@@Tinvaak there are many ways to keep outdoor concrete from spalling and cracking.

@@Tinvaak I have planters that are outside. They are never holding water. They do just fine. If you allow ANY water to soak in it will absolutely destroy ANY concrete. Years of concrete contract work under my belt. That is why we put down plastic, heavy plastic and stone under concrete pads. Cheers.

@@Tinvaak waterproofing or paint, but like you said the cost. Will be experimenting with stirocrete. Styrofoam chipped into concrete instead of rock.

Gray like a pot before painting. Well, it's OK to paint it white or another color, but not 3 colors at the same time... Besides, the chosen colors are strong. Could be halftones...? Or, for example, the color of the stairs in front of which the pot is installed - 12:30. This is my opinion :) To each his own :)
