@@uok6216 First of all, most women in my neighborhood, including my mom, work and have kids at the same time. It's not easy, but they make it work. Some of these stay-at-home moms continue to stay home long after the kids are school age. That, I don't understand. What are you doing all day? Dusting? My mom took care of us, went to work, cooked, cleaned and did everything. I'm not saying that should be the standard for everyone because it's not easy, but for women to aspire to stay at home when there are so many career opportunities for women is strange to me. Women in the past were forced to stay home because there were limited opportunities for them outside the home. I once sat in a restaurant and overheard the couple next to me talking and the husband asked the wife when or if she was planning to go back to work. He felt like she was coasting. Apparently, they initially agreed that she would stay home with the kids while they were young, but the kids are in school and all much older now. She started crying and flipped out like, "what do you mean I should get a job?! I'm a mom!"
