Great finds, keep swinging and pinging, dig 'em all, 'cause you never know what you'll turn up!! Keep up the good work and keep these vids coming! Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 👍🙏😇👊 P.S.: Okay, after finding the silver coin, then when you first saw the round shape, I know the only thing going through your mind was "COIN, COIN ANOTHER COIN" yahooooo-oh heck, it's only a button!!!🤔

Every time I watch one of your videos, I get a bit homesick for the Rhineland-Pfalz. I lived there for three years and loved it very much, and your beautiful filming makes me remember-- I can practically smell the sunlight on the fields! Wonderful video-- that beautiful little Roman coin and horse-pendant in particular were marvelous; the pottery finds were really nice too, and I think you're right about the painted wall-plaster, it had that particular almost mulberry color that the Romans favored so much. Thanks for the video to you again, and thanks for taking such care with your farmer's crops!

What a great day you had in the Town field Hans the 4 silver coins plus the horse pendant, the fibular and 2 buttons must make you want to get back there to see what next you find. I think there must have been a Roman villa close by with the samien ware in the field and I think the 3 German coins you found are among your favourite coins? The blue flower you showed us is a wild geranium, I used to have that plant and other colours in my garden. I'm not sure if they were hares or rabbits we saw earlier but it was great to see them as seeing the poppies and the teasels. Its a shame the thunder storm came but hopefully it will aid you in finding things on the surface when you go there again. I have been stressed today but now I feel relaxed, thank you Hans as I needed something gentle and absorbing to watch lol. God bless you my friend love and hugs Mary-Ellen UK

hello mary-ellen! glad you like the finds I made. I'm very happy about them as you can imagine. the roman denarius was my favourite find of the day as it draws the history of this field back to ancient times along with the pottery. the 3 german coins were great too. I like these small kreuzers. they are very small and that's why they got lost so often :) the 2 cuties where hares.. they come in abundance in the area where I detect. I'm happy to hear that my video made you come down :) thank you for watching and for your kind comment my friend! all the best take care and big hugs, hans

It is so moving that you walk around, and pick up a piece of pottery that was thrown by hand two millennia ago. It's as though you reached out across time and touched the hand of the potter. What a remarkable day, and it ended in poppies!

Here in Australia we have Eurppean influenced histoty that only goes back 350 odd yrs We have a very rich Indigenous history that goes back over 40,000 yrs, but that basically provides no detectable history ,which in a way is unfortunate becausewe have no" concrete" evidence. Our indigenous elders are carriers of our early history ,both real and mythologically

Great video and finds! I just returned from 3,000 mile round trip drive to the town in Michigan's Upper Peninsula where my father was born in 1920. The town was founded around 1880 following the discovery of large iron and copper deposits in the area. As such it became a boom town. By 1920 there were around 25,000 people in the town...today around 4,400. It had been a miner's town full of bars, saloons and brothels and I've always thought it would be a great place to detect. I was right! Not for me though, but for a volunteer at the town's historical society and museum whom I met while there. Many of his metallic finds as well as bottles and stoneware are displayed in the museum. In his 26 years of detecting he has also found 1,300 silver coins including silver dollars as well as almost 50 gold coins of various denominations. Of course nothing anywhere near as old as what you find, but exciting nonetheless. Today the entire area around the town has pretty much returned to the wilderness it once was before Europeans arrived.
