You forgot the bit where you have to now dry the inside of the Cab, as Land Rovers are only good at keeping oil out! 😆
@raygale41983 жыл бұрын
I find leaving the transmission cover off helps with cabin draining, it also lets you verify true ground speed when your Landys speedo gets the wobbles.
@BowdensOwn3 жыл бұрын
@Ray Gale, the land speed would be a lot more accurate than the speedo as well!

Great video and great car! I’d love to know more about the Currumbin park. Where was it?
@BowdensOwn3 жыл бұрын
Mum and Dad bought it as an abandoned and run down banana farm in the mid seventies, they did the old Qlder up (which still stands) and then got a neighbours farm dozer and had all the farm trails redone to open as a 4x4 tourist attraction. He even held a few off road race meetings there too! I have posted the video from the Leyland Brothers visit on the park here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5WrlWSYa9mkaKM :)

Question: In the rinse bucket - hot/warm water or cold? I’ve always done hot water which is then topped off with cold water from the tap to make it cool enough not to boil your hand. I asked this as a friend was around and he was amazed I used hot water in my suds. I’m watching your videos it’s never mentioned and always appears to be cold water straight from the outdoor hose. Follow-up question is would hot water affect the product/detergent in a negative manner? Just come across your products and slowly building up to collection - I’ve enjoyed the Instructional videos and webpages plus it is fantastic to know it’s Australian made.

Hi Stephen, I don't really see any real benefit, other than if you have a very oily car as the warmer water will work better for the removal of the oil residue - something which the old Land Rover could qualify for! Other nicety is the washing in winter is a bit more comfortable as well.

Which pressure washer was used here Dan. Loved this video
@BowdensOwn2 жыл бұрын
This was the SP Tools/ AR Blue 160RLW pressure washer here Mitch, which is good for us with its 1/4" quick connect lance, to the stubby lance we needed for the 4wd under guard cleaning.

Nice! What’s the make and model of the pressure washer in the video?
@BowdensOwn3 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, using a AR Blue / SP Tools SP160RLW Jetwash here, which we used in this video to have the little custom stubby lance to get under the guards better. You can find a guide we have on pressure washers here: www.bowdensown.com.au/guides/how-to-use/exterior-care/selecting-a-pressure-washer/

Love the videos 🤣👍 Could you use the mega snow job in the contact wash if you want to help remove old sealants?
@BowdensOwn3 жыл бұрын
They would have to be very old to work there, it will affect/ remove organic carnauba waxes though, but the grouping of ingredients we used were chosen more for the dirt and grime over removing synthetic sealants or coatings which we did not want to affect. We are long term testing the Mega SnowJob and Orange Agent combo currently though, as we have a few concerns where it could be too strong for some people/ surfaces with longer term negative effects. The lab testing doesn't show us everything there, so we need to keep using it over and over for months on end in different environmental conditions to see if we can say yes or no to it. Hope that helps!

How does it go on Static grime after driving in rain? Would be cool to move away from nerta if it works for my trucks as I use your products for everything else
@BowdensOwn3 жыл бұрын
Hi LS, its ok, but that is the hardest to remove of everything. Very strong chemicals can do it, with many truck foaming washes getting there by being a lot stronger with alkaline corrosive pH's getting up towards 13.0 (the scale only goes to 14!) It's too aggressive in our opinion, so not something we wanted to have for people potentially damaging their vehicles with over the short or long term.

Damn, I just bought yellow snow!
@BowdensOwn3 жыл бұрын
The Yellow Snow is a great formula, a special edition that is pretty close to what the new updated Snow Job is going to be later this year. It's still the go to for regular weekly use, as it's gentler pH neutral blend and ideal where you don't need a stronger wash like the new Mega Snow Job. All nice and fancy !!! However what about the lawn and environment all these chemicals have to go some where .????
@BowdensOwn3 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin and thanks for the comment. It's why we ensure our chemists make this and our others formulas environmentally friendly and biodegradable. Being surfers and avid lovers of Australia we are not fans of anything bad going into our soil and waterways. www.bowdensown.com.au/mega-snow-job

That wasn't even dirty fellah, I'd like to see it on an actual dirty 4x4. Not a hater but seriously let's see it work as stated

All good Benji, that's as dirty as we ever get the old Landy after a weekend of off-roading round here! Check our live Instagram story out right now, (before it goes in 12 hours) we did a 4x4 yesterday with a bit of heavier mud on it. Others have shared a couple similar in the last week with us there as well, but no matter what we will show, the single best thing is to give it a go yourself too to make your own assumptions here, be sure to do make a video for here as well when you do ok. :) instagram.com/bowdensown/
