incorporate using a vortex or tornador air tool to blow debris out of cracks,under seats,speeds the process up

ALWAYS use OEM floor mats or floor mats that lock into the factory holes in to carpet, just make sure it locks in place and doesn’t slide around. otherwise it can catch your gas pedal and hold it down i’ve had it happene to me but toyota doesn’t have any more floor mats for my model

I really need a better vacuume. I pay to use the ones at the car wash and it doesn't suck everything up. There's all the little grooves that are filled with rocks and other crap. I can still see hair stuck on the ground, and the worst is (like this car) I have a dark interior so EVERYTHING shows, which is super annoying. I'm never buying a dark interior vehicle again. I'll try hooking up my home vacuume with a similar extension and using a toothbrush for the smaller spaces. Might even try that brush attachment. Thanks for the video!

I 12 Boyd scratching plastic trims with the vacuum crevice tool, all you have to do is take pieces of masking tape and tape the edges. That’s what I do and I don’t have a problem scratching plastic trims. Only downfall to it is that after every three or four jobs you know you might have to switch the masking tape or replace it. I’ve personally use kamikaze masking tape

Try blowing the interior out with air it makes it soooo much easier. Also get the analan pet hair remover. It is the bomb !

Why do you use the crevice tool on large flat areas? I find it faster do just use the bare vacuum hose end with no attachment because that way have a larger hose opening to grab more/larger dirt from the upholstery. I only the crevice tool for crevices.

Great video and tips, following your methods to start my business! quick question. Do you clean the carpets with your full interior detail service? I ask because I normally only see you record the seats and floor mats. I’m debating if I should include floor mats, carpets and seats under same package. How long would that take you? Any advise would help

For a full interior, yes I would. If they only get a quick interior detail I only do the hard surfaces i.e doors, dash, steering wheel, center console, cup holders, and just a quick vacuum. For a full interior I’ll also include seats, carpet, floor mats, and upholstery if they have any staining

The vacuum is one of the most important tools for detailing a vehicle in my opinion. As you said, just vacuuming a vehicle and cleaning out the trash makes it look far better without doing anything else. Being just a weekend detailing enthusiast, a great quality vacuum is my most important tool. Vacuuming is an absolute must to keeping a vehicle interior in top notch condition and the first thing I do in an interior detail after any debris or trash is thrown away. I have went through 4 or 5 vacuums of all types over the past 20+ years detailing my vehicles from expensive household type vacuums to low quality shop vacs to decent shop vacs, and everything in between. I was always unsatisfied with the suction power. I finally broke down and paid what some people would think is a crazy amount of money for a really good vacuum. It was the best purchase I ever made as far as detailing my cars. Expensive YES. Worth it.....Oh, hell YES!

I have the Numatic GEORGE vacuum. The George is also a carpet/upholstery extractor which is fantastic because you can also use it to clean your carpets. The suction is very good on this machine and it's a great machine for car detailing which is what I am currently using it for. Having both a great vacuum and one that does carpet extraction when I need to do an interior detail is great. The machine quickly changes over from vacuum to carpet extractor as they send you all the pieces for both functions!! It's an expensive machine but in the long run, it's well worth it. This machine is built to last for many years of service to you. The company sells a lot of industrial machines for the cleaning industries (Hotels, Businesses, Office cleaning, etc.) so the machines are built for heavy duty use.

Well written. The George is $630 up to $900 AU depending. Just curious which model? I've got the $1000 AU Festool CTM MIDI E FS (576740) 1200W 15L M Class Dust Extractor. For the workshop to use with Festool tools. Yesterday was the first time I used it to vac the car. So much better than cheap and expensive household vacs. But I'll have to compare the specs on the Numatic GEORGE vacuum with it.
