I found my first silver coin in Forest Park in 1974. Only a War Nickel but it was a milestone! Good luck!

Looks like a fun time.. As a child we had several boulevard path ways and empty lots where we played football, baseball and climbed trees located within the areas. It would be fun to go back there and detect it to see what could be found today.

Very interesting video. I know of a neighborhood in San Francisco just like this so there is a high chance there was once a trolly line there as well. I’m going to view Google Maps in a different way now and look for this type of thing with the thought that there could have been a trolley line once there before. It would be great to see videos of remains of old pilings by waterways since ferries were common in the older days. I believe that can be overlooked with metal detecting and I’m starting to look for places like that.

Check out the historical aerials website. You could probably get good info on what used to be there.
