Excellent video as always buddy.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it - it was quite nice to do a car video after all the product reviews recently. I haven't done as many recently as I've been slammed with bookings, the filming adds a really significant overhead so I've not had the space around the bookings to do it.

Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment as well, that's really appreciated :) I've got a couple of others with Wash+ in, this is definitely the one I've done recently that sprang to mind kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZi9lXVsr7RgmJI - hopefully you'll enjoy that too.

I always enjoy your videos , the commentary is always spot on and the opinions on the products unbiased .Very jealous as we still have a hosepipe ban up here in Yorkshire 😢 so I'm using a Sealey portable pressure washer at the minute which to be fair isn't too bad tbh.

Bizarrely we never got a hosepipe ban, apparently SES has large ground water supply, but I've been using Rinseless all summer to do my bit.

I bought the hydro hoover XXL drying towel on your recommendation, has been excellent. To return the favour, I recommend the colour coded premium spray nozzles from Carscope. Not cheap but noticeably better - yes, really - than the ones you are using, which are the same as I also had previously 👍👍👍

Firstly, thanks for watching, thanks for buying the towel and thanks for the suggestion on the nozzles. I have definitely been thinking about them, they're pricey but every time I see someone using them I always look at the quality of the spray coming out and I can't help but think I need it in my life 😂

@@SuperchargedLlama I was a bit sceptical to be honest. I tortuously weighed up the cost vs postage and ordered two (15' and 25' - 03 orifice for consumer PWs). The difference these make means that I have decided to keep my battered Nilfisk pressure washer rather than replacing it. The spray is so narrow and powerful that when I caught my finger at the edge of the spray (through sheer idiocy), it caused an immediate blister which hurt for several days. Don't do that; but it does give you an idea of how well the spray is focused. If you tend to use only a single angle nozzle, I'd simply order the equivalent. If you use several, then, yep, will cost you a few quid but you won't regret it. They look nice, too, with the colours and what-not.
@SuperchargedLlama
@SuperchargedLlama 2 жыл бұрын
@@SteveLBMK that is a very good point to make about effectively getting more out of your pressure washer, so you've essentially saved yourself money. That's one way to sell it to myself anyway 😉

You shall not be disappointed with that one. The technique I find that works well in the arches is resting the head on the tyre (so it takes the torque from the water firing out in a different direction).

I definitely need to invest in a longer lance, but I also forgot to put me knee pads in for that one, so it was even worse. I've got appalling posture already so you're right, need to looking after my self a bit more!

Great stuff as always. Are you able to dilute the Malco wheel cleaner? I’ve conducted some testing with the Cartec Wheel Cleaner and I definitely think you should check it out. I’ve got an actual review of it on my channel and an ASMR clip too. As always, keep up the good work mate 👍🏽
@SuperchargedLlama
@SuperchargedLlama 2 жыл бұрын
That's a good question, I suppose everything is dilutable isn't it, but at which point would you lose the efficacy of it? I tend to keep Fast Shot for stuff that I immediately look at and think "this is going to need more than Autowheel", but the idea of carrying less varied products, mixed up in different dilutions definitely appeals, which is why I was eyeing up the KKD (I've got devil's juice which is mega, but that only comes out to play when it's looking terrible - I know some people just go straight in with it, but that's using a hammer to crack a walnut in my opinion). I shall checkout your Cartec video, I've looking to try their polishes at some point, but I've just bought a fair amount of Koch Chemie ones to use, so that will wait.
@jcvdvandd
@jcvdvandd 2 жыл бұрын
@@SuperchargedLlama you are right, you can dilute any product down. I guess my question was more around whether the manufacturer advises whether it can be diluted down. I personally love products that are effective and can be diluted down. I feel like I’m getting more bang for my buck. I’d definitely recommend the Cartec wheel cleaner. 5:1 is your sweet spot (well for me at least). I’ve used Cartec 3000 which is a very good compound. I’m a loyal Koch fan and you cannot beat their polishes/compounds. That being said I need to use some of the other Cartec line which I have in stock haha.

@@jcvdvandd I've checked the label on the Fast Shot and it doesn't mention dilution, so I suspect it's RTU. You definitely could dilute it though, I reckon 50/50 would still be very effective on more lightly soiled wheels. It's quite thick so it clings well, and it could be the best tyre cleaner out there, but it smells horrendous, if you get it in your throat it makes you cough horrendously, I thought I was going to bring a lung up, so I always wear my respirator now.

How come the brake rotors got rusty? When i use Bh aw or af ironout, they dont seem to flash rust🤔
@SuperchargedLlama
@SuperchargedLlama Жыл бұрын
You may have been very skillful in your application of the AW and not got any on the discs? (Which I think are the rotors? We call them brake discs, and that's the brake pads in the calipers...which I think is consistent in terms of naming?). Carbon Ceramic discs don't go rusty, but there aren't too many of them out there.

@@SuperchargedLlama well, honestly i am not hugely experienced regarding the iron removing wheel cleaners - i only went through one bottle of AF iron out and currently using my first bottle of BH aw. Most of the time my discs do get rusty during regular washes, even when i hit them with BH atom mac. But i noticed the bleeding wheel cleaners seem to not promote rust on the discs - on the contrary. They remove it and maybe even leave a little bit of protecting residue. Last time i really detailed my wheels and brakes, i also sprayed at the discs directly, i used 10% surfex hd for basic wash, then autowheel and then 5% atom mac. Maybe there was some BH synergy at play, because this time the discs stayed beatifully silver with not a hint of rust. So, i am not sure frankly. I only use the bleeding cleaners once in while, like every three months or so, they seem kinda expensive to me. So most of the time i just use apc or AF imperial and revolution wheel soap. As i wash quite regularly, my wheels never get really soiled, so no need for heavy duty approach. Oh and regarding discs vs rotors, i am not a native english speaker so i alternate between american and british english pretty randomly, sorry for that haha. Cheers mate

@@SuperchargedLlama no prob, i appreciate the chat. I am still pretty new to this as i only got more serious with detailing some 2 years ago, so i watch a lot of content to soak up as much information as possible from more experienced guys like you are. My biggest issues currently are heavy mineral deposits from our well water and contaminated drying towels that do not absorb water nearly as much as they did when they were new. Rusty brake discs of course are an inconvenience as well, as they soil the nicely cleaned wheels in a minute after take off. Live and learn i guess haha.
