I'd love to know how to make the lining for the neck look clean 🤣 I've tried making a full head of lining and it turned out alright, but I sewed the lining to the neck fur with a simple stitch so you can still see the stitches. I don't know if you fully line your heads, but if you do I'd love to see how you do it :) Also, great video! I already knew what to do for complex markings, but there was quite a few tips that'll help me next time ^^

When I made my second fursuit I tried to add little dots to the ears and it did _not_ go well. Thanks to this tutorial I may remedy this mistake in my next suit

Thank you so much for this tutorial, I'm planning on making my first actual fursuit head and felt really confident until I realised that the character I'm making has some stripe patterns. I didn't want anythign to do with spray painting and I'm very glad I found this tutorial. I did some overall tests with some left over fur I had, and it worked amazingly so thank you SO SO MUCH again!

Ah! This is awesome! I’ve been looking for a tutorial like this for ages! This is perfect! Just what I needed! Your timing seriously couldn’t have been better! This week I’m actually starting on my first fursuit. I’m not doing too many details, as it is my first suit. But I am planning on making some pre mades in the future! This is amazing! First, thanks for turning on the comments :D Second, I got a question! I'm in the process of making a protogen suit, and it involves a chest and leg armor, and a few rings that go on the tail, all of them made out of foam. Now the thing I'm asking myself is, how would I attach these to the fur? Or a more generalized question, how would someone attach different props/armor/materials to a suit?
@pixelhammy3 жыл бұрын
You could probably do it similar to a tail, two straps that go through the fur and join together within the suit just would be good sew the straps in at that point so it’s secure and reinforce heavier props
@whoahanant3 жыл бұрын
If you need it to be removable I reccomend magnets. You can sew them on the inside of the suit by sewing pockets for them or just glue them on really well. I'd reccomend looking up cosplay videos here on KZbin to shop around for magnets because you don't want them too weak or too strong and people might reccomend some specific ones. I assume another option is to strap all of it so as not to ruin the fur, unless you don't want it removable but I assume you need it to be removable for washing.

I have a mini idea for you Skye if you already have experience with doing this. Prepping a head base to allow space for a glasses wearer. I don't see it talked about a lot and not everyone can wear contact lenses.
@sillysnaily3 жыл бұрын
I am glasses wearer myself, and no, please do not wear your glasses in suit unless its really ventilated If not - they will cover in fog, and you will see nothing

I am making my own fursuit and it has a lot of technical pieces I need to put in to it and it's a mixture between a wreck Solium and a protogen and the protogen parts are removable to reveal the furry beneath it.

How about a video on which kinds of tape works best for patterning a head! Theres a big of an argument about that.some say parcel, some say duct, some say masking and frog tape recently jumped in headlong too for the uk makers.

It is easy! Cut a large scrap! Then cut a small detail you want on the fur. Then add it ! Back side on all of this! Use hot glue

My cheek marking tends to basically be part of the linework of my drawings. Would it be possible to stitch it in via colored yarn if that makes sense 🤔 i need to learn sewing language LOL (its probably even easier except idk how thatd work with fur)

Can you use hot glue on your fursuit head?
@Arlecchino__father3 ай бұрын
You use hot glue for the base, but Instead of sewing you technically can, but it’s not recommended because your seams will look very mess and it’s just better to sew so you get a cleaner finish on your suit But I know lots of makers glue the full fur onto the foam base with hot glue but just be careful so you suit isn’t lumpy
