Detailing a Dirty Daily, a winter detail on this not so white Mercedes Benz C class.

It's been a little while since I have uploaded but I'm back with a good old school car cleaning video ripping through months of winter grime. detailing high end cars is good fun but some times it's just the car washing that I do really enjoy.
Here I started by cleaning the wheel with Auto Finesse Iron Out along with a mixture of wheel cleaning tools. Iron Out was used as a deep clean to prep the wheels for a layer of mint rims wheel wax later in the detail. The arches were cleaned with an all purpose cleaner and a mixture of brushes.
Next the vehicle was rinsed down with the Kranzle K10 to release as much grime as it could. This was followed by a good coat of Auto Finesse Citrus Power. As you can see from the video this really worked a treat after being rinsed again! Next in the wash stage the two bucket wash method was used with a pH neatural shampoo along with the Microfibre Madness incredipad XL. Raved about by Matt over at Obsessed Garage. I'm unsure on the thickness of the middle sponge. More testing needed....
the lowers where completed with an Auto Finesse Noodle mitt. Finally once last rinse.
Next it was apparent the car needed chemically decontaminating. this was done with Auto Finesse Iron Out and ObliTarate. Really brought back gloss and clarity to the white German paint work! With one final rinse the paint was then dried with a mixture of Finale and the Aqua Deluxe drying towel. A combination not to be messed with!
With the car now dry I dressed the honey comb front grills and wheel arches with Auto Finesse Dressle. This done now so that I can mop up any over spray with the polish and wax a bit later.
The polish and wax combo on this detail was Auto Finesse Tripple and Illusion. Tripple cleaned and shined the paint whilst Illusion was quick and simple to lay down with great wet look results. At this point I also used Mint Rims to wax the wheels.
Finally the tyres where given a light sheen with Dressle and the glass cleaned by the much revered Auto Finesse Crystal. The world's best glass cleaner, as said by Mitch at the detail Geek channel! Go check out his channel.

I'm always a bit cautious of doing decon work. I like to spray my iron remover over the car, then spread with a microfibre applicator, leave to react and then rinse. With a tar remover I spray the car and then rinse - does going over with a microfibre cause any marring or scratches?

I use Williams Racing Wash & Wax. First I spray water on each body panel, then spray the wash & wax on the microfibre cloth to clean each body panel, and finally buff it off with a clean microfibre cloth. It does look shiny, clean and takes approx 30 mins. However, there's a lot of swirls! What are your thoughts on this procedure? I have a white BMW 1 series.

I love auto finesse that’s all I have ever used on my mini cab it’s covered over 300k now and it still looks stunning I’m the sun light although it could do with some auto finesse rejuvenate and a good layer of protection added now to see it through the winter months.

Not necessarily. The bulk of contamination on this car was iron fall out with minimal tar spots. Once this was done it was very smooth. Also the hand polished used worked as a cleaner polish also. The only time I would same it's 100% necessary to clay is prior to machine polishing. Clay bar some only be used when needed. Not Everytime you polish your car. Joe
