’t add those collabs to my play list either but this one with Taeyang is a keeper. I was pleasantly surprised and ecstatic that Jimin was given so many lines in the song. I adore Jimin’s voice; its so unique and beautiful. Taeyang seems just as smitten with Jimin as Jimin is with Taeyang. They seem to be having a mutual fan club going, its so cute to watch them together. Jimin gets so shy and flustered when Taeyang hugs him. I don’t know much about Taeyang yet, but I think he sees his younger self in Jimin. He said of all the members, he connected with Jimin the most. I hope there will be more collabs with these two in the future.

Oh yeah, Bangtan members always sound better live in my opinion too, specially Jimin : you can hear ear more his voice texture and singularity without sound effects. I'm not a fan of this style of music generally, it isn't common with what I listen usually, but the song is very cool and classy, I like the funky sound in the live version. The MV is very clean, the camera actions are very cool and Taeyang and Jimin just look amazing! I'm glad they have collaboring together and now, we just have to waiting for Jimin's solo album.... Can't wait.

I also was taken aback by Taeyang's willingness to give so much of the song to Jimin. I mean, he was smart, but that is unusual. I love how in the live version the music supports the vocals and showcases them beautifully.

Is not unusual actualy . BigBang always does that . They always let the people who they colab to shine . In the performance MV for Ringa Linga Taeyang let the dance crew shine despite the fact that he is the star . When he sung Eyes nose lips with a fan at Fantastic Duo he supported the contestant and really used his skill to make show her skill
