Let me see if I can provide some clarity on common questions. For all intents and purposes, this coating (along with our 5 year Graphene coating) are permanent (as permanent can be - since nothing is permanent including you and me!). Claiming it was permanent would cause quite a stir, so we slap a longevity rating the product. Durability is of course achieved by proper prep and maintenance. If you wash your car with dawn, apply the coating, and then wash it with a brick and furniture polish, then no, it's not going to last 10 years. This coating, along with any coating for that matter, is best maintained by someone that's been educated on proper washing, drying, and coating maintenance. If you're a professional, you should offer some type of maintenance plan with any coating that you install. Washing a coated vehicle is EASY MONEY for you professionals out there. Plus it keeps you engaged with your customer. They will be much more likely to recommend you to friends, family, co-workers, etc. The coating might last 9 years and 11 months for one person, and 10 years and 1 month for another person. It's not like a minute after the 10 year mark it's going to fall off the paint in your garage, and you'll walk out to your car with a pool of graphene coating on the floor. It doesn't work like that. It's not like one day it's there, and the next it's not. It's a SLOW progression that's slowed down by proper maintenance. One thing I've learned in the last 13 years of this profession, is that you can't please everyone. If I said the coating lasted 10 years, 11 months, 12 days, 13 hours, 46 minutes and 13 seconds, someone would argue with me about it. I don't run my business to serve the 1%; McKee's 37 has been successful serving the 99% who trust the name on the bottle, the guy behind the brand (me), and my partner (Bob McKee) who has been in this industry over 40 years. An easy way to run your company into the ground is to focus on pleasing the 1% that cannot be pleased no matter what. That goes for any company, not just detailing. In summary: focus on the big picture and trust the name on the bottle, and the people behind the company. Abuse it with automatic car washes or sheer neglect and nothing will last, not even clear coat which is way thicker. Everything requires maintenance to hold up. This just requires less effort and makes maintenance easier and fun!

Nick, your product line of graphene is awesome. I would love to buy everything you have but no money because I am disabled. I was at a party outside and 4 guys asked me what I used . I lied and said McKee's 37 and brought up the website for them. They bought stuff right there . I don't have anything on my truck I just wash it as much as I can. But it was a plug for you. I go to tons of car shows with my son's and we talk detailing which we get alot work from that. there are so many great coatings that are way more affordable and that also come with everything one needs to coat their car and maintain it. like Gyeon and CarPro complete kits for 100 or less. for this bottle alone in a box to be priced at 200..it would need to come with McKees prep solution,car soap and ceramic topper to be worth it.then definately would be using it

I did this coating on my car this past weekend and it was incredibly easy to put on. It didn't grab once while applying with the sponge or wiping it down with the towels. It flashes so fast I was actually worried I wasn't waiting long enough because like you're showing it's super slick while wiping. Almost like it's still wet, and you can actually push the product around with your towel. And if you want an extra minute it's just as easy to wipe down. It's wild how easy it was. Finally got my car outside today after it cured in the garage all day yesterday, and it's really incredible how good it looks.

U always do a great job from a fellow detailer. How u like those pearl pucks chels? I didn’t really care for them much they tended to kinda bunch up on me and I didn’t like the surface area. For smaller areas they weren’t too bad but for big panels I didn’t like them lol. I much prefer the pearl rectangle applicators or the thin autofiber savers

This coating offers incredible gloss and depth while providing real world protection. In my opinion this is a full fledge professional coating without all the bs some companies try to pull. What are your thoughts on learning PPF on small areas like the piano trim so you can offer customers options of protection? Thank you.

If you have someone in your area who can train you, I would definitely look into PPF. It is some thing that I myself am considering for the future but on some vehicles you need two people and I am a solo run shop. But you can do it by yourself it just will take more time.

This looks promising. I've only used siloxane based coatings so far since they're a little easier to apply. Might try my hand with this one as it doesn't look too intimidating. Question: can I use the same products as toppers/maintenance for standard coatings or do I need graphene based detail sprays etc? Once you go ceramic based you want to stick with ceramics. But you don’t need to use just graphene products on this. You can use anything ceramic-based. Mckees 37 would recommend using their graphene auto wash and graphene Ceramic detailer or graphene wax to maintain it with because chemically they’re going to be very synergistic but you can use something like PhoenixEOD Titan or Technicians Choice Ceramic detail spray if you would like or anything Ceramic based.

Yes, I used stoner glass ceramic coating for the glass, I used Meguiars hybrid paint coating for the wheel faces, and I used the pro-coat for paint trim and headlights

If you use the quadrant wipes, you’ll probably go through 9 to 12 towels total and you use one side per section. That way you don’t run as much of a risk with my spots by smearing product around.

