Thank you for all you have done and teaching me to become the best DIY detailer I can and the Mckee's 37 ceramic coating recommendation. :) Best quote of the day.... "When your MTM foam cannon wears out, get an MJJC!" If only that was a paid comment, he would have a couple extra million in the bank from MJJC. That comment was just FACTS!!!! Vibration syndrome is a well documented health hazard and can cause nerve damage to people using tools that vibrate on a regular basis. There are special gloves that help dampen vibration. It's one of the reasons why I switched to a rotary. I love my Flex forced rotation DA but after a few hours of polishing an entire car, the tingling and numbness is worrisome.

Please, please, please start wearing hearing protection immediately, do not wait for Christmas. Not being able to hear your kids 5yrs from now without hearing aids is a far worse fate. Samsung buds pro are $129ish and have ANC, eargasm volume reduction earplugs are $30 and work incredibly well, whilst not blocking out everything. I use both for motorcycle, and polishing sessions. Love watching Yvan work, and he’s such a natural teacher. That way of using iron remover is great, and it’s the only way I use iron remover since learning that from him. Yvan just makes detailing so simple. What a great video to watch and learn from. I am a home based detailer and too and I am always looking for ways to improve efficiency. The DIY line has helped me a ton with improving efficiency and delivering outstanding results. Last count I have five DIY gallon jugs in my garage and to be honest I need three more. I use the corded Flex rotary because corded versions make more torque at lower rpm’s versus battery. The gold standard polish means I do not have to tape off which saves a lot of time. It is also the standard of being pad dependent and I no longer have to carry a cutting compound and a polishing compound. Thank you guys for the video as I have learned a lot of knowledge from you and Yvan!

Hello Chelsea I enjoy your videos and appreciate all the tips you share. I’ve noticed that you discuss a wide variety of products. Since you have experimented with so many, can you please let me know the products you use for the following tasks : - Carpet cleaning - Carpet stain remover - Grease on headliner - Tree sap remover - Tar remover - Water spot remover I also have a few questions: 1. Do you recommend having an ozone machine 2. Can a clay towel be used instead of a clay bar 3. Do you always use an iron remover with every detail Thank you 😊

Maxshine was the smoothest but there was a generic Chinese Rotary that Yvan had that was more powerful than the Maxshine one and I believe more affordable so I’m still shopping around but so far the Maxshine one is number one but if I had a limitless budget I would probably go for the Milwaukee battery powered one because I’m tired of cords.

What a great video Chelsea. I felt like a kid at school listening to the teacher. Asked you a question on your Facebook page today about how to speed up curing time of another brand coating that you'd used recently. If I'm correct , with DIYs coatings I can wait just 2 hours then apply ceramic gloss as a topper then send it. Sounds like a winner

@@diydetailofficial thank you for the reply. As we are in winter here in Australia, the chance of rain in a 24 hour period is high. I'm looking to use coatings that will allow me to apply, have a short cure time and not having to stress if it will rain within a few hours of the client picking the vehicle up. Would cetamic gloss act like a sacrificial layer in this instance whilst the coating is curing underneath or won't it matter? Regards

Deleted my previous comment. I should actually read the video description. :) But, have to say that it's hard to watch a video featuring Yvan where I don't learn something new. I've been looking to get a MaxShine DA to fit my small budget. Aiming at the M8S, but wondering if I should rather check out the M1000 rotary. Rotaries are scary though as one of my vehicles went off for bodywork some years back and the poor thing is still covered in holograms from when they hit it with a rotary buffer. Also such a pity I can't get any Diy Detail products over here. That iron remover with surfactants looks perfect.
@attention2detailswchelsea

That’s a shame because if they had just changed their pad and lowered their speed they could have easily removed those holograms with the same device

Hey Chelsea, Victor from Diamond Shine Detailing. Question for you since you worked with Ivan. I have used rotary before but when finished, noticed I had a whole bunch of streaks from the rotary polisher. What is the proper speed, pressure or technique to use to remove, minimize or not get rotary streaks from a buffer. Thanks for your videos.

Speed 1 and recommend using their jeweling red waffle pad. Arm speed is moderate and only 1 or 2 passes should be necessary. But you may need a black pad if it’s super soft but I’d try the red jeweling pad on speed 1 with their gold standard or optimum hyper polish

Can your products be used by a diy person on a torch red corvette? Or should I use a detail shop? Must I use a clay bar or just two or three back to back washes?
@attention2detailswchelsea
@attention2detailswchelsea 8 ай бұрын
It all depends on your comfort level. They are easy to use products that beginners and Pros are like Love. I highly recommend their clay towel as it’s much easier to use and you only have to wash then do your Decon versus washing your vehicle three times. You’ll still yield better results with less effort with a clay towel versus multiple washes. A Bonded contaminant is a Bonded contaminant, and it needs an abrasive or decontamination to remove it.
