What’s your thoughts on tank size for mobile. Guy who does mine has a 250g but he’s got a full enclosed trailer set up. For something hidden in the back of the truck under a roll n lock. How many gallons do you normally go through in a day ballpark. His tank seems way bigger than necessary ( new to all this. Thinking of starting my own business) thanks man
@imjoshv4 жыл бұрын
I typically do 2 details a day and each one takes 20-25 gallons. I just run a 50 gallon tank! You have to keep in mind that at 8 lbs per gallon the guy with the 250 gallon tank is adding 2000lbs to his vehicle!!! Even on a trailer, that is very heard in transmission and brakes! I would go 100 max. But I really like my 50!

Awesome work.. what would you recommend to get water spots off from exterior.thanks.
@imjoshv4 жыл бұрын
Water spots can be tough depending on how bad they are. Chemical guys has a water spot remover product but I’ve never tried it... water spots can etch in and damage the paint if they are bad enough. I typically clay and compound it to break down the top layer and go from there.

After cleaning the weather tech mats, you use water based dressing - maybe I missed it, but do you use it while the mat is still wet, then you wipe it off? I’m trying to get my own “dressed” so to speak but am afraid of getting them all slick. I look forward to your videos!!
@imjoshv4 жыл бұрын
I dry the mats and then apply the dressing. I recommend aerospace 303 (it’s linked in the description) then make sure to complete run it in with a microfiber towel and let dry. They might still be a little slick but that dissipates and leaves the looking great
@CaitlinSoma4 жыл бұрын
IMJOSHV - Car Detailing and Reconditioning Tips ohhh thank you so much!! I’ve been using megs to as my car dressing but have been itching to get the 303, so this will be great. Also, I appreciate you responding to comments. My golden retrievers were famous on IG (28k followers), and I tried to respond to each and every comment. When you started pointing out about the amount of dirt I thought this vehicle was either a Jeep or a car with convertible and then with the wider look I noticed it was a Hyundai. Then, it made to make me kind of scense and thought "ok, the car must have been driven a lot without A/C, open windows and opened sunroof" and noticed it had no sunroof. Wow, How could that car had so much dirt inside? Excellent job! 5K finally about to come and 6k and so on👍👍👍 You had a trick there removing the stain from that seat in the back, it was your elbow push🤣🤣 One of the things I have done before or instead using the iron decon mit is to use a paint fallout product like AM Details iron or Bilt and Hamber's Korrosol and basically no need to use the mit. Xoxo from Puerto Rico 👍🇵🇷

Haha thanks!!! I don’t use iron remover that much... I just bought some iron x and will be using it more. Thanks for the feedback

No stain left behind! After I threw up a little in my mouth at the beginning and got past the shock that sunflowers weren't growing out of the rear floorboards, I really got sucked into your process and the results you get from it. Do you feel confident at this point that no matter how disgusting the car is at the start, that you can work your magic with your products and process and get a good result from them?
@imjoshv4 жыл бұрын

I want to understand something. Why every time you (not only you, all men detailers channel included) are doing a woman’s car detail you make sure to put in on the title but when it’s a man’s car you just put the regular detailing a dirty car? Why’s that? Kinda sexist no? It’s not specific to your channel, I’ve seen this in every detailer I’ve watched. Just wondering why is so important to show is a “girl’s” car.
@imjoshv4 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for reaching out. Honestly it is just keyword optimization so that the video gets seen. I actually did feel strange listing it that way, but it is a proven keyword phrase that gets views... I definitely don’t mean to be rude or sexist about it and can see how that does come off.
@sand38823 жыл бұрын
@@imjoshv , but you haven't changed the titles. You can get a similar result by using hashtags for girl, woman, man dude, etc. Great job on the car though.
