Dave, as a lover of many things Turtle Wax especially that paste - good choice and good work! Car looks sooo good. Sorry you couldn't get the ceramic on but obviously the timing has to be right for it. Meanwhile u r doing 👌🏼 with your second choice. Am curious...what polish/compound(?) and buffing pad did u use? It did a nice job.

Thanks dude! Yeah I’m a huge TW fan as well!! So I used a Rupes fine cut yellow pad and the medium (yellow) compound, I find it works the best for 90%+ paint corrections 😃👍🏻

Hi, so the paint is holding up pretty well considering I haven’t given it any more wax since I made this video but I did machine polish it quite heavily when I first got it to get rid of all the imperfections like you seem to have e had as well! It does need another machine polish and proper ceramic coat but the garage is too cold to do it now 😂

No worries, the polish was by Rupes and is their fine cut (yellow cap) 👍🏻 It’s usually that or turtle wax one and done compound that I use 😃

I don't rate that turtle wax at all for longevity, give a great shine but didn't last long

Yeah it’s only designed to last around 3-4 months, anything longer than that and you are looking for a ceramic or sealant. I used it just to get me thru the winter, plan is to ceramic coat it in the spring 😃👍🏻

What kinda tape do you use for the masking mate?

I use detailing tape from slimsdetailing.co.uk dude, but tbh, any masking tape will do the job! Trick is to just now let it sit on the plastics for any longer than it has to i.e. remove it as soon as the polish has been removed 👍🏻
