Greetings from Rochester NY. I came across your videos today. I’m really enjoying them. Very well put together, great commentary, you let us know the VDI numbers, depth and no foul language or stupidity. Hats off to you for your honesty in returning lost jewelry. Here in Rochester I do a lot of fresh water detecting. I’m close to Lake Ontario and other large lakes. Thanks for your videos. Bob.

Not really metal detecting related but the beginning of your video with the gray skies, your blue shirt and the white sand was a beautiful color composition. Thanks for the video!

Nice to see you metal detecting with your dad , keeps yall close and nice rings. extreme scoops are the best and well worth it, just watch leading edge its softer and will flex more than stainless steel but worth the lesser weight John added a extra front support plate for free and its been great ever since love your moral character to get rings back to owners its touching keep being good.WATCHING FROM VA.

Great hunt! The Deus2 loves the water! You can pinpoint easily with the tip of the coil. The BeachP is the go to program for the beach. Once you get the pitch tones in your head you won’t have to worry if it’s a high tone or low tone. Size differential as well as depth detection are so much better in pitch tone. Try it out you can’t lose with the Deus2! Great luck to you and the Deus2!

Our lakes water is down 7 feet, you talk about having some fun, 3 gold rings, 3 silver rings and a bunch of silver coins and clad. I wait each week to see how far it will go down old swim hole in 1960-1970 now no swimming allowed unless you got a boat. Can't wait to go back again.

Hey Red😂, push the right top and bottom button at the same time for a second to turn on the large vdi numbers for viewers. I also suggest a pair of Tony Eisenhower phones for the D2, much better sound on deep targets. You’ll love the D2 and I bet it will soon be your go to for all hunting. I was on your other coast last week in Miami and dug a beautiful 14K diamond/ sapphire ring 10g. And my buddy got a 43 gram chain plus 18K band. Happy Hunting & Holidays

Love your videos. What settings in the D2 are you using in the water? I’ve been playing around to reduce the chatter on the factory beach programs but I’m afraid I might be missing targets.
@DetectFlorida4 ай бұрын
I use a modified beach program. The factory defaults for sensitivity are way too high for saltwater. I use tracking ground balance, and regularly adjust my sensitivity for the area I'm hunting

The last ring is typical handmade silver wire. Gold is never made into like that.
@migachev5710 ай бұрын
super cool channel, please tell me how is your favorite metal detector? Do you need a permit to search on a Florida beach? Thank you
@DetectFlorida10 ай бұрын
Thank you! My favorite detector is currently the Deus II, but I really enjoy using the Minelab Manticore too. As far as permits go, you don't need a permit unless you want to hunt the water on the treasure coast. Most other beaches are good to go. Just keep in mind that beachfront property owners own up to the mean high tide line in Florida and they can legally ask you to leave
@migachev5710 ай бұрын
@@DetectFlorida I really appreciate it! And as for the water, if I want to go into the water up to my waist, will there be any problems with that? I really like your channel and would like to try it too!

What detector are you using? Been honing my skills with a X-Terra Pro but mostly in parks. Looking forward to camping at the beach for 5 days in March!

So have you ever had close calls with ocean wildlife while detecting? Any "omg" experiences or cool stories? I know it seems ordinary to you, but when you say stuff like "sanded in" we in the center of the country have no clue what that means😅 and a clump of seaweed would either scare me out of the water, or i would get eaten. 😂

I had a shark brush by me at Fort Myers beach a few years ago. I also had a mother dolphin threaten me by slapping her tail on the water while her baby swam in circles around me

I usually hunt the east coast Vero Beach area. I found a 1696 Peruvian Escudo. I would love to do this with my day as i live in Tampa. How do you find out if someone needs help recovering something?
@DetectFlorida11 ай бұрын
I usually scour facebook groups to find posts about lost items. I also get contacted by the ringfinders group occasionally. These days, a lot of local people know me, so they tag me in lost item posts. That makes it a whole lot easier! haha
