Question: When searching for nuggets amongst those boulders. Wouldnt a VLF detector work as good? Not far down to bedrock and some VLF machines have good discrimination.

A VLF would work fine but you don't ever want to use discrimination when searching for gold. Yow want to check all metal targets.

Gary / Jeff just wondering do you have a pinpointer with your metro detector? I have one and just wondered why not use it on crevices, I’m pretty sure it’s been thought of before just thought I’d ask . Nice video gentlemen.... great to see the two of ya together .

I have never liked them. I tried all types and they are all pretty much the same. They will only go a inch or so deep and the frequency is to low for gold.

What's your take on elevation for better deposits ? Seams like its best from 1700 to high 3000 ft. Depending on the area also.

Depends on the drainage. Feather, around 1500 to 4000, Yuba 3000 to 5000.
