I have an ArtPlast Trolley. It’s excellent for detailing. Highly recommend it. The steel wheels make it incredibly easy to manoeuvre on rough terrain and it’s not noisy like other metal frame trolleys.

This is exactly what I needed to see, when I needed to see it. I'm not a professional but I am taking more and more interest in maintaining my own vehicles. Detailing does take me too long and I see now that I just needed to refine my tactics and strategy. And all of yours make a lot of sense to me. Thank you again and again!!!

"A quick detail on a fairly clean car" I can see that and I will try it tomorrow. I have a fairly clean High Country truck. It seems to me that if I finish too fast the customer might feel like it's not done well. It usually takes about 3 hrs on a fairly clean truck. I will go for 1.5 hours. Good video.❤

I use multi mitt or towels, snow foam and than wash car. Or one mitt and hose down the mitt between panels. My bucket is for dirty microfiber now. Great tips.

Good vid, need to try some of these. Washing a 7 seat SUV takes me ages to get done properly - citrus prewash, BH foam, hand wash, dry, quick detailer, glass and tyre dressing. Seems to take forever!

Two buckets method is not necessarily an old method but it is more of liking. In my case, I like using more ONR with the Big Red Sponge or with the Black Sponge, and depending also I use lots of mits on a single bucket and use the other bucket just to gather them so they don't get into the floor.

It works very well. I can dry my car in 10 min no problem after flood rinsing it. I just use the end of my garden hose usually. Might try it with the pressure washer next time with the nozzle taken out like Matt done. While i haven't used the lance for my hand wash soap i think i will finally give it a go. Its been something i thought of many times. Lots of people do it. I never did get into the 2 bucket thing. I basically use 3 or 4 mitts in one bucket and pressure wash the mitts has i go if i need to use one mitt over hopefully all dirt is blasted out. The 2 bucket method makes me cringe lol I try to wash carefully but i'm not over the top. It will get swirls and thats why i have 3 polishers. :)

I’ve been trying to find a suitable quick wash process for a while, what I’ve found successful is TFR sprayed from pump sprayer over lower sections, snow foam (usually bilt hamber auto foam) with 10ml of surfex HD in the bottle over the top, rinse then multi mitt wash with gtechniq wash then gyeon wet coat to finish. I find that gives good results and can easily be done in 30-45mins

Autoglym instant tyre dressing is an awesome product. It takes seconds to apply. Leaves a glossy wet look. It means you don’t have to waste time drying the tyres. It lasts a few weeks and leaves them with a hydrophobic coating

Good Ideas, all , but unfortunaely won't work in my shop. I have disaster detail after disaster detail I have zero maintenance details at this present time. I need to put a package together with pricing for follow ups. Any tips on putting those retail packages together? I need to get my retractable hoses and cords set up. It's seems like I spend forever dodging cords and hose on the ground~ :)

I wash my own car. Never took to car wash. I use chemicals guys and jax wax snow foam. I use iK foamer to put P&S brake buster for wheels and tire and separate spray bottle in handy with P$S brake buster. Leaf blower for drying car. I rinse, foam ,rinse and then foam and use 2 baskets. Works great. Using for years.

Quality content and some great ideas! Like the idea of multiple snow foam bottles especially for wheels and shampoo. Single bucket /multiple wash mits would probably be a time saver too and presumably as paint friendly as 2 buckets?

Awesome! Thank you!

I find the multiple towel method much more efficient as I dont have to keep coming back to the wash bucket to clean our my wash media, you can just get in and get it done.

I think, ultimately, if you want to save time in the long run then do it right in the first place. Absolute top to toe decon of the whole car, machine polish if it's needed and then ceramic coat the living shit out of every single part of the car - wheels, plastic trim, tyres, wheel arches, glass, paint. Everything! Maintenance detail takes half an hour tops then. Especially if you use a snow cannon, spray on rinse off top coat like Autobrite ceramic magiseal to finish off and then a water dry.

Autoglym state for the Polar Seal it should only be put on the car once a month, any reason why? Does it make much of a difference on a polished and waxed car?

Hi there. Quick question. How long should a professional full valet take. I know it depends on the condition and size of the car, but just curious. It takes me around 5.5-6.5 hours on a large quite dirty car. My boss says I need to speed up. These tips will certainly help. Thank you.
@ashterfadgadget8173 жыл бұрын
On a large car - assuming you have all the stuff you need to hand - then 4 - 4 1/2 hours sounds reasonable to me. If you take any more time off that, you're cutting corners, which might save you time but the result won't be that good and maybe the customer won't come back.

Bilt hamber auto wheels for me
@matthewgibb26403 жыл бұрын
here's what works for me and should for everyone. Eliminate the buckets altogether. high pressure rinse any mitts/wheel brushes as it does a far better job than a rinse bucket ever could. Then use multiple or several wash mitts or towels to wash the car rather than one mitt as it eliminates the need for bucket rinsing or high pressure rinsing the mitt after every 1 or 2 panels and you induce way less swirl marks over time. Once you've done a panel with one side of a mitt and a second with the other side, that mitts done, grab another, soak it and go. A pump pack of 1 - 2 litres with double the amount of shampoo than normal or Optimum No Rinse to wash the car is a far more efficient way than filling buckets, rinsing mitts and bending your back to dunk in and out of buckets. also SIO2 breaks down quite easily with UV exposure and if you use more than a tiny amount, some smear like mad. SIO4 silica is better and wont smear like the other. Spray on rinse off products IMHO are not that good really, their being diluted by the water, your better applying them once the cars dry even if it's slower. IMO quick detailers and interior/exterior dressings are obsolete, polishing exterior trim with my all in one cleaner/polish/coating that I make for the smooth exterior trim and also trim specific coatings are a far better longer lasting option. Rinseless wash like ONR/Mckees etc and good spray sealants replace QD's and do so many more things. to understand why to eliminate the buckets, watch this. credit goes to Damian that I've known for 20 plus years from here in Australia for developing the zero bucket method that I used for years until eliminating the use of soaps altogether. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWe4eXqPqtZ6idE
