Ma please if I don’t want to add that side dart to my pattern after sewing will the length match with back length Like won’t the front panel be longer?

If you didn’t close up the side darts, the front length will be longer than the back length.

The rule/line from the shoulder to your bust point can play a great role when doing the dart manipulation or contouring. Check out my next video on how to make a corset for more practical details.

You can use any bust measurement to achieve same result, just substitute your bust measurement with the one I used.

I want to ask, the 0.75" you deducted from the waist line on the back bodice for zip tightening, you did not replace it. Will it not affect the measurements? 🤔🤔🤔

There’s no need replacing it because the aim of removing 0.75 or 0.5 inch is to help shape the back because the human back is not straight. this will also help the Zip to relax well on the body and it will not affect your measurements.

You’re to go down by 1.5 or 2inches from your bust point line depending on the difference in your back and front shoulder to waistline measurements.
