Thanks to all for making this video series happen. It is great to hear different views and hear the WHY. I am a strong believer that if someone gains the knowledge as to WHY they use a paticular product or follow a particular process, they start to truly understand what's what. Keep up the conversations.

I totally agree on the WHY and say that a lot in my videos. Because if you don't understand WHY you're doing something, WHY would you do it?

I love it how you teach the customers how to maintain their washes with your coatings or even after getting a detail from you. After all, it is completely pointless to have a few thousand into a fully corrected paint and coating on top of that just for the owner to go into those 1 minute automatic tumbler carwash because they didnt know any better and ruin the whole finish. I learned the hard way that learning the customer and teaching them proper paint care along the way should be part of detailing and not only detailing itself as I've seen people use the duster using 5 lbs of force, or even drying their car with a 10 year old absorber, or drying the car with a bathing towel. Please post some vids on the coating products you use and what you recommend for a dd.

In your opinion:What is the best paint protection, other then coatings, for someone's car that will be going through a carwash monthly?

Not sure if I missed this in the video, is ceramic coating more value for money in the long run for the consumer? (assuming no mishaps/accidents) compared with a "similar" upkeep with wax & sealants.

Lol relatable with having a daily beater. Working in construction its easier to drive a beater and not worrying about the elements the industrial fallouts and etc.. And parking next ti sprinklers.

I use the sealant Junkman was talking about with the 36 hr cure time, it polishes out light marring from washing with ONR. Polymere sealant was applied last week and topped it with a liquid wax/sealant (rubbed it on by hand) and now it looks amazing. This should give me plenty of paint protection for the upcoming winter weather. Normally, I use a spray wax to keep a coating on the paint to prevent oxidation. My vehicle is parked outside and looks like it was just purchased from a dealer (that's what the safety inspection station said LOL) Junkman, I just ordered some polish products from HT due to the price difference of other popular brands. Have you ever used anything besides the sealant and tire dressing?

Specific brands in specific situations would be useful?!
@Junkman20088 жыл бұрын
Not really an issue. A wax is a wax, the difference being man made or natural. Both will work but their duration times will differ. Same with sealants.
@AlexanderHonsVonEber8 жыл бұрын
+Junkman2000 Thanks brother, I really appreciate your input, I get the waxes but having a hard time discerning between different coatings- which brand / how long or which is best for the weekend warriors , idk...too many choices.
@Junkman20088 жыл бұрын
William That would be a research assignment. There's where you have to do the Google research and first locate the different types or coatings out there as Levi pointed out in this video, and then make a decision. In a nutshell, it comes down to whether or not you are looking for a professional brand that must be applied by an authorized service center or a DIY brand. That is the FIRST choice that you have to make before you can even begin your research. Then your choices get narrowed down big time.

@Junkman20088 жыл бұрын
Good feedback Dane. You're correct when you say that some topics are kinda technical and that's really the only way to discuss them. There's also a LOT of interest with this topic so a bunch of folks are going to be very interested to hear what is talked about in this video.