That coating looked great after curing. 10 years? Hmmmm. I don't know about that. Besides, no one keeps their cars that long anymore. Mckee's does make some stellar stuff, though. Before you applied coating, and after you polished, did the paint look alittle..........off? Dull? Or was it just the lighting in the shop? Maybe it was just me. Yes, update durability on Hubby's truck. Cool video.

I think it was just the lighting. But yes I agree you could say a lifetime coating but most people are only keeping their vehicles five years. But even if it’s only five years, I’d be happy with those results.

I soak immediately in apc and water then launder like normal. I inspect after but most I can reuse as long as they are clean and soft about 2-3 times before they get moved to wheels or interiors.

Not knocking the black rhino products, they are very easy to work with, but I found this to be extremely user-friendly, and I prefer rainbowing coatings more and the black rhino coatings sweat more. Some prefer that. It really depends on what you’re looking for. Price point wise you can’t beat the black rhino coatings and I know that for some this would be too expensive but when you average out the potential durability that it offers, it’s very similar in price it’s just more of an upfront investment.

Advise that customer to put clear PPF on those lower piano black exterior panels. Will protect them and prevent future scratching, and add some self-healing properties. 100% I would do that if I owned the car. Looks gorgeous!

It looks like a shadow or smear on the paint. If fresh can be removed but if it cures normally needs a light finger polish to remove

You mentioned the hardness scale -- stating it was Mohs scale. This is incorrect, and false advertisement. I'm sure it was probably just a mistake, or possibly a misunderstanding of the hardness scale. The scale when they are referring to hardness reflects in standard to PENCIL HARDNESS. A mohs scale hardness of 10 would be equivalent to diamond. There's no way you are drying a piece of paint coating and scratching a diamond with it. I actually use a variety of pencils in different hardnesses to test raw lead (crudely), that I use for casting bullets, because other testing methods are pricey.

What do you mean by realistically you'll need to polish before the 10 year durability mark anyways. If this is protecting the Cesar coat why would you "need" to polish? Depends on the client most daily drivers are not looking for car show emaculate paint

$195 is alot. 10 Years is a HUGE claim for a company. Gtechniq Gyeon etc all claim 10 years but I don't buy into it or even tell my customers that. 3,5 and 7 are believable. OTHER then that video was good keep up the good work enjoyed it

I would not recommend that. Most coatings need a bare surface to bond with the clearcoat. The T9 might want to push off the ceramic coating and it wouldn’t bond properly.

Yes a polish at minimum would be required. I removed T3 once and a polish was sufficient. Just make sure to do at least 2-3 passes to ensure it’s off. A water test would be able to reveal if it’s truly removed

There isn't a coating on the market, graphene or ceramic or otherwise, that last more than a one year and maybe a few months in the REAL WORLD. If there is....why is a topper of some sort needed at 3 or 6mos?? If these coatings are as good as they are being talked up to be, whether 1, 2, 5, or even 10yrs, no topping should be needed and a non PH soap is all you should need to keep it clean. These coating look nice but I think its just a temporary shine formula. Let's be honest, who encounters harsh chemicals on their vehicles daily? Road grime and salt is easily taken care of with soap and water.

There are some manufacturers that have their coatings on their own vehicles, and they haven’t topped them and done more than just washing it with a pH neutral soap, and they hold up for years. Undrdog Pro and Bombshell coatings are just a few who have made that claim if I recall and a few more. I prefer to top mine because I use my topper more so as a Drying aid to help reduce swirls as I’m drying it. I’m not leaning on that for the hydrophobics. I’m leaning on the topper for lubricity. But I get it what you are saying. I will be topping my husband’s truck though, because the paint is extremely soft and I need every little bit of lubricity that I can get when washing and drying to try to help reduce swirls. Yes, these coatings claim to have scratch resistance but I’m still gonna do everything I can to try to help prevent them without having to lean solely on the coating because I’m not looking to polish our truck anymore.

@@attention2detailswchelsea Chelsea that's good to hear, I wish more people would tell it like it is and say that ceramic and graphene coatings are not the best thing since slice bread. Yes, they're better than no coating but I wish those who promote or showcase these products would just be up front. Thanks for your insite and reply. 🙂

Isn’t it a 5 yr product? The longest I’ve seen was 8 yr 5yr and 3yr paired up by diy detailing?

This is a 10 yr claim. While skeptical it will last on any daily driver I am testing it myself to see
