A couple of things i noticed: I personally spray more rinseless on the panel for my pre-soak. The amount that you spray on there is closer to what i would spray for a waterless wash. When you squeeze the sponge to get some of the rinseless out, it looks like you're squeezing too much liquid out of the sponge itself. It looks ever so slightly damp in your testing. Just a 1 handed squeeze is all thats needed. After squeezing the sponge, you should have a very small stream of rinseless dripping from the sponge after a couple of seconds of holding it. The way i like to think about it is: I'm essentially using to prespray and the rinseless that is inside my sponge to flush away anything on the vehicle. If i don't have that extra liquid, then there's not enough to flush anything away. Making the wash less safe.

Thanks for your video. Glad to see Detail Co Nemesis get some screen time. I love that there is nothing left behind as I'm usually washing ceramic coated vehicles and really just want the ceramic coating as the "top" layer. I don't want another product either masking the performance of the coating or possibly clogging the coating. I would encourage you guys to mix 64:1 in a spray bottle and use that as a drying aid. It's listed on The House of Rags website and on the bottle as a recommended use for Nemesis. My hypothesis is that mixing it a bit heavier might increase the polymer level and give that slickness for drying that you prefer. One last thing... Detail Co's Stay Strong Detailer is an excellent drying aid. No ceramic additives to clog drying towels or cause streaking and what is left behind is very minimal and naturally breaks down in a week or less. With Eddie's and Jamie's "in the trenches" experience as detailers, the Detail Co products really embody their vision of banger products.

If I leave this product to dry there are polymer spots that are drying on the surface. Is the strong detailer sio2 based?
@AMI_Detail
@AMI_Detail Ай бұрын
@@OmniGarage No SiO2... I think it's like rinseless on steroids. I re-watched their video and protection is only a day or two. Not to sound like an infomercial, but... it cleans, it adds lubrication, it adds gloss. However, I think it's just a US only product at the moment.

As it gets colder where I am, the heavy polymer based ones are becoming a pain to dry... it just takes forever to "dry". Going to start trying the more surfactant based cleaners and add a drying aid.

Yeah interesting you say that. I have been testing diy, detail co, clean by pan, Feynlab and I have been letting them dry in the surface. Truth be told they all leave roughly the same amount of polymer spots behind and all rub off relatively easy.

Once you do that, you will not go back. The humidity in the Summer killed polymer products for me.

Slickness must be subjective because I have Feynlab V3 and Nemesis and to me Nemesis is was slicker, especially while drying.... My rides are coated though...
@OmniGarage
@OmniGarage Ай бұрын
I do think slickness can be subjective, however you’re correct, it can also be impacted by what protection is on the vehicle already. You’d naturally expect a ceramic coated vehicle to react slightly differently.
@TannerBobbitt

@tadeloach22 Nemesis is slicker than Feynlab. And this is coming from someone who swore by Feynlab v3. It was my favorite rinseless wash ever. Used it religiously, until I got a little low and decided to try Nemesis. I don't see a reason to go back to Feynlab, now.

lol, people say they want this or that until the dry off. In American terms, "too much dicking around", LOL, you never get to that. Soak that panel, its not perfume! For reals though, if it's not slick enough, your coating sux. If you are using rinseless or waterless on a non coated car, i think you're bnutz. One major part you missed, was the dry off. It's so easy, you wipe less. Wipe less, less chance of marring. It's just gone. Hero better be real slick, because you will chase that streak free dry off. If you try Hydra, you will walk away with the same feeling as Nemesis, not very different in feel or dry off. That sponge though, it gets so much better over time.
@OmniGarage

I have never had an issue drying off any good Rinseless. Hero, diy, Feynlab, detail co, clean by pan all seem to dry pretty equally. The slickness between them are also very similar. The argument that some of these leave nothing behind is not totally true. Because when they all dry they all are leaving polymer spots behind - these are all pretty easy to remove on all of them. These products in my opinion are all very similar… it comes down to personal preferences. That sponge on first go is stiffer and coarser than others. Hope it does soften with age.
@waterhose4130
@waterhose4130 Ай бұрын
@ Nah, when I use Hero, I’m never done. I find streaks, and smudges every time. The more you use these products, the more you pick up on their nuisances. Nothing impresses me any more, the products are just too close in performance. So the little things you start picking up on. For me, that’s ease of dry off. I want my drying towel to remove all the product in one swipe. That’s Nemesis for sure, and Hydra will give you the same vibe. If you use Feunlab and Nemedis right next to each other, you will see how similar they are in performance, but how completely dissimilar they are in experience.

@waterhose4130 what sort of coating/ paint protection do you have. What is your climate/humidity like?
@waterhose4130
@waterhose4130 Ай бұрын
@@OmniGarage you hit the button on humidity. As far as coatings, i've had no slickness issues with any product, on Mohs, Kronos, or Thick. Mohs being the least slick of the three. You don't need Sponge pressure, just a very wet panel. Washing weekly, i also have a concern of polymer build up. Yea, many say that doesn't happen, but many also said the Covid vaccine was safe,lol. As far as drying aides, yea, for uncoated cars. If you need a drying aide to prevent marring on a coated car, your coating sux! Haha, seriously, if a coating has proper hardness, how would a 800-1500 gsm towel marr the finish? Isn't that the point of coating a car? Yea, i got opinions, but my generation didn't have influencers. We just had trial and error, and critical thinking skills. The Detail industry is just like any other, create a need, then sell a product for that need. Great convo, i enjoy speaking with your generation. It's always interesting to see how you guys think, and process the information you are over flooded with. Being candid is important, and all opinions matter.
