Phil been a lurker on your channel for many years now. I have always appreciated your honest and transparent approach to documenting your work on KZbin. I knew for a while you were contemplating leaving KZbin, and I can understand that and why. With that in mind, I appreciate you continuing your work here on this platform, and for just being an honest reviewer of products and realistic in your approach. You never talk down to viewers, never push any products, you just show what works and what doesn't. For some of us DIYers? That means a lot. Just wanted you and your Wife to know, We Appreciate You.👍

I love my Olights and use a Perun 2 headlight. It’s larger but it can REALLY pump out some lumens and last forever. I wear it with the provided head strap but hold it by hand at times too. I have a charging bracket mounted on the wall in the garage so it’s always fully charged and has a dedicated home.

Well, after 6 years I've decided to hang it up. I'm finished after the end of October. I was hoping to get more into restoration type details on older vehicles and stop relying on the volume but it's not happening and I don't want to do multiple vehicles per week anymore. Just turned 60 in February and don't have the enthusiasm.

Hey Phil, what's your stance on micro fibers post ceramic coating? Do you toss them? Or do you wash them and reuse?
@MirandaDetailing3 ай бұрын
I soak them and wash them and use them again for paint but not for coatings. I always use new towels for coatings. But as long as they are soft I’ll use them for polish wipe off.
@tonythetonester52233 ай бұрын
How did you feel the first wipe off and then second wipe with second towel? I use Carpro UK3.0 follow with Carpro Gliss or Gyeons Mohs and follow with gyeons skins. Yet the first coat I always find is much harder to wipe even with to towels compare to second coat.
@MirandaDetailing3 ай бұрын
Hi. The first wipe felt a little tacky at first but the second towel wipe was smooth, no perfectly slick, but the slickness came after a few hours. I don’t layer coatings anymore. I find that layering coatings always gave me issues with wiping off. I only use single layer coatings now.

Phil... a quick question... I detailed and ceramic coated a 2024 Mustang GT with GTechnq CSL and Exo. The owner has a supply of Ethos Resist that he uses on his daily driver and the "spousal transport unit". Can he use Resist as a topper once the coating fully cures, or should he use Gtechniq C2?

Hey Phil. I'm in the process of detailing my cousin's 1985 Trans-Am. The exterior was a breeze, but the interior, however... I mistakenly put some Super Clean on a detailing brush and now the area where it was used is splotchy. Do you have a recommendation of what I can do to rectify this? Please advise!!
@MirandaDetailing2 ай бұрын
Hi. Yeah plastics like that are old and delicate. Try using a damp towel with just water and wipe over those areas again. I don’t use super clean for interior plastics, it’s too strong and can stain them if they are old or delicate. You may have to use a dressing or even plastic coating to restore it if it stained it permanently.
@chelsabailey10182 ай бұрын
@MirandaDetailing Thank you, Phil! Will try that. The Super Clean thing was an accident. Meanwhile, is there an APC that you'd recommend to use on older car interiors? Would Maguiar's Interior Cleaner or the Turtle Wax Interior Cleaner suffice? Please advise. Thanks!
@MirandaDetailing2 ай бұрын
@chelsabailey1018 I use P&S express interior and I also have a natural apc from this company that works incredibly well. www.bioworxauto.com/product-page/bioworx-all-purpose-cleaner-concentrate-gallon

Love the channel and the process you do. I recently applied a coating to my black car and used the nsp45 before coating. About a week later I now am seeing a couple spots that look like almost dim or are slightly white. Could this be from accidentally applying too much of the nsp and not wiping everything off before coating?
@MirandaDetailing3 ай бұрын
Oh weird. Maybe it could be that. What was the coating?
@CharlieT703 ай бұрын
DIY 8 year. I had applied it to another of my cars a couple months ago but didn’t get the nsp before I had applied it and this was the first car I used nsp on
@MirandaDetailing3 ай бұрын
That’s strange. Could be a high spot?
@CharlieT703 ай бұрын
I had thought that but it is a couple larger spots where I started the application and it had come out a lot faster than expected so I just spread it as much as I could but I knew it was too thick still and was grabby when wiping it off before coating and had used a couple towels when leveling coating. I was in a hurry that day so anything is possible

@@MirandaDetailing thnx but I was talking about the product you use to enhance the paint before the ceramic coating. Those products are just to enhance or is the same as paint correction.
@MirandaDetailing3 ай бұрын
Those are primer polishes from Dr Beasley’s. You could use them to actually do a paint correction if you pair them with the right pads. For this service I only needed to remove about 50% of the swirls, which is our version of a paint enhancement. Check this out kzbin.info/www/bejne/aICUe2SjeZyAn6s
