Ahhh this was so good to see,I had mini braids in for a month and a half and when I took them down I washed my hair and these knots formed I was so devastated but they weren't even to her level and seeing you detangle them till they were gone helped me because I was detangling along with you guys.

Healthy relaxed hair care is important. I am glad you featured it on your channel. Relaxed hair needs even more attention and care than natural virgin hair because it has undergone a chemical treatment that weakens hair significantly. With a good hair regimen within a year she will see significant changes.

I never suggets using water on already matted hair. I suggest using a thick oil. Like blue magic. I have 4c almost waste length hair and that is a game changer It melts that build up away and the slip keeps breakage minimal.

I had that issue after braids for about a month - I thought my hair matting was caused due to my hypothyroidism - I combed it out & it REMATTED once the water hit it

Okay that was quiet a job 🙆🏽‍♀️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. I am wondering how it got to that after keeping the braids for only a month 🤔. I plan on keeping my box braids for 2 months, they are 2 weeks and 2 days old now. Hope I won't have such a challenge when I remove them. The longest I have stayed with a hairstyle such as box braids is 6 weeks. I am currently removing my daughter's, she has had cornrows (with extensions) for 2 months. There is some product buildup but it is manageable. I am detangling as I unplait.

I think keeping moisturization up even when the braids are in will drastically reduce such matting because the hair will stay lubricated! See how you go and let us know🥳

@@CoilyDiaries will let you know how it goes. I moisturise every other day, will continue doing so. I suspect my girl was skipping some days, probably that's why the hair is like this. I'll ask her to moisturise it this morning then I'll finish unplaiting her in the evenings after I knock off. Will let you know how that goes. Thanks for the tip 🙂👌🏾

thanks sis! you are right about protein treatments but the hair needs to be transitioned or cut even if she chooses to continue relaxing it. it’s so damaged. Ambunu is a must try hun😊
