Things I like about my Cuisinart k-cup coffee maker: • The water heats up AMAZINGLY QUICKLY to brew coffee! Things I do not like: • It splatters coffee droplets EVERYWHERE. (An extra drip tray to raise a standard, ceramic coffee cup closer to the dispenser would help with this.) • I would prefer separate buttons for the ounce levels rather than going through a menu. (I love using my coffee maker for hot water for oatmeal, cream of wheat, Ramen noodles, soup, etc.; but I hate when I accidentally forget to change the ounce level and make a very WEAK cup of coffee that overflows the cup.) • If you don't sit the water tank on the machine correctly, then water will leak out everywhere around the counter. (Like you, we now use a pitcher to fill up the tank.) • Like you, I thought that I broke the lift handle the first time I used the machine. I still think it's a design flaw.

I brew on the extra hot because adding milk or cream reduces the temp of my cup of coffee. FYI. Prior to this one I had the model with no display and the 48oz water tank and it lasted me well over 10+ years until the piercing apparatus broke off. It truly is a fanatic k-cup coffee maker that in my opinion rivals an original Keurig machine. Note: I also broke the lid off when I was cleaning the reusable filter too. Oh well. Be gentle you newbies.

Thx for the review the Keurig single serve machine i bought at christmas already broke down on me. I was descaling for the first time and now the machine wont turn back on hope this one last me a long time

The same exact thing happened to me after desalination, my Keurig! Peice of CRAP that Keurig was! Waste of money! Love this Cuisinart coffee maker! Had it for over a year and have descaled it a few times now and it's a CHAMP!!

Thank you! I bought this one at bed bath, it did not have the holder for the K cups. I was super confused, called cuisinart who told me to return to BBB. What an environmental waste. But still did not understand, replacement came with the K cup holder. Mostly I fill my own, I found compostable paper filters on Amazon so I can put in compost bucket.

@@JustADad I still have and will always have my VPR series Bunn which is great for instant hot water for making coffee, tea, oatmeal, whatever takes hot water. I just got tired of having to pour half a pitcher of water into it just to make a single cup of coffee. I got this new machine setup last week and it is perfect for a single cup! Almost zero time from turning it on to ready to go, thank you again for your insights.

I’ve went thru every step. After I pic the time for the click and auto off the and pick when I want it to brew it just won’t go on. It keeps saying to add water! I have the reservor filled to the max fill. . It will not brew! What am I doing wrong? Help

Thanks for this. I just got one of these and after watching your video I'm disappointed to learn the auto feature doesn't automatically brew me a cup of coffee for when I wake up! 😩

I agree, anytime the manufacture says the word auto, people think, including me that it will auto brew a cup of coffee. Its a little misleading, Keurig is the same way with its more expensive K cup machines. They say automatic but it just turns the machine on at a certain time to get it up to temperature. thanks for Watching and Glad it helped!!!

Thanks for the information. I have this exact one and have a problem. The 8 oz is no longer dispensing 8 oz but rather 5 oz. Any suggestions to fix this problem? As well, I have cleaned the needles (coffee grounds found on top of the K cup) and descaled it.

Thanks for this video. I been racking my brain. Why doesn't it brew the coffee went you set it in the morning. It just turns on doesn't brew. Now I no. I wish it did for the money I paid.

The difference (and my dislike) with this to Keurig is that it doesn't "pre-heat" the water at all, and is simply an instant-on and for me does not make hot enough water. Mine literally IMMEDIATELY dispenses water once you hit the brew button.

Have you found after 6 months that this machine is reliable? What problems or issues if any have you encountered since?

This is a very reliable machine if you take care of it. Clean the needles on a regular basis at least monthly and descale it before the machine tells you to about every 3 or 6 months. Also run fresh water rinsed through it at least every week with no k cup in it. Some viewers have had problems with theirs, i am not sure how many but Cuisinart usually makes some nice products.

We stopped removing the water tank and simply fill it up with a pitcher of water. If you don't put the water tank back in place JUST SO, then it leaks everywhere.

If you grind your own coffee with a decent grinder you can get FAR less grounds (fines) in your coffee

@@JustADad Great in depth video! Your temp measurements are little cooler than mine. If I measure the temp of the water being dispensed, mine varies between 185 and 193 degrees on Xhot using either the brew or hot water buttons. Of course a ceramic mug is going to cool off any coffee, so I usually heat my mug up with a bit of hot water first. The final cup of coffee brewed on mine is about 185 degrees. For the sediment, that's going to be a personal preference. Just like french press will have sediment as well. These are some really nice coffee makers!

Yeah I was taken back when I first saw sediment but the more I read and the more I taste coffee with sediment it seems to taste better with sediment. The temperature checks are so hard to do. thanks for understanding. I am not sure what people most want to see the temperature you end up with in your coffee cup or what is coming out of the brewer. both seem important. thanks again for the feedback
