When I built my PC almost a year ago I used the pig tail connectors on the GPU without thinking too much about it. Recently I learnt that that little mistake was the reason I kept getting game crashes and my GPU completely shutting down without apparent reason. Also the PSU was kind of shitty but the cables also didn't help. Almost burnt my 3070 Ti because of a bad PSU. Always buy good PSUs and connect them the best possible way

I have a phanteks NV9 case with their own D-RGB controller. You can control all the RGB fans on the case with a button. I prefer that so I don’t have to install and manage another RGB software. My question is: do I have to run a cable from the controller to the MB is this specific scenario? Again I do not want my MB to control the RGB on the fans. I have all the fans/case lighting ran to the hub and SATA power to the PSU. Is that all I need to do in my system?

Question for wiring Lian li lancool ii mesh performance case, crosshair viii extreme mobo, and 5950x. Do I need to use all of the cpu power slots on the mobo, or just one of the 2? (There are 2 8pin slots), also: on the mobo, under the psu connector there is a 6pin pcie slot. Do I need to wire this to the psu? I'm assuming it provides power to any pcie components I add, like usb c connections?

Here's my build guide for the H6 Flow - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKWvlHaYq7ire9k But you're right, it doesn't look like your motherboard has USB-C.

I did and I followed all the steps. Unfortunately my build was not succesful. The motherboard (Asus Z790-H Gaming Wifi) displays a constant red light. Only 1 fan of the 3 additional top fans work. The GPU (Nvidia 3060TI)won't display an image on an external monitor and the PC only powers up and off when I shut down the PSU and not the powerbutton on the case. The PSU was a nightmare and no manual was provide besides a one-page warning (?). Phanteks AMP¨V2 1000W/. Going crazy here 😞@@TheProvokedPrawn

Some don't. If that's the case I'm afraid you just can't have usb-c from the front of your case

I'm so confused about SATA connectors! I have my B650M K motherboard from Gigabyte and I'm trying to get it wired up with the thermaltake 600w smart series PSU and it has SATA 6 pin connectors. Do I need to connect those? Do I need to replace my PSU? Could you recommend a PSU that can pair with the 5500XT 8gb (400w recommended)

What about a USB 3.1 gen 2 connector? My Asus Z390 E strix motherboard has one, and I have no idea what to plug into it!

If your PC case has a 3.1 Gen 2 port, you would plug into that on the board. If not, you leave it empty.
